The Gatherings Series, the sculpture-like 3-dimensional figures are the embodiment of 3 decades of work. Each painting literally and figuratively jumps off the canvas and dances in a synergistic halo of light, depth, color and action. While each work conveys a different emotional experience, they share a feeling of joy and wonderment. For me, life IS a series of Gatherings, that all add up to a life that is lived.

The Unbridled Series is the recognition of the Animal Spirit. This is best exemplified in the beauty and grandeur of the Horse. The power and freedom expressed by this most magnificent of creatures gives way to an emotional attachment that once experienced takes hold for a lifetime. “Unbridled” is at its essence, a “tour de force” of emotion, passion and free reign. It is an invitation for all to connect.

The Harmony Series celebrates the journey of our life force. It is a move inwards and reminds us where the seeds of life are ultimately sewn, in the soul. Each painting captures the energy and inner calm of the individual and invites all to travel roads that are known only to them.

As president of the local autism awareness and support organization, REACH, he has engaged everyone from the Prime Minister to the person on the street, lifting the veil of a condition that affects as many as one in every 15 families and making it possible for children with autism to attend summer camp and learn in classrooms equipped specially for them. “Buyers who may be experts at choosing a fine wine or who drive a rare car or can recognize talent in an emerging artist may not have the same self-confidence when it comes to identifying the right property in a foreign country,” said Carey. “I have spent 30 years studying market trends, understanding what is likely to succeed and survive in this particular market.
