EDITOR’S NOTE In the last issue I was discussing whether RPM Magazine was just another car magazine with sexy women gracing the covers. Well, it must be true cause I can’t decide which looks better; the car or Cindy. So for those wondering where this magazine is going, look inside this issue and find out for yourself. If you’re too star struck by the cover girl, here’s the run down on what to look forward to. Hummers have made a large impact in the SUV industry since the introduction of the H2, inside you’ll be able to discover the new heights of this luxury super truck. In addition, Mercedes has recently introduced the Maybach, a luxury vehicle which truly needs no introduction but we at RPM have one ready for an academy award winner. I know I’m leaving something out! Oh yeah! Just cause Cindy Margolis is sexy, sultry, and scorching hot, you can’t forget to gaze at her collection of vehicles specifically customized to fit her fashion. From creation of the Porsche GT3 to both Mercedes CL55 and SL55, Cindy rumbles the streets with the attitude epitomized from each vehicle. Her style, fashion, and grace comes second nature for the Internets most downloaded female. RPM Magazine has made it through 2003 with a big bang thanks to its hard working staff. I know it’s been a roller coaster ride during this past year but we’ve made a large impact in the luxury automotive lifestyle. As a new breed in this industry, we were fortunate to have a strong dedicated staff and advertisers to bring us to the top of the competitive market. We at RPM appreciate the efforts and the sacrifices everyone made to create this magazine. I l know its been a grueling 365 days but united will stand above all the rest.

Ford wrote motor racing history in 1966 by becoming the first American manufacturer to win the gruelling 24 Hours of LeMans race. The epic victory was scored by the Ford GT (commonly known as the GT40), which went on to win another three times at LeMans. Today the performance of the GT is still considered the highlight in Ford's rich racing history and it holds a special place in many racing enthusiasts' hearts. To celebrate their centennial anniversary Ford decided to give its most legendary design a rebirth, almost forty years after it first roared down the long straights of LeMans. The first strong sign of a new 'Ford GT' was the introduction of the Ford GT Concept at the 2002 Detroit Motorshow (NAIAS). Clearly styled after the racer of the 1960s, the GT

Concept was a major highlight of the show. The success of the Concept convinced Ford to create a production version, the announcement was made just 45 days after the vehicle's launch. Ideal time and place for the launch of Ford's new supercar would be the company's centennial celebrations at their Dearborn facility. Like its illustrious predecessor, the 2005 Ford GT is powered by a rumbling V8 engine. The unit used is the largest version of the 'MODular' engine, which is used all through the Ford range. Ford's Special Vehicle Team (SVT) extensively modified the quad-cam engine to bring it up to par with the 7-litre engines used in the 1960s racers. Equipped with an Eaton supercharger the engine produces 500 bhp and 500 ft/lb of torque.

Although one usually comes at the cost of the other, high structural rigidity and low weight of the chassis were two of the engineers' main objectives. Completely constructed from aluminum, the GT's spaceframe offers the best of both. Fitted on the chassis are lightweight aluminum bodypanels. Aluminum was also used for the independent suspension, made up of unequal length A-arms. SVT met the objectives set by Ford and the first three production GTs were delivered right on time for the Dearborn celebrations. In a big presentation in front of thousands of people, the three GTs were driven on the stage by three of Ford Motorsport's biggest legends. Three-time Ford powered Formula 1 World Champion, Jackie Stewart drove the first on the stage, with SVT's director John Coletti as his passenger. They were followed by 1967 LeMans winner Dan Gurney, who was driven on stage by Nick Sheele, Ford's Chief Operating Officer. The final car was driven by the vice president of Ford Advance Product Creation Chris Theodore, with 1960’s team manager of the LeMans winning GT40s, Caroll Shelby in the passenger seat. The last six images in the picture gallery above show the GT-presentation. In the third image Jackie Stewart is pictured driving the GT off the stage.

The House of the raging bull is responding with its newest race model to the rising customer demand to introduce a full blown race car at a reasonable price. With the Lamborghini Murciélago R-GT clients can compete in national and international race events such as the European FIA GT Championship or the American LeMans Series in the United States. Vehicles for customers will be available by 2004. Reiter Engineering will enter a Murciélago R-GT in the FIA GT races at Estoril, 5 October and at Monza on October 19, 2003. Jointly developed with Reiter Engineering and Audi Sport, the Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT made its debut at the 2003 Frankfurt Motorshow (IAA). The 'R-GT' embodies Lamborghini's return to GT racing after campaigning race versions of the Diablo in the past. Built to comply with FIA and ACO regulations, it is equipped with a air-restricted 6 litre V12 engine. Mated to the engine is a six-speed sequential gearbox. Unlike its four wheel drive road going counterpart, the R-GT's power is brought to the road by its rear wheels only. At the Estoril and Monza races of the 2003 FIA GT Championship, the Murcielago R-GT will make its debut. From 2004, it will be available for customers to race, at a price of below 500,000 Euro.

PIAA Offers Unique, Distinctive Sports Horn The dual-frequency unit replaces single-frequency horns offered on most new andlate model vehicles, providing an added level of safety Many owners of new and late model vehicles wish they had a louder, more distinctive horn. PIAA Corporation, USA answers this need with its new Sports Horn. PIAA, known for its premium fog and driving lights, windshield wipers and wheels, has applied its quality engineering to produce this top notch replacement for the factor horns of a wide variety of cars, trucks and SUVs. The suggested retail price is an affordable $46.95. The PIAA Sports Horn, a two-tone system, differs from most of today’s factory horns, which are single-tone. One PIAA horn has a sound frequency of 400Hz; the other is 500Hz. The two tones combine to produce an attention-getting 115dB of sound. Each horn attaches easily with a single mounting screw and the dual unit takes power from the vehicle’s existing horn. Combined current draw is 5.4A. Gullwing doors and tuning up to 718 hp / 528 kW and 1,120 Nm Spectacular Opera DESIGN tuning for the SL Roadster Gullwing doors and engine tuning up to 718 hp / 528 kW maximum power and 1,120 Nm of maximum torque: Opera DESIGN turns the current Mercedes SL roadster into one of the world's most spectacular and most powerful sportscars. Opera DESIGN developed a gullwing door conversion for the open Mercedes which doesn't only fascinate with its extraordinary design but especially with its reasoned construction. During the conversion the car's body front end and the windshield frame are reinforced. In addition the aluminum doors of the SL are modified to make them swing upwards to the front on stainless steel hinges, which are fixed above the Opera DESIGN sport side mirrors. The gullwing doors give the two-seater car an extremely spectacular look. In opened position the Opera DESIGN gullwing doors get supported by gas pressure shock absorbers. Nevertheless the doors can be easily opened from inside and outside. In addition the construction allows the subsequent use of the standard door locks. As a result the doors close as precisely as on the standard car no matter whether the retractable hardtop is opened or closed. The Opera DESIGN gullwing door conversion is available for all Mercedes SL models of the R 230 range. To live up to the exciting gullwing door design, Opera DESIGN provides performance tuning for all motorizations of the Mercedes SL-Class. There is a wide range to choose from: The SL 350 can be powered up from standard 245 hp / 180 kW to 300 hp / 220 kW at 6,200 rpm with the Opera DESIGN OP 350 SPORTKIT. The normally aspirated V8 engine of the SL 500 can be tuned up in different stages. The program contains the Opera DESIGN OP 330 and OP 360 performance kits and three different increased-capacity engines in all

up to the Opera DESIGN OP 60 engine with 420 hp / 309 kW and a maximum torque of 620 Nm at 2,950 rpm only. After the conversion the two-seater car accelerates in 5.2 seconds from 0 - 100 km/h and is 296 km/h fast. The V8 supercharger engine of the SL 55 can be powered up to 560 hp / 412 kW with the Opera DESIGN OP 560 SPORTKIT. Alternatively available is the Opera DESIGN OP 58 K increased capacity engine, which delivers 620 hp / 456 kW and 800 Nm of maximum torque. With it the sprint from 0 100 km/h only takes 4.2 seconds. After 12.2 seconds the roadster is 200 km/h fast. Maximum speed is electronically restricted to 320 km/h. Extra power is of course also available for the SL 600 top-of-the-line model: The Opera DESIGN OP 610 SPORTKIT tunes up the V12 twin turbo engine to 610 hp / 448 kW and 980 Nm of maximum torque. Ultimate power is provided by the Opera DESIGN OP 60 BT increased-capacity engine. A special crankshaft and bigger pistons increases the displacement to 5,921 cm_. In addition the cylinder-heads and combustion chambers get modified and sport camshafts are installed. Above and beyond the Opera DESIGN OP 60 BT engine is armed with bigger turbochargers, a likewise larger intercooler and a high performance exhaust system including metal-bed catalysts. The performance data of the engine and the road performances of the car are a class of its own: With a maximum power of 718 hp / 528 kW and a maximum torque of 1,120 Nm, which is electronically limited to 1,000 Nm out of consideration for the power transmission, the V12 Biturbo roadster from Opera DESIGN catapults in 3.9 seconds from 0 - 100 km/h, in 11.2 seconds from 0 - 200 km/h and in 23.9 seconds from 0 - 300 km/h. Maximum speed is 340 km/h. Vibrant sound is the forte of the Opera DESIGN sport exhaust system with four

tailpipes, which is available in different versions for all SL models. For the V8 of the SL 500 there are also available stainless steel exhaust manifolds. In addition Opera DESIGN gives the roadster a purebred Grand Prix look for the road: Opera DESIGN has put particular emphasis on design elements which originate from Grand Prix sports. The Opera DESIGN front spoiler, which is fixed on the standard bumper of the SL, doesn't only give the face of the two-door car even more striking features: Its twin wing profile also minimizes the lift on the front axle at high speeds. The SL looks more stretched and lower with the Opera DESIGN side skirts which have integrated aluminum fins as a special design feature. The retractable hardtop of the SL can be upgraded with the Opera DESIGN clear-coated Carbon roof skin which gives the car even more racing flair. The back of the SL can be upgraded with the Opera DESIGN rear panel with integrated diffuser and the discreet Opera DESIGN rear wing which spans over the trunk lid. These components were also designed to realize an optimal symbiosis from sporty styling and aerodynamic function. The multi-piece Opera DESIGN OP5 light alloy wheels are available for all SL-Class models. The five-spoke wheels with highly polished outside wells can be fitted in the dimensions 9Jx20 front and 11Jx20 on the rear axle. The combination 255/30 ZR 20 and 315/25 ZR 20 was tested out to be the optimal combination for the new SL. To lower the SL 350 about 35 millimeters, Opera DESIGN offers progressive sport springs. The ABC suspension of the bigger models can be modified with the Opera DESIGN electronic module, which lowers the bodywork up to 30 millimeters at the touch of a button. Opera DESIGN provides exclusive accessories for the SL cockpit like an ergonomically designed airbag-sport-steering-wheel just like individual leather trims in biggest color variety.

Sexy with Style . . . How else can one start to describe what’s in front of their eyes in these next few pages . . . Cindy Margolis. . . a household name, in any house, especially ours. All you bling bling ballers out there, watch out, ‘cause here comes Cindy, and she is coming strong. RPM has given our readers many different flavors, but we think we’ve outdone ourselves this time. Actually, Cindy’s outdone us this time. Super model Cindy Margolis was kind enough to invite RPM into her household to show us her rides. Of course we couldn’t resist her line-up of cars, but we’d be lying if we didn’t say that we felt privileged to be doing a spread with Cindy Margolis, the "Queen of Internet." Now for those of you guys with wishful thinking, step back this time around because our source to Cindy was her husband, Guy Starkman, whose family owns and operates the famous Jerry’s Deli’s, well known throughout Southern California. Guy approached RPM Magazine and brought up to us that we

had yet to showcase vehicles owned by the female gender, though we showcased many talented models. He felt that Cindy would give us a run for our money, while giving us the hot rides as well as the classy model. It didn’t take us but half of a second to say yes, (we’ve seen plenty of Cindy, so we knew what to expect) and her car collection did attract our attention. So with our desire to bring you readers a real beauty, out we went. Were we in for a surprise as we rolled up to her home. Her rides weren’t luxury rides with chromed out wheels, they were downright stunners. After a short conversation with Cindy, we found out why these cars were so hot. All of her vehicles were purchased through Exclusive Motorcars of Beverly Hills. Exclusive Motorcars specializes in what we call niche cars. Anything that is hard to get or has a nice premium, these guys have, and if they don’t have it in stock, their ability to acquire it quickly is amazing. Exclusive Motorcars is also closely affiliated with Oracle Motorsports, a high-end vehicle customization company. So when you put Cindy into that triangle, you are definitely onto some masterpiece creations. Read on and see what we mean.

CL55 For all of you Benzo fanatics out there, this is probably the Mac Daddy of Mercedes’. This is Benz’s soup’d up CL500, outperforming even their V12 CL600. Mercedes Benz sends the regular CL to their high performance division, better know to us as AMG. AMG then turns this car into the monster. In fact, have you seen their latest commercial on TV? If so, you’ll know what we mean. This supercharged 5.5L V8 powerplant puts out close to 500 HP and delivers 560 lbs of torque. Now that’s impressive. For those of you interested a bit more on the technical side, this twin-screw compressor motor is a 24 valve unit which makes its peak power at 6100 rpm and its maximum boost is a tad over 13 psi, or 0.9 bar. This type of compressor has internal compression, thus increasing its efficiency at high boost levels. Now AMG doesn’t just take an existing engine and bolt on a supercharger, they literally build a complete new motor. Not only does AMG strive to achieve massive horsepower, they continue to produce products with solid reliability, which is a classic Mercedes-Benz trait. So one asks, what can be done to a vehicle like this to make it even better rpm magazine •

28 • ISSUE 06

that what it is? Well, here goes. First of all, the biggest and quickest aesthetic change to a vehicle is in its wheels. Cindy wanted something different, something that you just couldn’t roll out with at your local MBZ dealership. Being that the CL55 is equipped with extra large AMG brake calipers, putting a wheel on this vehicle to clear those brakes was no easy task. Oracle Motorsports customized a set of 19" L-Sportline Model 4’s for this project. With a 19x8.5 in the front and a 19x9.5 in the rear, Cindy already had the hot set up, but that wasn’t enough. We still needed more. So next the centers of these already awesome looking multi-piece wheels were removed, and custom paint was applied to them. After the wheel mods had been done, the vehicle had to be lowered to fill the gap in the wheel wells. Next the windows were darkened to give it that Southern Ca flavor, and last but not least, the emblems and grille were colormatch and dipped in black chrome to really make this vehicle trick. For those of you who wonder what can be done to a vehicle that leaves the showroom floor at the $120,000 mark, there you have it. Leave it in the hands of Exclusive Motorcars and Oracle Motorsports and no one will be able to touch you.

PEOPLE MOVERS

So we were barely getting over Cindy’s CL55 and got ready to shoot her next ride and got the jitters all over again. We were now looking directly at her SL55. Did we mention that these 55’s are very hard to acquire and either need a hefty premium, or some friends in some high places? Well in Cindy’s case, it was the latter. Her husband’s long time relationships with the Penskes’ (yes, those Penskes’) had Cindy in one of the first SL55’s to roll off the assembly line, from Penske Motorcars. What a sight for our eyes. If we looked left, there was the CL55, if we looked right, it was the SL55. As you all know, the SL55 is the two passenger convertible in the Mercedes line-up. Since this was the more weekend top down ride, Cindy opted to have 20" wheels on this badass tanning mobile. This time Oracle Motorsports turned to it’s best seller, Lowenhart. The multi-piece Lowenhart BR-5’s, wrapped in Pirelli rubbers, were hands down the cleanest wheels for this topless beauty, and once again, the black centers were a must. After a little suspension modification and some black chrome trim from the guys over at Exclusive Motorcars, we had a mirror’d look from the CL55 coupe. The SL55 houses the same powerplant as in the CL55 and is just a beauty to drive. The SL55 had a neat plus, which was the suede headliner and pillar panels and sunvisors. By the way, the factory exhaust in both these Benzo’s were AMG quad tipped breathers and looked incredible as they flowed out from the sporty AMG bumpers. The SL55 was a dream to view and for a sec, we almost forgot about Cindy. . .yeah right !

The next 2 vehicles which we previewed are Cindy’s people movers. The 2002 Lexus LS430 is Cindy’s around town cruiser. Of course it has to have wheels on it too. The L-Sportline Model 2’s are wrapped in Michelin rubber and are 18"s in diameter and are manufactured specifically for the Lexus. L-Sportline is one of the few true Lexus tuners who strictly manufacture products for the Lexus. The next step on this LS430 will be the L-Sportline ground effects kit. L-Sportline also manufactures suspension and exhaust systems for the LS430, as well as for the rest of the Lexus family.

The only SUV that lives in this household is an ’03 Cadillac ESV. The big brother to the Escalade, this SUV is derived from the Suburban floorplan but on the inside, Cadillac has really done their homework. With the nice plush leather interior and the wrap around wood trim, one can see the Cadillac history right away. The famous Cadillac Crest is found throughout the vehicle and its heritage speaks for itself. This stretched Escalade sits on the new 22" MOMO Storm and is wrapped in 304/45-22 Toyo Proxes. The ESV was on its way to Exhaust Tech for a custom built exhaust system. Exhaust Tech has plans to build a 4 inch free flowing system with dual outlet chrome tips for Cindy. The interior of the ESV is awaiting Icon headrest monitors as well as all the Playstation 2 toys. Excellent choices in two very sweet around town rides.

Encore So there we thought we had it. Two awesome collector Mercedes Benzs’, Lexus’ flagship sedan, and the big brother to the famous Cadillac Escalade, the ESV. Call it a wrap. . . NOT!!! Just as we were about to wrap up this incredible photo session, here comes a flatbed pulling up to the house with Cindy’s newest toy, a 2003 Porsche GT3. This black beauty is sweeeeeet. We quickly took our equipment back out to truly finish off a wonderful day. This 380 hp beast just was calling someone out to drive it. The rear wing gave it a grand effect and we could only imagine what this machine would look like flying by us at 185 plus mph, with Cindy in the drivers seat. Porsche already had 18x8.5 wheels in the front and 18x11 wheels in the rear, but after from what we understood, Oracle Motorsports already had a set

of 19x8.5 and 19x11 Maya’s for this beast. Of course chrome lips and black centers. Cindy was looking for a black GT3 so not long after she requested this baby, Exclusive Motorcars found it and had it delivered. How’s that for service. Cindy doesn’t even need to go into their dealership. RPM is definitely wondering what’s next. We do know that we will be back here for a follow up on the GT3 right after Exclusive Motorcars and Oracle Motorsports gets their hand on it. In conclusion, we believe our readers will side with us that this super model has displayed some incredible vehicles, if not the finest we’ve showcased. Many props to the talents of Exclusive Motorcars and Oracle Motorsports and most of all to Cindy’s wonderful choice in vehicles. In short, today was a magnificent display of being sexy with style.

maybach Picture yourself leaving a ridiculously large mansion with tons of servants and a yard bigger that two football stadiums. Now picture yourself taking a ride in the backseat of the car that would complete this imagination. Not clear yet? Well consider the images to be true. No, you didn’t win the lottery nor did your rich, estranged uncle leave you his millions. You just stepped into the new Maybach. Finally, an extreme lavish upgrade has been added to the classic designs of the Mercedes-Benz models. With an already strong reputation for luxury, class, comfort and style, Mercedes-Benz has once again outdone themselves by re-introducing the Maybach. Christened after the first Mercedes-Benz designer, Wilhelm Maybach, the vehicle dates back more than seven decades and has finally undergone the much needed makeover to welcome it to the 21st century.

maybach

A new look, a new design, and with a wide selection of combinations of accessories and options, the Maybach could very well be called the automobile of choice. With so much to choose from, decision-making can become a little difficult. The two models Maybach 57 and Maybach 62 are conveniently named for their size. Huge and loaded with luxurious extras, the Maybach was meant to please even the most demanding car buff. Satisfaction is truly guaranteed when it comes to every dimension of this vehicle without holding back on any of the extras. The Maybach blasts away its competition with its fierce 550 horsepower, 5.5 liter twin turbo V12 engine. This newly developed engine produces high output and torque values that make it a leader in its class. A vehicle this large is usually limited to speed because of its weight, but the Maybach surpasses this setback by its powerful engine. With a maximum velocity of 155mph, the Maybach jumps from 0 to 60pmh in 5.4 seconds. Not only is the Maybach fast for its class, but it also comes equipped with an innovated air suspension system created specially for a smooth and comfortable ride. Power and speed are important, but with all the extras the Maybach has it would be hard to fully enjoy them while its shaking or swaying. The AIRMATIC DC regulates the air volume by distributing it depending on the driving situation. During a rugged ride, the air suspension temporarily disables part of the air volume it contains and hardens the spring action controlling turbulence. During regular driving, the air volume remains produc-

ing a comfortable ride. Nearly unshakable, the Maybach’s leveled ride is only matched by its interior comfort. 22-inch tires heighten the already luxurious look to the Maybach and compliment the 22-inch Lowenhart wheels. Created specifically with the luxury vehicle in mind, the Lowenhart wheels give the Maybach a flashy, even more intriguing look. On top of luxury and speed, the designers focused on specific details to maximize the overall pleasure of driving, or as I mentioned earlier, the joy of being driven. While the power the Maybach holds underneath the hood is an important aspect of the vehicle, the Maybach has much, much more to offer. If hundreds of ways of personalizing your own Maybach wasn’t enough, customers still have the option of choosing from 17 paint finishes for the exterior, a choice of six leather colors, and three types of fine wood for the panel and the rest of the interior. Talk about a rich man’s taste, just being in the presence of the Maybach can be compared to a kid in a candy store (one stocked with every single piece of candy imaginable). Choosing the right extras and even deciding on the exterior color can be tough but personalization is significant to all car owners and Maybach offers so many options that each vehicle could be considered a one of a kind. The customer also has a choice of custommade accessories specially made for the Maybach. From sterling silver champagne goblets to a humidor, or official luggage to a golf bag, every personality was considered in the accessory development.

maybach

So whether you’re on your way to a fancy dinner and decide to have a little pre-party sip of champagne, or you’re on your way to the green to shoot a few holes, again, the Maybach has you covered. Safety is always a top concern for drivers and the Maybach provides the ultimate protection package. Aside from the body structure, ten airbags are conveniently located throughout the car for the protection of every passenger. Anyone who enters and rides the vehicle can be assured to know that extreme levels of safety features were a priority in the design. Incorporated into the seats are the threepoint seatbelts that are highly structured for belt tension and to limit force from a sudden impact. Basically, a concept of a standstill pas-

senger is the theme for the seatbelt design. The Maybach’s braking system adds more safety points by its groundbreaking Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC ™) developed by Mercedes-Benz. The system contains two central control units, two-high pressure reservoirs and two hydraulic units. In layman’s terms, the car is equipped with eight braking circuits guaranteeing safe deceleration and stopping. Also standard is an electronic control system which monitors tire pressure. No more having to stop at the gas station to check your tire pressure, once again the Maybach comes through. Pressure sensors in the four tire valves measure inflation pressure along with inside temperature. The long list of safety features continues with the design of the doors, which are made completely out of

aluminum. The larger back doors give the driven passengers more space and create a more private setting. The door design also features a closing aid that pulls all doors shut if left open at a 15-degree angle. The body frame is also equipped with safety measures that create an all around protection box which shields the dashboard, side walls, understructure, and rear-end regions of the vehicle. Entertainment and luxury go hand in hand and are another added bonus to the already fully stocked Maybach. Again, an utmost focus on the driving experience is put into play with the degree of technology added. The Maybach is equipped with two flat screen monitors connected to a TV tuner and a DVD player.

maybach Taking a long trip? Just pop in your favorite DVD or watch your favorite show on your way, you may not want to get out once you got there. The included entertainment package also contains a six CD changer in the rear with universal Dolby surround sound and optional wireless headphones. The Maybach 62 includes a reclining chair with your choice of a refrigerator compartment for a relaxing ride. How much more pampered can you get? The vehicle itself is like a mobile home, and not the ones that are stationed at the parks but the ones resembling the mansions you see on MTV’s Cribs shrunken to car size. The vehicle continues to pamper the passenger by offering a new concept in lighting. Have you ever heard of a lighting concept for a car? The new ambient lighting feature was developed to create a unique environment in the interior. The

look and feel of a millionaire is surely present and can be noticed by every feature of the Maybach. Along with the new lighting concept, the optional panoramic roof accentuates the unique environment by its electro-luminescent membrane (EL membrane) lining that emits yet another form of subtle light over its entire surface. Talk about mood lighting, the Maybach comes prepared to perform at any given situation. For business man, an offered business package with a notebook is available along with a telephone system with two wireless phones. If still that wasn’t enough, the Maybach 62 offers its customers an intercom to maybe discuss the speed, time, or outside temperature with the driver. The word fancy barely gives the car justice. This vehicle is luxurious beyond belief and the mouth-dropping extras aren’t even close to be done.

The spacious design of both Maybach 57 and 62 models give the customer yet another choice for personalization. The Maybach 57 is 225.3 inches long while the 62 model is slightly longer at 242.5 inches. Both models are 78 inches wide and 62 inches tall. After taking into consideration the size, the specifications, the options and the non-stop list of extras, the price of the Maybach reflects every single detail implemented into the vehicle. Starting at a little over $300, 000, the Maybach provides everything needed for the ultimate drive. Nothing is overlooked, everything is overdone and considering the long list of features, the new Maybach is truly worth it. If you’re one of those people who feel they need to have everything, this is the vehicle for you. Not only is everything either included or available, the Maybach still gives room to upgrade.

new rides ChevySS

A modern interpretation of Chevrolet's Super Sport heritage, the Chevy SS is a contemporary four-door family sedan turned sports car. It packs rear-wheel drive with a high-technology version of the legendary small-block V-8, and high-performance suspension and brakes to match. The Chevy SS, a product of GM Design's Los Angeles studio, exudes power and performance at first glance with its intense, Victory Red exterior and a reflective Cromax glass finish. The design is fluid with a short front overhang, long dash-to-axle and wide, muscular fenders providing an aggressive stance. Powerful wheel arches house 21-inch front and 22-inch rear aluminum wheels with BF Goodrich performance tires. The package also includes side gills, sporty round taillamps, through-fascia dual exhaust and a brushed stainless steel panel surrounding the taillamps. Underneath the hood is the latest evolution of Chevy's race-proven smallblock V-8. The car's longitudinal all-aluminum 6.0-liter V-8 engine pumps 430 horsepower and 430 lbs.-ft. of torque. The engine is paired with a Hydra-Matic

4L65-E four-speed, rear-wheel-drive, electronically controlled automatic transmission. It also could be equipped with the fuel-saving Displacement on Demand technology, debuting on some in 2004 on some 2005 GM models, which shuts down half of the cylinders during most driving conditions and automatically and seamlessly reactivates them for more demanding conditions, such as brisk acceleration or load hauling. The SS features sophisticated low-arm SLA suspension and independent rear suspension for high-performance driving. The chassis features driveradjustable shocks to change the damping ratio. The SS driver can tune the chassis for a softer setting during the week and dial in more performance for track days on the weekend. To complete the performance package, the brakes are six-piston calipers with 14inch rotors up front, and four-piston calipers with 14.45-inch rotors on the rear. To help make the SS friendlier for everyday driving, it also is equipped with active-traction control.

In form, power and opulence, the 2003 Cadillac Sixteen embodies the timeless qualities of an exceptionally luxurious super-sedan with its sleek, gemstone appearance. The rear-wheel-drive Cadillac Sixteen brings forth the exclusivity and grandeur of the custom-built Fleetwood coach cars of the 1930s for today's generation of exceedingly wellheeled customers of discerning taste. The name speaks to the car's powerful 16-cylinder, 1000-horsepower engine and Cadillac's heritage as a maker of fine luxury automobiles. Cadillac's reputation grew exponentially during the '30s in no small part because of the development of the automotive industry's first V-16. The Cadillac Sixteen's grand exterior proportions create an unparalleled presence; its splendid interior is meticulously handcrafted and urbane. General Motors' designers drew extensively on the traditions of the coachbuilt era in crafting the Cadillac Sixteen, employing the distinctive talents of leading artisans for the upholstery, instrumentation, interior wood and metal elements, and aluminum body panels. As an exterior statement, the Cadillac Sixteen's proportional composition is bold. The aluminum hood is long, giving the Cadillac Sixteen tremendous dashto-axle dimension; the wheel arches were designed to accommodate the beautiful 24-inch polished aluminum wheels. The four-door hardtop incorporates an all-glass roof and is without B-pillars. Crisp-edged lines of the midnight silver aluminum body panels accentuate the Cadillac Sixteen's striking appearance. Even the engine compartment, with its sculpted design, has drama. With dual panels hinged about a center spine that runs the length of the expansive hood, it makes an event out of opening the engine bay. The hood panels are power-operated. The interior theme is evocative of the posh rpm magazine •

accommodations of 1930s-era Cadillacs, but with contemporary style. For instance, the dashboard features a center-mounted Bvlgari clock. The hand-stitched, Tuscany leather upholstered seats nestle the occupants. The right rear seat features power adjustable slope to recline like a chaise lounge. Warm, hand-woven silk carpets the floor in a light cream color that matches the leather upholstery. The dash, door panels, and front and rear consoles are trimmed with walnut burl veneer inlays. While GM designers drew inspiration from the ultra-luxury sedan's ancestry, the Cadillac Sixteen is thoroughly modern in its powerplant and technological content. The Cadillac Sixteen's 32-valve V-16 concept engine displaces 13.6 liters and is mated to a four-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission. The engine features fuel-saving Displacement on Demand technology, debuting in 2004 on some 2005 GM models, which shuts down half of the cylinders during most driving conditions and automatically and seamlessly reactivates them for more demanding conditions, such as brisk acceleration or load hauling cylinders when the driver needs the engine's full power. The engine produces 1000 horsepower and 1000 lbs.ft. of torque. The extensive use of aluminum components and structure provide substantial weight advantages. The aluminum-steel chassis employs high-arm SLA suspension up front and independent semi-trailing arm suspension in the rear. Four-wheel steering enhances the Cadillac Sixteen's maneuverability. The front and rear brakes are six-piston calipers with 16-inch rotors. Electronic amenities include a rear-seat DVD information system, Bose sound system, and the fifth-generation OnStar invehicle safety and security communication system. The head and tail lamps feature LED technology.

From Tonka Trucks to Power Wheels, we all had a fascination of bigger than life vehicles as children. We dreamed of the day we too could own a big truck like our dads, or a drive a monster truck that towered over the rest of the vehicles. As we got a little older, the importance for the size of the car was replaced by the adult-lead consideration of economy. It wasn’t until recently that the fascination returned. The Hummer embodies our childhood image of our old toy trucks that overpowered all of our other toys. The kid inside of all of us still wants to drive around in a monster truck that looks down at the smaller competition. With its new changes and features, the H2 continues to impress our childlike needs with its gadgets and overall technology.

ISSUE 06

The big daddy of SUVs has returned with a new makeover that transforms its military background into a super-stylish, supreme machine. Made popular by the guru of action films Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Hummer vehicles need no endorsement. One can say that the new H2 Hummer is the man’s-man choice SUV that includes everything from rough but elegant looks, excellent performance, durability and reliability. For added sophistication, the H2 underwent yet another change to become the Kazada Hummer H2. With a whole new redesign of interior and exterior features, the Kazada H2 becomes eyecandy to all pedestrians, and pretty much anyone with eyes. With its list of upgrades, now people won’t just envy the driver for the H2’s incredible looks; the driver will be envied for the entire package remake. Let’s start with the powerful, stock Vortec 6000 6.0 liter, V8 engine with a cast iron block, cast alu-

minum cylinder heads, and sequential fuel injection. Impressed yet? Well, the engine didn’t escape the improvement. A Vortech supercharger was also added along with a Volant recalibrated Mass Air Flow Sensor. The supercharger is an easy and affordable way of adding an average of 46% more horsepower and 31% torque. More power and more pull means greater performance. Whether towing or speeding, the new Kazada improvement comes prepared for any driving option. The included Mass Air Flow Sensor also adds an average of 10 points of horsepower by regulating the amount of air being let in which avoids airflow restriction. The Mass Air Flow Sensors can support an engine of up to 600 hp. With a whole new level or performance, the H2 satisfies the need for city and off road driving and is equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission.

aboveitall The H2’s characteristics are sharpened by the Kazada alterations. A new idea for the interior was also planned out and the outcome was generous. The interior continues its striking feel by adding Gucci material accent on the sunroof slide cover, and the seats. Gucci, being a worldwide famous name in fashion highlights the already plentiful interior. Talk about luxurious, with the already inclusive leather trimmed seats; the Gucci accents give it a more elegant, sophisticated vibe courtesy of CTL Motorsports located in Westminster, California. Personal taste is always necessary to the owner of a vehicle. Features are

changed, options are added and extras are included to give our cars a touch of personality. The Kazada H2 successfully excels in this area by defining its already included features. A chrome feel was added to the entire vehicle, which includes a chrome fuel cap and the door handle covers. The silver-like color of the fuel cap and handle covers easily stand out with a darker exterior paint job and they make an even better impression with chrome wheels. Kazada carbon fiber hood scoop and billet hood handles were also supplemented along with Kazada billet side hood vents and hood latches.

The carbon fiber material not only gives it a matching sense, but it guarantees longer durability. Carbon fiber is designed to be a lighter metal and is more sturdy and durable than plastic or fiberglass. The color of silver outlines the H2 with a new stainless steel cat back exhaust system with dual exhaust tips. The package also includes Kazada chromed AC vent rings, once again keeping with the chromed look of the vehicle. Like I said earlier, the entire change to the H2 gives a chrome impression and the matching extras continue with the wheels. The Kazada package also includes 40 inch TrxUS STX tires mounted on 20-inch Diamo wheels, which are a vast change considering the stock 17-inch tires on 17-inch cast aluminum wheels. The larger wheels seem to accommodate the lifted height of the H2 by providing more traction and an overall appealing feel. The 6-inch Kazada lift system with Kazada polished reservoir shocks yet again keep with the theme of a man’s man type of truck. Kazada has also upgraded the brakes by adding a cross-drilled brake kit that is recommended for wheels larger than 15". Safer brakes, larger wheels and tires are all good attributes of the new customized H2. Plain and simple, the inside has the soul of a luxury car while the outside is reminiscent of a monster truck. All common needs are met, the mature, adult need for comfort and style inside and the child’s appreciation for speed, power, and the lifted look of the new toy.

artinmotion It is said that men, after reaching a certain age are more vulnerable to purchasing outrageous things to keep ourselves feeling young. This is especially true when we reach our midlife crisis years. We want to wear clothes that make us feel a little younger, we want to pick up younger women and we want to drive shinny, new sports cars. Growing up we all gathered around to play "that’s my car" which if you remember, it basically meant you pointed out the hottest car cruising the block. We saw Beamers and Benzes but the most popular was the Porsche. We could picture ourselves speeding through the neighborhood riding along with a hot girl just showing off. The Porsche was the car to have and even after several years, the Porsche is still at the top of the list. For years, the Porsche car Company has produced quality cars backed by its high quality name. The famous Porsche name has always attracted guys of all ages and even older men with something to prove. One of the more popular of the series of vehicles is the Porsche 911. With its small frame and room for only you and that special someone, the 911 generates a class of its own by providing high possibilities of speed, power, performance, and of course style. Available in several different models including the Carrera Coupé, the Targa, and of course the 911 Turbo, each model varies in specifications which satisfy all tastes.

1997 brought forth the new era of the 911 series. The type 996 Porsche was introduced with a range of new technological upgrades including the revolutionary advancement of being the first water-cooled Porsche. Instead of the traditional cooling system, a cross-flow cooling system is used to ensure the equal distribution of coolant to all of the cylinders. The coolant passages are placed in the engine block reducing possible interruption or faults from hoses or pipes. After almost 35 years of air-cooled production, the 996 introduced the new improvement leading to higher, innovative levels of power and performance. As if the 1997 upgrade was not enough, the 2002 TechArt Turbo Porsche edition raises the bar of the already towering levels of power and performance. The original 1997 Porsche 996 created a 300 bhp of outright power and a torque level of 258 lb-ft.

Acceleration from 0 to 62 MPH was at prompt 5.2 seconds with a top track speed of 174 MPH. Six years later, the 996 is outdone by upgrades in speed and a small, but noticeable body change that completes the package. Customizing the already stylish and powerful 2002 996 Turbo into the CEC/TechArt 996 Turbo takes a lot of revamping and upgrading. An immediate performance upgrade is due to TechArt’s Turbo performance kit which includes the Turbo/GT3 High-flow air filter and a stainless steel turbo exhaust system with GT-2 100 cell sport catalytic converters and polished dual exhaust tips. Both upgrades are responsible for the 60 point increase in horsepower to a dominant 480 bhp. Talk about upgrade, an increase in 14% bhp performance takes its toll in the already fast vehicle. The speed was greatly increased as compared to the first 996 and the demand for the advancement is soon to increase too. Extreme speed is usually accompanied by unwanted turbulence and sway. Again, the TechArt 996 Turbo comes equipped with 3-way adjustable front and rear anti-sway bars and height

adjustable coil-over suspension that make it the ultimate blend for even handling. What good is a car if the actual driving experience isn’t good? The suspension adjusts for the appropriate handle and smoothness of the ride. Comfort is also followed by the prolific interior. The original 996 has a full leather interior that reaches the door trim and rear side panels. A hipper leather look interior ties the look of the vehicle with its performance levels. The factory version gives the driver a choice of five leather colors and the carpeting and aluminum features that give the interior an elegant look. The TechArt customizing continued to augment the interior by updating the leather trimmed steering wheel into a sportier-looking airbag steering wheel with a comfortable ergonomic grip that matches the interior color. The rest of the interior is also detailed with the TechArt ALU-Line interior package, which updates the switch panel, air vents, center console, and ashtray. Again, the interiors transformation gives the 996 a hipper look and feel and makes the entire console stand out because of the contrasting change. The nonstop change continues with aluminum foot pedals and footrest and illuminated doorsills.

artinmotion The body also underwent a more aerodynamic transformation. The front bumper has a lowered, curvier look with an adjustable splitter. Side skirts lengthen the appearance of the car while the rear bumper and rear wing add to the restructured sports feel. A safer brake system was also introduced. A Brembo 8-piston front caliper and 4-piston rear upgrade was added as used by popular sport racing vehicles. The faster the car, the bigger the need for better brakes. Brembo provides a high quality, split reacting brakes that improve security. Larger wheels are also introduced to the newlyvamped 996. The old 18x8 front and 18x11 in the rear are replaced by TechArt Formula’s 19x8.5 front and 19x11.0 rear. The larger wheels make the car more

noticeable (like it’s needed) and attract all who see. The Michelin Pilot Sport Tires 235/35/R19 front and 315/25/R19 rear are also an improvement and a flashy addition to the entire package. The remodeled 996 starts at just over $100,000 and includes most of the original Porsche parts. The upgraded parts are courtesy of TechArt which developed the customized beauty. Speed and style are the key words that describe the 996 Turbo which are validated by the specifications. The look and the feel make the car worth while and the upgrades give it the extra kick for the demanding driver. The customized body gives it an even sportier look that screams power and speed. Although I’m about 25 years away from midlife crisis, this is car is definitely going to remain on the top of my list.

The Big Block increased capacity engine for the new BMW 760i/Li: HAMANN HM 7.0 with 510 hp / 375 kW, 728 Nm and 311 km/h V/max Extra capacity instead of turbocharging: HAMANN catapults the new BMW 760i/Li into a new dimension of performance with the HAMANN HM 7.0 increased capacity engine: With 510 hp / 375 kW and 728 Nm of maximum torque the tuned luxury limousine accelerates from 0 - 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds only and is 311 km/h fast. The HAMANN capacity increase to 7,080 cm3 is made via the installation of a special crankshaft, the boring up of the cylinders and the fitting of bigger forged pistons. In addition the two cylinder-heads of the V12 four valve engine get machined and sport camshafts are installed. The tune-up also contains modifications on the air induction, the installation of a stainless steel made high performance exhaust system including special manifolds and metal-bed catalysators and a recalibrated ECU which perfectly coordinates all components. Of course the modified ECU also eliminates the standard electronic speed limit of 250 km/h. The conversion to HAMANN HM 7.0 specification improves maximum power from standard 445 hp / 327 kW to 510 hp / 375 kW at 6,000 rpm. Simultaneously the maximum torque grows from 600 Nm to 728 Nm at 4,200 revs. Accordingly the road performances of the 760i/Li are improved: The tuned luxury limousine only takes 5.0 seconds from 0 - 100 km/h. Maximum speed is 311 km/h. The 745i/Li models can be upgraded with the HAMANN HM 5.0 increased capacity engine delivering 412 hp / 303 kW at 6,100 rpm and 535 Nm of maximum torque at 3,900 revs. The tuned V8 luxury limousine accelerates in 5.8 seconds from 0 - 100 km/h. Maximum speed is 282 km/h.

HAMANN also offers stainless steel sport exhaust systems for all current BMW 7 Series models which are available with or without exhaust manifolds and metal bed catalysators. To realize these road performances it is necessary to fit special high performance tires. HAMANN furnishes the 7 Series BMW with HAMANN PG3 22-inch light alloy wheels. The multi-piece five-spoke rims with high-pokished outside well perfectly fill the wheel houses in sizes 22x9.5 front and 22x10.5 or even 22x11.5 on the rear axle. They chose the dimensions 265/30 ZR 22 in front and 295/25 ZR 22 rear as optimal tires. The HAMANN tuning program for the BMW 7 Series of the E 65 / E 66 / E 67 range also provides the HAMANN high performance brake system with vented and perforated 380 millimeter discs and 8-pot calipers on the front axle. To give the BMW a wedge-shaped lowering, HAMANN offers progressively coiled sport springs. With them the bodywork is lowered about 40 millimeters front and about 20 millimeters rear. The modern design of the 7 Series can be redefined using sporty yet elegantly styled HAMANN bodystyling components. The HAMANN front spoiler, which fixed on the standard bumper, doesn’t only give the car a more prominent face, it also minimizes the lift on the front axle at high speeds. The HAMANN side skirts and the HAMANN door panels make the limousine look lower and more stretched. The HAMANN rear panel with integrated diffuser harmonically rounds out the exciting design of the HAMANN body conversion in conjunction with the HAMANN sport mirrors. In addition, the 7 Series can be made even more individual with the HAMANN roof wing and the HAMANN rear spoiler To upgrade the interior HAMANN provides exclusive accessories such as an ergonomically designed airbag-sport-steering-wheel with walnut-wood grip zones, aluminum pedals and exclusive floor mats with HAMANN logo.

HEAVENSENT CINDYMARGOLIS

How did you get started in the business? When I couldn't get an agent I started my own greeting card company. It was in the early 90’s when those ˜cheesy" sexy cards were popular. I did a card where I was in a Santa's chair wearing lingerie and the inside said, "Sit on my lap and tell me what you want for Christmas!" Believe it or not that card launched my career! What's the sexiest thing about a man? Confidence...being a little cocky can be a good thing. Also make me laugh. If you can put a smile on my face (in more ways than one) I'm all yours! And a woman? Being a true friend to another woman Tell us about your most embarrassing moment. I was a Barker’s Beauty on "The Price Is Right." For one of the showcases I wore a towel wrapped around me while modeling in a Hot Tub. When I went to stand up my towel caught on something and ripped off my body. So there I stood completely naked in front of the studio audience! You should have seen Bob's face! What's your naughtiest secret? Come on, you can tell us? I don't know if it's a secret but it may come as a surprise! There have been times when I have gone out where men don't approach me. Which is fine with me as I find it very exciting to come up to men! I've been known to walk up to a guy and kiss him! What's the most uninhibited thing you've ever done? Going to a Nude Beach with my friends! As I'm sure most of you know, I don't do nudity. I think it's just as sexy to leave something to the imagination, but every now and then I get the urge to take it all off! What's the hottest, sexiest, craziest thing you've ever done? Have sex while driving to Palm Springs! What's your favorite body part on a man? Why? I don't know what it's called exactly, but it's the part below his belly button and above his groin area. If a guy's in good shape and wearing Levis that hang a little too low in front where you can see just a bit of the forbidden area that drives me crazy! And a woman? Her chest. I guess you could say I'm a "Breast " literally! What's the best thing about being a woman? EVERYTHING! In your opinion, what makes a man? Respect. Having respect for himself and respect for women. What's the sexiest thing in the world? Having True Love, there's nothing better! What's the most embarrassing fashion phase you went through? Some people might say now I've made the "Worst Dressed" list three times this year!

CINDYMARGOLIS

What's the strangest, most nonsexy thing that you find sexy about a man? Their feet! I could sit and watch a man clip his toenails and find it sexy! A woman? Shaving her legs What's the naughtiest thing in your closet? You should rephrase that and ask, what's in my Naughty Closet? As I have a whole closet devoted to Naughty things! That actually sounds hotter than it is, I modeled for Frederick's of Hollywood for years and they still give me anything I want for free! Do you think that innocence is overrated or underrated? Why? Underrated. We grow up way too fast these days. I would give anything to be younger and innocent again. If you could change one thing about men in general, what would it be? Men are very visual people. Therefore, most of the time, they're not thinking with their other head. And what would you never change? That there visual people! Ha! I made a very good living off of it! Thanks guys!

HOTELS IN REVIEW

THEHOTEL

(formerly The Tiffany Hotel)

Overview: Urban developer/preservationist Tony Goldman and daughter Jessica Goldman Srebnick, a former fashion industry executive, joined forces with innovative fashion designer Todd Oldham to create South Beach’s jewel, The Hotel, formerly The Tiffany Hotel. Its November 1998 opening marked the first time an American fashion designer created all of the interior aspects of a hotel. In 1999, The Hotel was named one of 31 top new hotels worldwide by Condé Nast Traveler magazine. More recently, The Hotel was a recipient of the prestigious AAA Four Diamond rating and its restaurant, Wish, which has harvested numerous national culinary awards, was honored with a 2001 and 2002 Mobil Four Star Award. Originally built in 1939, by master architect L. Murray Dixon, today the hotel encompasses 52 deluxe rooms and suites, as well as a rooftop pool with panoramic ocean views. The Hotel is one of the newest members of the Historic Hotels of America, a division of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. C.O.O. Jessica Goldman Srebnick oversees day-to-day operations for The Hotel and the near-by Park Central Hotel, Goldman Properties’ oceanside gem. Location: Just one block from the Atlantic Ocean, The Hotel is nestled on the corner of 8th Street & Collins Avenue in the heart of South Beach’s bustling fashion district. It’s just steps away from the area’s most popular cafes, nightclubs and retail shops. Developer: Goldman Properties has been restoring historic buildings in architecturally significant locations in New York and Florida since 1968. Headed by Tony Goldman, the company was responsible for renovating New York City’s Soho district in the 1970s, Florida’s Art Deco district in the 1980s, and New York City’s newest historic district, the Village of Wall Street, in the 1990s. The company recently embarked on the redevelopment of a new historic city project in Philadelphia, Pa., and opened its newest restaurant, Trust. Management: Jessica Goldman Srebnick, Chief Operating Officer & Director of Hotels

Daniele Lomoriello, General Manager Leanne Ballard, Director of Sales & Marketing Katie Rhodes, Marketing & Media Manager E. Michael Reidt, Executive Chef Design & Decor: Consistent with Todd Oldham’s love of handmade details and lush color sense, the décor at The Hotel is a cozy mix of rich, cool colors and artisan detailing. From the hand airbrushed tiles to the mosaic door pulls, almost everything was custom designed and handmade exclusively for the property. The lobby features a massive hand cut mosaic mirror surrounded by dyed velveteen sofas inspired by the remarkable original terrazzo floors. The hallways glow softly, illuminated by back lit opalescent "jewels" which display each room number. The emerald-shaped pool floats serenely on the roof and is surrounded by crush dyed cabana curtains that mirror the shades of the sky. Every fabric, woven throw pillow, textured rug and mixed wood furnishing is in keeping with Oldham’s casual elegance and signature style. Accommodations & Amenities: This four-story boutique hotel features 48 deluxe rooms and 4 spacious suites where comfort is key. All accommodations feature products by Kiehl’s, remote cable television with movie channels, VCR, video library, CD/cassette/stereo system, mini bar, wireless Internet, a two-line telephone with dataport and voice mail technology. TIME TO GRUB

RESTAURANT IN REVIEW

WISH

LOCATION: SOUTH BEACH, FL.

CHEF E. MICHAEL REIDT: DISHING UP INNOVATIVE FRENCH-BRAZILIAN FLAVORS AT WISH

cheese mash and grilled asparagus accented by smoked paprika. Braised lamb shank is served with celery root, a lentil salad, pearl onions and orange confit.

Since it opened in November 1998, Wish, the Mobil Four Star restaurant at The Hotel on South Beach, has garnered numerous awards for its imaginative cuisine, as well as for its highly acclaimed interiors by fashion guru Todd Oldham. Executive chef E. Michael Reidt, who joined the staff a year ago, continues to attract notice, bringing the restaurant to the next level with his wildly original contemporary French-Brazilian cuisine. Sensual and sophisticated, Reidt’s menu pairs unlikely flavors in novel, intriguing ways.

Desserts priced at $8 each, except seasonal berries, include a melting chocolate cake, its soft chocolate center a perfect foil for the accompanying coconut sorbet. More Brazilian in flavor, the pudim de coco encompasses caramel-balsamic laced ice cream with chocolate truffles and almond caramel sauce. For something light yet irresistible, Wish offers key lime watermelon soup with a blood orange sorbet and poached strawberries or a moist Florida citrus cake, with tart grapefruit sorbet, fresh basil and a Grand Marnier sauce. There’s also a delightful version of dulce de leche carina, a caramel mousse perched in a delicate crushed Oreo crust.

Executive chef of Bomboa in Boston, from its opening in 1999 until taking the helm at Wish, Reidt was cited in Food & Wine magazine’s prestigious list of America’s Ten Best New Chefs of 2001. Reidt continues to explore new terrain at Wish, garnering rave reviews for his innovative cuisine. Forging his own signature style, Reidt combines the savory, salty and sweet flavors of Brazil with classic French cooking technique and Moorish accents. The result is a menu that is as fresh as the ocean breeze that wafts over diners seated in the restaurant’s magical outdoor garden. Appetizers range from $9 - $18, and include confit tomato soup, a deeply flavored soup, accented with frisee, avocado, macadamia nuts, and a dollop of coconut sorbet. A pastel colored smoked salmon and artichoke terrine, served over shiitake mushrooms, with grilled asparagus, and pineapple-wasabi accents, tastes as good as it looks. An oversized truffled sweet pea ravioli is perfectly complemented with briny smoked bacon, wild mushrooms, goat cheese and a slightly sweet carrot jus. Entrées, running from $25 - $34, include fresh seafood, lamb, beef and poultry along with a vegetarian selection. A cachaca marinated tuna, seared rare, is served over a jicama quinoa salad and spicy charred watermelon, dressed with an avocado Hollandaise. Lentil crusted salmon is served with roasted chorizo, sweet potato and Littleneck clams. Braised short ribs churrasco is melt in your mouth tender, served with malanga ravioli, heirloom apples and shaved fennel, with a cider accented sauce. The crispy skin chicken has a Moorish flourish, with Parma ham, a Tetilla

The wine list has recently been revised and updated. Recently featured in In Style magazine and on the Today Show, the bar is well known for its electronic cocktails, delicious mixed drinks served with brightly colored neon ice cubes, which bring see-and-beseen to a new level. A hotspot since its inception, Wish attracts celebrities such as Mick Jagger, Jon Bon Jovi, Claudia Schiffer, Susan Sarandon, Cameron Diaz, Will Smith and Jade Pinkett Smith, Rupert Everett, Kristin Scott Thomas, Madonna and Oliver Stone. Wish’s Persian-inspired interior décor is exotic and cozy with plush, velvety banquettes and dimly lit, jewel-toned Venetian glass lamps lining the Art Deco detailed ceiling. The al fresco garden restaurant is romantic with lush tropical greenery, soft ocean breezes, and the glow of candlelight amidst Oldham’s signature tie-dyed cushions and enormous white mushroom umbrellas. A lush, new indoor dining garden, located in The Hotel’s lobby, is the perfect spot for intimate dinners or private parties. Wish is located one block west of the ocean at The Hotel, 801 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. Dinner is served Tuesday – Sunday. Breakfast and lunch served daily. Outdoor garden and indoor seating are available. All major credit cards accepted. Valet available. A municipal parking lot is located one block east. AMG, Alpina and Ruff are recognized as the best in design, prestige and performance. Turn key vehicles that set the standard for which others are measured. The same elements that are incorporated in today’s high performance vehicles have parallel lines in the home theater world. Enter Bliss Custom Home Theaters. Nestled in the small town of Westlake Village, Ca. is one of the countries top Audio/Video, automation, design and installation companies. Founded in 1996 by Robert Bliss, Jr. and soon partnered by his brother George Bliss, the company has earned a reputation that is seldom matched. Bliss’ business model is very different than the typical home theater integrator. The standard scenario for a homeowner is to choreograph the interior designer, general contractor, electrician, millwork, painter, custom furniture, and the audio/video installer to fulfill their home theater. Usually many hurdles accompany. Finger pointing, double work, cost overruns and improper implementation sour the whole experience not to mention a poor performing theater. Bliss’ approach is a ‘turnkey’ theater. "Our clients meet with us personally to discuss their needs and ideas," states Robert Bliss. The only conversation the client has is with either of the two principals or the manager/supervisor Tasha Bliss. From that point every facet of the job is handled in house. I asked Cindy how does a busy model and TV host find time to interview and come up with the creative ideas for her home theater? "Bliss" she stated. Alluding to Robert and George. "They are the best!" "I first met Cindy and her husband Guy at their residence, they were an absolute pleasure but they had not one idea on how they wanted their room to look." states Bliss. The only request was a couch similar to Mariah Carey’s that was featured in Architectural Digest. Big and comfy! Bliss’ next step was to model the room. George Bliss creates a computer rendering. The custom 16 and a _ foot wide by 6 foot deep couch plus two 3 foot by 5 foot chaises and 4 foot by 4 foot ottoman began construction along with the domed

ceiling for the sky mural. The proscenium and niche for the projector were handled on site. As mentioned, Bliss handles every detail. Robert Bliss designs the room. Master craftsman Ed Davis from Another Masterpiece, handles the millwork and construction. Alex Delaguarigue builds the custom couches and wall upholstery; ESC Drapery manufactures the curtains and roman shades. Steve Bauer applies his brush to create the faux finish and stone; and from the world famous Caesars Forum in Las Vegas artist William Rogers airbrushed the sun setting sky. Technicians Guy Levandofsky, Adam Dunlop, Rory Roach and Jupp Libby installed all of the electronics and the final step is George Bliss programming the Crestron control system. Anyone can operate this high-end system by a simple touch on the Crestron touch screen. Everything is automated, lights, curtains, audio and video. "This is our favorite room in the house. We spend hours in it everyday. Sometimes we come in the room just to relax and read" states Cindy. Bliss also did their family room, master bedroom, gym and backyard. "I highly recommend using professionals like Bliss to design and install your dream room. It was a pleasure from beginning to end". From lighting, HVAC, security, distributed audio and video, to Turnkey high performance theaters across the world, Bliss Custom Home Theaters and Automation are at the top of the list. (Dynamic Simulation Optimized Contact) computer technology, resulting in a unique tread pattern that provides the proper water drainage from the contact patch of the tire. Another benefit of Toyos advanced computer technology is a five-variable pitch design, which reduces tread noise caused by harmonics generated between the road surface and the tire. According to Thomas Okihisa, Senior Marketing Manager, Performance Tires, Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corporation, “The Proxes 4 represents Toyos latest advanced engineering technology, and is available in a wide range of sizes in “V” and “W” speed ratings. It is the best consideration for consumers demanding both performance and style, creating its own niche in ultra high performance tires.” For more information on the exciting, new PROXES 4 from Toyo Tires® log onto toyo.com, or visit their enthusiast site at teamtoyo.com. Toyo manufactures and distributes a complete line of high performance and original equipment replacement tires for passenger car, light truck, commercial truck, bus, off-road and construction applications.

Jaguar R-D6 Observers will point to ‘classic’ Jaguar design cues – such as the grille – on R-D6, but it is important to realize that such features are there not because they commemorate Jaguar’s past, but because they are intrinsically ‘right’ for a thoroughly modern Jaguar. R-D6 also takes advantage of Jaguar’s lightweight structure strategy, as pioneered in the new XJ saloon. Using aluminum and composite materials for the chassis and body, R-D6 weighs just 1500kg. This allows it to capitalize on the power – and, more importantly, the torque – delivered by its V6 engine. And it’s the engine that will surprise many people – although, when you think about it, a high-performance 2.7-litre diesel engine makes perfect sense. Confirming Jaguar as a potent new force in the world of large-capacity diesel, the bi-turbo V6 is a tuned version of the engine that will make its debut in the STYPE in 2004. With horsepower in excess of 230bhp and a massive 500Nm of torque, the V6 diesel engine endows R-D6 with the pace to satisfy its looks and R-Performance rating. Acceleration from standstill to the benchmark 60mph takes less than six seconds. Top speed is an electronically limited 155mph. Distinctive, confident and original, R-D6 has a beautiful, pure style that triggers a simple desire: I want one. Its distinctive blend of attributes inherent in the Jaguar psyche – emotional engineering, stimulating performance, intelligent technology and downright sexy design – makes R-D6 instantly recognizable as a true Jaguar. But the

styling of the car – its lines and shapes, its sheer presence – heralds a design direction that makes no apologies to past, present or future. At 4,330mm long, R-D6 is 342mm shorter than Jaguar’s smallest car, the X-TYPE saloon – and 760mm shorter than an XK8 coupé. The compact length of R-D6 is aided by short overhangs front and rear (800mm and 695mm respectively) and is achieved with a wheelbase of 2,840mm. To appreciate fully the interior of R-D6 takes a while, partly because you spend as much time touching as you do looking. The materials in the cabin are a blend of classic with a contemporary twist and modern bordering on the futuristic. And as you would expect from Jaguar, there are a couple of refreshingly idiosyncratic touches... Aluminum features extensively in both milled and formed guise. Two types of leather – lightly grained, carbon-black aniline and 8mm thick black saddle leather – are used throughout the interior. Satinfinish Black American Walnut veneer complements the Piano Black gloss veneer that was introduced on the new XJ. Probably the best way to visualize the interior of R-D6 is to imagine yourself sitting in the luxurious, molded composite driver’s seat, your back supported by a ‘spine’ of tensioned leather that weaves through the structure of the seat and then loops forward at the top to provide an integral head restraint. The seat is constructed with internal ducts to allow heating or cooling according to driver preference.

ABTTT new rides ISSUE

The Abt TT-limited not only fascinated fans of the Abt Sportsline team but also developed into a best-seller in the Bavarian enterprise´s range. For the new special edition from Kempten, Abt Sportsline chose a vivid red colour, plenty of power under the hood and an optics package with a totally new highlight: The TTlimited II is fitted with the new Abt sports rim SP1 which makes its world premiere in these days. Under the bonnet, there’s a true athlete’s heart at work: The 1.8-litre turbocharged engine did not only receive a power boost of 40 hp compared to the 225 hp standard engine, it produces much more torque, too, with an increase from 280 Nm to 360 Nm. The resemblance to its big brother from the DTM is unmistakable. With a front skirt and the famous Abt logo on the grille sees the sporting origins of the TT-limited II immediately. Standing out even more is the company-branding at the rear: The Abt rear wing, which originated from the winning DTM car - the Abt-Audi TT-R generates optimal downforce. Under the wing, the rear skirt, including the carbon diffuser and four-pipe rear muffler, is reminiscent of the pure power from motorsport.

The quattro drive and the height adjustable suspension, personally tuned by Christian Abt in a rigid sports set-up, provide an optimal transmission of the 265 hp. The sports braking system with the red callipers reacts in fractions of seconds when it counts. The widened track and complete wheel packages, featuring the new Abt sport rim SP1 measuring 8.5 x 19 inches, provide optimal road holding. The new highlight in Abt Sportsline´s range of wheels stands out markedly from other models with a flat, inwardly sloping rim base and sets its own accent. The thoroughbred line of the TT-limited II continues on the inside as well. Those who climb into the cockpit of the new sportscar over the red running boards featuring a TT-limited II logo and slide into the red leather sports seat will quickly recognize the Bavarian stylists´ love of detail. Aluminum shift knob with shifting gate ring, foot mats with the embroided Abt logo, the sporty one-blade wiper, and the red leather sports steering wheel round off the perfect look of this super sportscar.

The BRABUS Power Pack for the Mercedes S 600: The BRABUS SV 12 Engine with 640 hp / 471 kW and 1,026 Nm With its 500 hp / 368 kW 12-cylinder engine and two turbochargers the new Mercedes S 600 redefined the performance standards for luxury automobiles. BRABUS raises the bar even more: With its 640 hp / 471 kW and gigantic maximum torque of 1,026 Nm the BRABUS SV 12 Biturbo increased-displacement engine catapults the S 600 in just 4.3 seconds to 100 km/h. The electronically limited top speed of 320 km/h make the tuned S 600 one of the world's fastest sedans. Performance on a level of a purebred sports car in combination with the unique comfort of the Mercedes S-Class: The new BRABUS SV 12 Biturbo increased-displacement engine, which is also available for the CL 600 Coupe and the SL 600 Roadster, combines these two previously almost entirely mutually exclusive characteristics to perfection. The leap from standard 500 hp / 368 kW from 5.5-liter displacement to 640 hp / 471 kW from 6.3 liters is the result of a complete redesign of the V12 with two turbochargers. The displacement increase is facilitated with a custom one-piece crankshaft, precision-balanced piston rods, and pistons with larger diameter. Custom camshafts with altered timing, a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with high-flow metal catalysts and new mapping for the engine electronics complete the BRABUS engine conversion. Without sacrificing smoothness the luxury sedan turns into a serious challenger for the world's fastest sports cars: 0 – 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, 200 km/h after just 13.5 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 320 km/h make the sedan with BRABUS SV 12 Biturbo increased-displacement engine a truly unique driving experience.

To keep the enormous performance safely in check at all times the new S 600 can be equipped with the BRABUS high-performance brake system, which was developed specifically for the big Mercedes models. The system comprises 375 x 36 mm vented and cross-drilled discs with 12-piston fixed calipers on the front axle, and four-piston fixed calipers on 355 x 28 mm disks in the rear. Absolutely essential for the safe attainment of this kind of performance are attractive BRABUS Monoblock VI light-alloy wheels. The multi-piece BRABUS Monoblock VI double-spoke wheels in size 9.5Jx20 front and back are fitted with Michelin or Pirelli highperformance tires in sizes 245/35 ZR 20 in front and 275/30 ZR 20 on the rear axle. Specifically calibrated to match this tire/wheel combination is the BRABUS suspension module for the ABC suspension. With it the S 600's ride becomes somewhat sportier but still comfortable while the ride height is lowered by some 20 millimeters. To add sporty highlights to the elegant lines of the facelift generation of the Mercedes S-Class the BRABUS designers developed a new aerodynamic-enhancement kit. The BRABUS front bumper with integrated spoiler features four auxiliary headlights and gives the luxury sedan an even more striking appearance while at the same time reducing lift on the front axle. Like its counterpart in the front the BRABUS rear apron simply replaces the production bumper entirely. BRABUS side sills with integrated entrance lights are a custom BRABUS development. Pushing a button on the keyless-entry remote or pulling on the inside door handles activates five LED lights on the underside of the sills. These lights illuminate the ground next to the vehicle, making entering and exiting the vehicle safe in the dark. Luxurious and highly individualized interiors are a BRABUS specialty. The range of exclu-

sive accessories includes sill plates with illuminated BRABUS logo, ergonomically shaped safety steering wheels with airbag, electrically deployed business tables and an exclusive BRABUS interior made from a combination of especially soft yet highly durable BRABUS Mastik and Alcantara leathers. The Mercedes S-Class can further be refined with an exclusive and technologically advanced BRABUS multimedia package. At the heart of the system is an especially flat IBM X series notebook computer, located safely in an electrically deployed drawer below the rear parcel shelf. A custom console stylishly integrated into the rear compartment houses a color printer. BRABUS also creates a second PC workplace in the rear compartment. A laptop computer is integrated into an electrically deployed table. All IT components share a wireless connection via a W-LAN network. At its center is a W-LAN router with four integrated GPRS modules, which synchronize to access the Internet with up to three times ISDN speed. The innovative, especially user-friendly rearseat entertainment system consists of a DVD player, TV tuner and interfaces for external peripherals such as digital camera or a game console. All components are controlled with seat modules integrated for each rear seat. The entire system can be monitored on 7-inch LCD monitors in 16:9 format, integrated into the headrests. The on-screen menu is easy and self-explanatory. A 15.2-inch TFT display with 16:9 format, integrated into the roofliner made from the finest leather, folds down at the push of a button and serves as monitor for the computer, TV tuner or the DVD changer. The sound is carried by Sennheiser Noise Gard headphones, which filter any unwanted sounds, providing undistracted listening.

BRABUS CLK K8 Uncompromising Superlative Sport Coupe BRABUS CLK K8: This badge stands for a superlative uncompromising sport coupe based on the current Mercedes CLK. Powered by the new 550 hp / 405 kW BRABUS K8 eight-cylinder engine with supercharger and equipped with numerous special technical and stylistic features the two-door reaches a top speed of 325 km/h, pacing it squarely among the fastest street-legal cars in the world. At the heart of the CLK K8 is the supercharged BRABUS eight-cylinder engine with 5.5 liters displacement. Extensive handwork was necessary to implant the compact engine together with a generous intercooler and special heat exchangers for water, motor oil, transmission fluid and air conditioning in the engine bay of the coupe. BRABUS also developed a dual-flow stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with metal catalysts and four chrome-plated exhaust tips. Power yield of the supercharged engine – as the five-speed automatic gearbox and the BRABUS rear locking differential operated exclusively with ARAL high-tech lubricants – is exceptional: The V8 delivers 550 hp / 405 kW at 6,400 rpm. Even more impressive is the peak torque of 780 Nm at just 3,000 rpm.

Performance of the BRABUS CLK K8 tells its own tale: 0 - 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, 12.6 seconds to 200 km/h and a top speed of 325 km/h are figures attained by only a select few street-legal cars. The performance potential of the exclusive BRABUS coupe necessitates extensive modifications to the suspension system. Excellent brakes are just as important as a powerful engine. BRABUS equips the coupe with a newly developed high-performance brake system. The front axle features 6-piston aluminum fixed calipers with 375 x 36millimeter vented and cross-drilled discs. On the rear axle the system comes with 360 x 28-millimeter discs and six-piston aluminum fixed calipers. The new brakes harmonize perfectly with the standard driving dynamics systems such as ABS, AST and ESP. To make room for the large brakes and to be able to run tires capable of handling the top speed of the BRABUS CLK V8 the two-door is fitted with multi-piece BRABUS Monoblock VI lightalloy wheels in size 8.5Jx19 on the front axle and 10Jx19 in back. These attractive titanium-look wheels with six double spokes are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup high-performance tires in sizes 235/35 ZR 19 in front 265/30 ZR 19 on the rear axle. The custom BRABUS threaded suspension was calibrated specifically to the 19-inch tires and offers ride height adjustment as well as shocks with 9-stage adjustable bound and rebound. This allows lowering the ride height by up to 45 millimeters and selection

of individual suspension settings. In addition BRABUS sport sway bars reduce body roll to a minimum. The appearance of the BRABUS CLK K8 is characterized by aerodynamic functionality. The custom-developed front apron features generous air ducts for radiator and front brakes. In addition the BRABUS front spoiler has air outlets on both sides in front of the wheelhouses to better vent the hot air from the radiators. An additional carbon spoiler lip also contributes to a maximum reduction of lift on the front axle. For optimal venting of the engine bay the BRABUS CLK K8 has a custom hood with integrated air vents. The BRABUS rear apron features custom-tailored cutouts for the four exhaust tips of the BRABUS sport exhaust system. The interior of the BRABUS CLK K8 offers an excellent symbiosis of sporty functionality and exclusive ambiance. The sport seats are upholstered with a combination of BRABUS Mastik leather and Alcantara, and offer excellent lateral support in fast turns. Carbon applications in the cockpit and on the foot pedals, as well as an aluminum shift knob add sporty highlights. The ergonomically shaped BRABUS sport steering wheel with integrated steeringwheel shifter with airbag offer optimal grip and is yet large enough not to block the driver's view of the BRABUS instruments with a speedometer with its 360 km/h-scale. rpm magazine •
