PATEK PHILIPPE

STRIKING GOLD

Appreciated by watch connoisseurs since its introduction in 1968, the iconic Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse wristwatch has been reinvented for the modern consumer. This gorgeous timepiece now features an exclusive chainstyle 18K rose gold, hand-polished bracelet whose modern patented construction unites comfort with elegance.

Harken back to the manufacturer’s classic chain bracelet, this version comprises 363 parts, including more than 300 links that have been assembled manually one by one. As a result, the bracelet’s length can be adjusted easily to make it shorter or longer, depending on the preference of the owner.

This new timepiece features a case and a bracelet in rose gold framing an ebony black sunburst dial. The dial includes slender, baton-styled hour markers and hands, also in rose gold, which stand out clearly. A black onyx cabochon set into the crown completes the visual harmony of the design.

Housed within the Ref. 5738/1R-001 is the self-winding caliber 240, an ultra-thin movement with an off-center mini rotor in 22K gold, allowing for a case with an extremely low profile. This makes the Golden Ellipse Ref. 5738 the slimmest watch in the Patek Philippe regular collection.

What more could anyone ask for?

SERPENTI PALLINI TIMEPIECES

Bvlgari has transformed the iconic Serpenti Pallini, its most popular style and a creature capable of perpetual rebirth for over 75 years, into three new irresistible timepieces: a jeweled diamond-set model in white gold; one in white gold and rose gold; and one in white gold and yellow gold, which marks the first contemporary interpretation of Serpenti Pallini in yellow gold. In these extraordinary timepieces, the double-coiled Serpenti Pallini wraps around the wrist with a gentle embrace. Its daring design evokes the skin of an exotic serpent and its scales are composed of countless small gold beads or brilliant-cut diamonds, each individually set on a gold mesh, using a technique derived from the “entremblant” method developed in 18th-century Paris. Furthermore, the Serpenti Pallini gazes with its magnetic allure from two sumptuous pear-cut emeralds, watching time pass and inspiring the audacity to be oneself.

A fabulous fusion of high jewelry and high watchmaking, these watches now feature the miniature Piccolissimo calibre.

A marvel of miniaturization created by Bvlgari’s manufacturer in Le Sentier, Switzerland, this calibre is one of the world’s smallest ever. Moreover, the caliber is easily removable and can also be rotated by half a turn to adapt the dial’s reading direction. The precious mother-of-pearl or pavé-set diamond dial is surrounded with a diamond-set bezel

Indeed, the Piccolissimo’s extraordinary mechanics only enhance the charms of Serpenti Pallini, creating multiple ways to wear it.

TUDOR

THE MIDAS TOUCH

Always at the forefront of creativity and innovation, Tudor is introducing a bold version of its popular model, the Black Bay 58. The Black Bay 58 18K features a satin-finished 18K solid yellow gold bracelet, complete with a three link T-Fit clasp for easy adjustment, as well as Tudor’s patented ceramic ball bearing clasping system.

Another outstanding feature of this timepiece is a satin-finished 18K solid yellow gold open case back, which reveals the new Manufacture Calibre MT5400. It displays hour, minute and second functions, and its rotor in tungsten monobloc is openworked and satin-brushed with sand-blasted details.

The build of the Manufacture Calibre MT5400 is designed to ensure robustness and precision. To do this, the variable inertia balance wheel is maintained by a sturdy traversing bridge with two-point anchoring. It is certified as a chronometer by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), with its performance going beyond the standards set by this independent institute.

The watch’s allure is also emphasized by the combination of the dial and the bezel, which are a rich “golden green” in tone with matte gold details. The “Snowflake” hands are also in 18K yellow gold, as are the applied hour markers.

Midway between the legacies of a robust tool-watch that still defines Tudor and a precious object, the Black Bay 58 18K remains as rare as it is exclusive.

VHERNIER CIAO, ARDIS

In the mid-1980s, some of the world’s most gifted Italian artisans began crafting what would soon become a leading brand of heralded Italian jewelry: Vhernier. The brainchild of a renowned Italian sculptor (and created in the idyllic town of Valenza, where much of the world’s fine gold jewelry is sourced). Vhernier crafts pieces imbued with Milanese elegance, drawing inspiration from modern sculpture, and the curves of the human body — which Vhernier believes is the ultimate work of art.

More than 40 years later, every bracelet, ring, necklace and earring is still meticulously handcrafted by expert artisans in those workshops in Valenza. Buying a piece today is akin to owning a rare work of art, one designed to simply augment the beauty of its surroundings and yet still manage to stand out all on its own. Different from most jewelry designers, Vhernier prioritizes design over stones. Each piece of jewelry is made ergonomically, focusing on how its shape feels to the wearer, and any gemstones are just the cherry on top.

In 2024, this young, but iconic Italian maison added a new chapter to its story: the launch of its bold, feminine Ardis collection. Marked by sculptural shapes and clean lines, what makes Ardis truly dynamic is the material its pieces are made from. For the first time in Vhernier history, the collection uses a base material of a lightweight, matte, soft and almost pearlescent aluminum that’s then paired with rose or white gold. Of course, the stream of perfect diamonds is just a luxury — because at Vhernier, luxury is the only option.

CRUSHING IT

Chanel’s COCO CRUSH collection embodies an everlasting encounter for Gabrielle Chanel, every encounter a game where luck and destiny intersected. Represented by clean and even incisions that crisscross the curved surface of each COCO CRUSH piece, these creations combine strength and delicacy with simplicity and density.

COCO CRUSH highlights the iconic quilted motif, in yellow, white, or BEIGE gold varieties with or without diamonds. New mini bracelets feature the COCO TWIST clasp, an innovative, rotating, invisible system completed with a simple turn.

18K BEIGE GOLD is the signature gold for CHANEL. Not just a color, but a creation inspired by the vision of Gabrielle Chanel, for whom beige was a refuge: “I go back to beige because it’s natural. Not dyed.”* First introduced in 2015, this unique alloy is exclusive to CHANEL and is now a major part of the brand legacy. Designed to make each piece indispensable, 18K BEIGE GOLD is a hallmark of CHANEL watches and fine jewelry creations.

HISTORY IN THE MAKING

Since 1948, David Webb has been the quintessential American creator of highly original modernist jewelry, attracting the attention of such great American women as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Elizabeth Taylor. From Manhattan to Malibu, admirers of Webb’s work proudly sport the company’s distinctive carved and enameled animal bracelets, hand-hammered gold pieces, colorful sautoirs, Maltese cross brooches and exquisite rock crystal jewelry.

Indeed, more than two dozen long-tenured master jewelers create each piece in the David Webb workshop, making it the only fine jewelry house exclusively made in America. The workshop provides the House with unparalleled access to its jewelry even as it is being created.

Often bold, grand, declarative, and always crafted for the daring, each piece empowers the wearer to embrace their unique style. Collectors often share that wearing David Webb jewelry ignites a transformative experience, unveiling the wearer’s inner strength and fearlessness.

In fact, the House’s archives are the epicenter of David Webb, rich with brand DNA and heritage. The design vernacular of the House emerges from the drawings, the sketches, the renderings, the historic editorial features, and other ephemera of the archive.

Finally, what also makes David Webb jewelry so exceptional is its versatile nature. Whether for everyday refinement or evening occasions, these pieces effortlessly elevate any look. Casual-chic outfits pair well with the larger necklaces, while earrings add a colorful splash to any wardrobe.

What could be more American?

The harmony of contrasts

With its latest creations, Rolex brings a fresh new look to some of its most iconic models. Thanks to the brand’s in-house mastery of watchmaking expertise, the new timepieces play with contrasts to achieve a harmonious balance of functionality and aesthetics, performance and preciousness, tradition and innovation.

Offering unique harmonies of materials, colours and textures, the 2024 watches illustrate a desire to constantly reawaken watchmaking emotions, while demonstrating uncompromising quality down to the smallest detail.

PERPETUAL GMT-MASTER II

Echoing emotions

For the first time, the Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II in Oystersteel is presented with the Cerachrom bezel insert in grey and black ceramic introduced to the range in 2023. Its green 24-hour hand displays much more than just an alternative time zone. It points to another location that resonates with the wearer – a reminder of the emotions that accompany each traveller.

PERPETUAL 1908 Elegance in movement

The Perpetual 1908 is now available in 950 platinum with an ice blue dial, a hue that is exclusively for Rolex watches in this prestigious metal. On this guilloché dial with a rice-grain motif, light bounces off the raised pattern, producing a variety of reflections with every movement of the wrist. A watch of rare distinction, the new 1908 is a visual masterpiece that affirms its unique identity with elegance and finesse.

OYSTER PERPETUAL DAY-DATE

Harmonious variations

Dials that are ombré, coloured blue-green, or in pearlized white mother-of-pearl. Faceted, deconstructed Roman numerals and faceted hour markers. A bezel set with trapeze-cut diamonds. The new versions of the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date express the brand’s enduring desire for rare and wide-ranging expertise to be found in even the smallest details. Colours, materials, motifs, hour markers – each element contributes to the harmony of the new combinations.

OYSTER PERPETUAL COSMOGRAPH DAYTONa

An icon eternally revisited

Rolex presents two new versions of the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona whose dials contrast white and black natural mother-of-pearl and a bezel set with brilliant-cut diamonds. These reinterpretations of the iconic watch achieve the perfect balance of precision and preciousness. The watches, made from 18 ct white gold, write another chapter in the legendary story of a model known for a wealth of variations, summoning the potential in each of us for perpetual reinvention.

OYSTER PERPETUAL ROLEX DEEPSEA

Bringing light to the deep

The first Rolex deep-sea divers’ watch in 18 ct yellow gold, the new Oyster Perpetual Rolex Deepsea is decked in blue on its dial, its bezel insert and its compression ring – part of the Ringlock system. Made from blue ceramic – a technical innovation that is the result of a pioneering manufacturing process –, this Cerachrom ring is decorated with a circular satin finish. Precious and technical. Majestic and innovative. A bright watch for the dark abyss. This new version of the Rolex Deepsea is engineered to shine into the ocean depths.

OYSTER PERPETUAL SKY-DWELLER

The symphony of reflections

Sophisticated, technical and distinguished, the Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller in 18 ct Everose or yellow gold is now available with a Jubilee bracelet. By alternating the size and finish of the links, the Jubilee bracelet in 18 ct gold stands out for its wealth of reflections and harmonious forms. Designed to enable tireless travellers to rapidly find their bearings, the Sky-Dweller reaffirms its elegance and is a delight to the senses.

OYSTER

PANERAI

A SHINING LIGHT

Panerai’s new Luminor Dieci Giorni GMT PAM01482 embodies the manufacturer’s rich heritage and know-how, emphasizing complex functions in an iconic design. For example, the timepiece encases the P.2003, which is the first automatic caliber developed by Panerai within its manufacturer in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. With a distinctive long power reserve of 10 days, displayed on the dial by a linear indicator, the P.2003 caliber is made up of 296 components with 25 jewels.

The P.2003 calibre also has the seconds reset device. This feature resets the seconds hand to zero, enabling the watch to be synchronized with a reference time signal. Complementing the 10 day power reserve is the GMT function that allows for the tracking of dual time zones.

The PAM01482, set in a 44 mm cushion-shaped case in polished steel, comes with a blue sun-brushed sandwich dial with white Super Lumi Nova®. It also includes an open sapphire crystal and a steel case back, paired with Luminor’s distinctive crown-protecting device. The open case back of the new timepiece allows for a clear view of the intricate movement, highlighting the technical proficiency and aesthetic of the watch.

Finally, the PAM01482 is paired with a dark blue alligator strap with a second rubber strap in the same color and is water-resistant up to 10 bars. In every possible way, the new Luminor Dieci Giorni GMT offers a fresh perspective on the distinct aspects of the Maison’s timeless legacy.

BUBEN & ZORWEG

REACHING THE STARS

Since its establishment in 1995, BUBEN & ZORWEG has been dedicated to creating unique masterpieces in collaboration with its clients. Over the years, numerous pioneering achievements have positioned B&Z as the global standard in luxury safes and high-end watch winders. The captivating combination of German engineering, fine craftsmanship, and extraordinary design consistently enchants connoisseurs of the exceptional.

Among the diverse collections developed over the decades to cater to different tastes and preferences is the Orion collection. Launched in 2013, the collection owes its continued success to its design details.

For example, each safe door is adorned with timeless quilted leather squares, meticulously hand-stitched by skilled craftspeople.

The visual impact of this safe is enhanced by two parallel lines and a bolder vertical line, while each corner features a distinctive curved section covered in fine leather, creating a unique sculptural contour. To accentuate the contrast between textures, the Orion’s frame is made of stainless steel, which has been sanded 10 times and hand-polished to perfection.

Featuring eight mother-of-pearl inlays set by hand, an engraved stainless-steel ring, and the extraordinary Clous de Paris decor, Orion not only reaches for the stars, it goes beyond.

CARTIER

PERFECT TIMING

When Louis Cartier introduced the Tank Américaine watch in 1917, he did more than add a new timepiece to the market; he set the standard for modern watchmaking. During a time when pocket watches were the norm, Cartier invented a sleek, modern wristwatch for both men and women. From the Tank Louis Cartier and Tank Must de Cartier to the Tank Américaine, his invention has been a universal symbol of style and elegance for over a century.

It takes a powerhouse like Cartier to create an accessory that spans both time and trends. Modeled after a bird’s-eye view of an actual war tank, the Tank watch is somewhere between a rectangle and a square, with a case inspired by strong geometry and brancards that solidify the silhouette. Insignia from the early days of Cartier can still be seen on models of the Tank today, like hours in Roman numerals, a chemin de fer chapter ring and a winding sapphire crown.

Comparing different Tank models is like ticking your way through history. In 1922, Louis Cartier established the collection’s powerful style with taut lines, soft corners and horns in the case. Today, a new rose or white gold edition with diamond-set brancards and another in fine, rose gold make precious additions to the collection.

In 1977, the Tank Must de Cartier updated the Louis Cartier with solid-colored dials, no numbers and understated tones that offset precious materials like onyx, coral, ivory, lapis lazuli, tortoiseshell and garnet. In 1989, the Tank Américaine introduced a compact, elongated face that mixed sharp and soft edges, straight lines, curves, rounded corners and angles. It was the first Cartier timepiece with a curved, water-resistant case and a new folding buckle — the latter of the two replaced a mechanism that had been used since 1910.

Cartier pioneered modern watches in the Art Deco style that have reigned for over a century, proving that good design never runs out of time.

When Estelle Arpels and Alfred Van Cleef got married in 1895, they didn’t know their love story would create some of the world’s most exquisite jewelry.

can be seen throughout the Van Cleef & Arpels Maison, from fanciful pieces (like their jeweled Ballerina clips!) inspired

tales, couture, astronomy, love and nature to their collaborative design process and the careful attention they give each collection.

See that creativity firsthand in Van Cleef’s hallmark transformable jewelry, like the iconic Zip necklace. When the zipper entered mainstream fashion in the 1930s, the Maison’s designers were inspired to turn the zipper into jewelry, even going as far as patenting the design in as early as 1938. Embodying a sense of both movement and mystery, the tasseled Zip necklace can be worn multiple ways. Unzip it and you have a necklace; zip it up and you have a bracelet.

At this Maison, every collection starts with that same level of creativity. The brand’s innovative designers are constantly looking for ways to make their pieces simultaneously inclusive, out-of-the-box and aesthetic. Tremendous emphasis is placed on their standards for stone selection, too. Whether they’re sent to match a design or are inspiration for the design itself, every gem placed in Van Cleef & Arpels’ jewelry or watches has to be the best, most precious stone, possessing both incredible coloring and natural nuances that make that stone so rare.

“We like to choose themes that are universal, like poetry and dance,” said a representative from the jewelry Maison. “What is created must be well-made, interesting, beautiful and always anchored in a cultural context without being exclusionary.”

And to accomplish that, Van Cleef & Arpels goes back to how it all started: as a family affair.

“When we launch a theme for a new collection, we call on designers, stone experts and workshop references,” said the representative. “Everyone contributes.”

BUCCELLATI

CONTINUES TO CAPTIVATE

Simultaneously unexpected yet immediately recognizable, Buccellati’s newest creations are additions to two of their most beloved collections.

The stunning Hawaii Oval necklace, available in either yellow gold or a combination of yellow, white, and pink gold, is the newest addition to the ever-popular collection of earrings, necklaces and bracelets. The original design was conceived by Mario Buccellati in the 1930s and was inspired by the iconic Hawaiian welcoming garland. It has now been “ovalized” to form an even softer piece — a veritable cascade of elliptical oval elements of different sizes link to one another in a rich and magnificently delicate necklace. The innovation of the Hawaii design was considered outstanding, and it remains one of Buccellati’s best-selling collections.

Meanwhile, the iconic design of the Buccellati Opera collection — in which the core element of the Buccellati logo, with its Renaissance rose window, is used — constantly gives life to captivating creations.

In their new Opera Tulle Premium earrings, a magnification of the logo element has been combined with the Maison’s typical tulle workmanship. This combination makes a strong statement while still maintaining its elegance and discretion. The earrings are available with a central diamond, as well as with and without diamonds on the borders.

These brilliant pieces confirm the Maison’s traits of great personality and unmistakable style, which have made the company’s jewelry synonymous with timeless beauty all around the world.

ITALIAN REVELRY

Picture this: It’s the 1920s and you’re a charming young duke with exquisite taste, and an inheritance slightly less grand than your title. Your new best friend Cole Porter invites you to a house party in Venice, where you meet the young Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel on a balcony overlooking the Grand Canal. After a few glasses of champagne, you’ve decided to spend the aforementioned inheritance on a farewell costume ball in your palazzo in Palermo and move to Paris. It seems like a fever dream until you realize this is the true story of Verdura’s namesake founder and designer, Fulco Santostefano della Cerda, Duke of Verdura.

United by their love of art and history, the duke and Coco Chanel embarked on a road trip to see the Byzantine mosaics of Empress Theodora, which adorn the famous cathedral of Ravenna, Italy. Neither knew it at the time, but this artistic pilgrimage would inspire a new era in jewelry. Knowing the duke’s love of painting and design, Coco asked Fulco to reimagine the jewelry given to her by ex-lovers into something befitting her modern image.

In stark contrast to the Art Deco trends of that era, Verdura was moved to create an entirely new look: a riot of colorful gems in a range of cuts, shapes and sizes set into rich yellow gold. The pair of white enamel and gold cuffs studded with multicolored gemstones became known as the original Maltese Cross Cuffs, becoming a signature piece for Coco, and eventually Verdura’s design legacy.

At the encouragement of his friend Diana Vreeland, the duke entered the American jewelry scene with a foray into Hollywood, and in 1939, he opened his Fifth Avenue salon. From the silver screen to Broadway, Fulco di Verdura designed jewels for the most glamorous women of the era, from Greta Garbo to Marlene Dietrich to the Cushing sisters. His original archive of 10,000 gouache designs is still used to make Verdura’s collections today.

Now, Duke Fulco di Verdura’s vision is carried out by father and son duo Ward and Nico Landrigan, CEO and President of the House of Verdura. They maintain the duke’s legacy through a commitment to craftsmanship and original design, introducing his work to a new generation of the most stylish women.

JENNIFER FISHER

WHET YOUR APPETITE

When Manhattan’s “Queen of Hoops,” Jennifer Fisher, posted an Instagram photo of her homemade avocado toast with a poached egg in 2016, she didn’t know she was launching a new business venture. As founder of her namesake jewelry company since 2005, Jennifer was already known for her signature hoop earring collections, dog tag charms, red carpet-ready cuffs and cult celebrity following. (Uma Thurman, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Hailey Bieber, Selena Gomez and Reese Witherspoon are just some of many A-listers who love her coveted designs.)

Fast-forward to 2017 and Jennifer added another one of her passions to the brand: cooking. As a mom with Hashimoto’s disease who’s undergone chemotherapy, she loves coming up with delicious, healthy recipes and seasonings for her family. That nowfamous breakfast photo kick-started it all, as countless followers wanted to know the secret spice mix that made her perfectly poached egg and avocado toast look so good. The answer? Jennifer’s homemade seasoning, a blend of Kosher salt, black pepper, red chili pepper flakes, dill weed, dried cilantro and lemon zest — and everyone wanted to try it. At the suggestion of her husband, Kevin, who runs the company alongside her, Jennifer packaged and tested a small batch of her recipe to see how it would do. The rest is history.

Today, Jennifer Fisher sells four varieties of her homemade salt blends: her original Universal Salt, Spicy Salt, Curry Salt and Everything-Style Spicy Salt available in a refillable jar, bag or stick packs. She’s writing a cookbook and shares hundreds of her original family recipes using her blended salts on jenniferfisher.com. When you try her recipes for yourself — and trust us, you want to — you can use her collection of dinnerware and kitchen accessories, which she designed exclusively for CB2.

After all, for jewelry empress Jennifer Fisher, real beauty isn’t just about style. It’s about helping good people live their best lives, both inside and out.

NATURAL DIAMONDS KEEP IT REAL

There are many factors in play when purchasing a diamond, whether it’s for an engagement ring, a wedding band or a future heirloom. In addition to the famous “4 Cs,” one of the biggest factors consumers face today is whether to purchase natural or laboratory diamonds.

What’s the difference? First, laboratory-grown diamonds are not identical to natural diamonds. Natural diamonds are grown in the earth and often found in mines around the globe. Laboratory diamonds are mass-produced in factories, located primarily in China, India and Singapore in industrial reactors. According to the Natural Diamond Council (NDC), the rapid, artificial production process, which occurs in just two weeks, creates telltale marks within the stones.

Furthermore, laboratory-grown diamonds have negative impacts on the environment; they require massive amounts of energy and a significant amount of water to create. Laboratory diamond production also causes excessive carbon emissions, according to the Council.

On the other hand, natural diamonds are completely unique. They hold specific properties, characteristics, and even inclusions, making them one of the most intimately personal items to select for oneself or for others.

Every purchase of a natural diamond supports an industry that values responsible and transparent business practices. This also helps local communities generate long-term sustainable development and a lasting positive legacy.

On a practical note, natural diamonds have shown to appreciate in value every year, which is not necessarily true of laboratory-grown diamonds. Along with this benefit, the uniqueness, emotional connection and versatility of natural diamonds is why these stones are becoming the preferred purchase of diamond buyers.

London Jewelers exemplifies the profound influence a business can have by not only providing exquisite jewelry but also fostering a world where generosity and compassion thrive. London Jewelers received the 2024 Diamonds Do Good’s Community Impact Award for their unwavering commitment to philanthropy and community betterment while also being a beacon of trust and integrity for over nine decades.

EMILIO’S BALLATO

A TRUE ITALIAN INSTITUTION

In a city where restaurants open and close on a daily basis, Emilio’s Ballato is an oasis of comfort, having stood in the same spot — 55 East Houston Street — since 1956. Moreover, for the past seven decades, it has delivered exactly what its customers want: superb Southern Italian food — ranging from Spaghetti Pomodoro to Chicken Parmigiana — superior service, and a familial atmosphere that makes it feel like a second home to its loyal clientele.

The biggest change since the restaurant’s opening, however, is the family in charge.

While the restaurant was founded by John Ballato, it is now owned by Emilio Vitolo, a former carpenter and successful Hollywood actor and his father, Emilio Vitolo Sr.

In addition, Emilio has made the eatery a true family affair. His brother Antonio is the chef, and his father (who previously owned the restaurant), mother and brother Mario are often greeting customers, helping out or just adding their own personality to the surroundings.

“All the recipes come from my father, who actually got his recipes from my grandmother,” said Emilio. “My dad came over from Italy as a child with his mother, and this is the food she used to make. It’s truly as authentic as it gets!”

OUR CAUSE FOR PAWS

London Jewelers President Candy Udell merges her passions for jewelry and animal rescue

Candy Udell, president of London Jewelers, has made it her life’s work to protect animals using her own connections and resources to save the lives of precious animals.

To help give back to the community, she established the Rescue Paw Foundation more than a decade ago. The nonprofit provides grants for transportation and veterinary services that offer spaying and neutering to the animals being rescued from national and international missions. It also focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals, with a mission to end animal cruelty and homelessness.

“My life is about my family, my business, my friends and animal rescue. All of that defines who I am,” she explained. “I try to fit it all in every day. And it’s working really well.”

The group has saved more than 10,000 animals and counting, according to the foundation. The group also regularly backs many no–kill shelters, aids in adoption services and provides support and grants for human educational programs. By working closely with these partners, the Rescue Paw Foundation maximizes its reach and effectiveness, helping thousands of animals find loving homes.

One of the key initiatives of the Rescue Paw Foundation is its adoption programs. The foundation organizes and participates in two to three adoption events a year, which has dozens of rescues and shelters participating. “What a great success it’s been finding homes for these animals.” These events are crucial in raising awareness about the plight of homeless animals and encouraging the community to get

involved. Additionally, the foundation provides ongoing support to adoptive families, ensuring a smooth transition for both the pets and their new owners.

The foundation regularly seeks out shelters and specific rescues in need. Candy is also involved in the Humane Education Advocates Reaching Teachers (HEART) organization that provides programs to educate young people become compassionate changemakers for animals, and sits on the board of the Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine and Nassau County SPCA to combat animal cruelty. Udell’s group also does work internationally. She partners with wellknown animal activist Jeffrey Beri who founded “No Dogs Left Behind,” an international organization dedicated to rescuing dogs and ultimately transporting them to what Udell calls, “forever, loving homes”.

In 2011, she combined two of her passions: jewels and animal rescue. She produced a collection of jewelry named, Our Cause for Paws from which 100 percent of the net proceeds is donated to rescuing and caring for unwanted and homeless pets.

Her most recent foray into animal rescue has been the most emotional of all. Udell has partnered with the Northwell Health Hospice Care Network to provide safe havens for the animals of end-of-life patients. The initiative, called Candy’s Angels, reserves spaces at no-kill shelters, funds veterinary services and conducts searches for foster homes and adoptions. “A hospice patient can pass in peace knowing their pet is well cared for and loved,” explained Udell.

Candy Udell’s passion for animal rescue is evident in every aspect of the foundation’s work. Her leadership and vision have transformed the Rescue Paw Foundation into a beacon of hope for animals in need. By merging her expertise in the jewelry industry with her love for animals, Udell has created a unique and impactful organization that continues to make a difference in the lives of countless animals.

A HOME FOR GOOD TASTE

Macari Vineyards, located in Mattituck on the North Fork of Long Island, is owned and operated by the Macari family. The family’s waterfront farm, with its sweeping views of the Long Island Sound, was established over 50 years ago by Joseph Macari Sr. who later founded Macari Vineyards in 1995 along with his son, Joseph Macari, Jr, and his daughter-in-law, Alexandra Macari.

Since planting the first vines, the vineyard has gained recognition for its commitment to regenerative agriculture. The vineyard is also home to a herd of cattle, integral to the Macari’s extensive composting program, and its grapes are cultivated without the use of herbicide.

The family’s Mattituck Tasting Room sits on the edge of the nearly 500-acre farm and is open yearround to visitors, offering many tastings and elevated experiences for experienced wine connoisseurs and newcomers alike.

Furthering its commitment to consumers, in 2022, the Macari family unveiled “Meadowlark North Fork,” a new concept winery destination in the heart

of Cutchogue. Meadowlark North Fork is home to a year-round small-batch wine bar offering wines only available for sale on-site. The small-production wines are made with innovative techniques such as carbonic maceration, long lees aging, skin contact, and whole cluster fermentations.

Meadowlark North Fork boasts expansive gardens, ideal for gatherings and celebrations of all sizes. With its upscale event facilities, the venue has rapidly become a sought-after location for various occasions, including weddings, engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, corporate outings, and wine education events. Meadowlark North Fork adds a touch of sophistication and authentic North Fork charm to each gathering.

Macari Vineyards is open seven days a week, year-round. Meadowlark North Fork is available yearround for private gatherings. The wine bar operates seasonally, Friday to Sunday from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and Saturday to Sunday from September through May.

IT’S HIP TO BE SQUARE

Maison Gerald Charles’ Maestro 3.0 Chronograph, Ref. GC3.0-TN-01, lives up to its storied heritage. It is a unique watch that combines founder Gérald Charles Genta’s unmistakable Maestro case shape with an automatic manufacture calibre.

This chronograph version features a lightweight and mirror-polished titanium case and a royal blue vulcanized rubber strap.

Like all Gerald Charles watches, this new Chronograph, Ref. GC3.0-TN-01, is a sporty and elegant wristwatch that can be worn on every occasion.

The creation of this new timepiece required extensive research and development to overcome a number of technical challenges. First was to craft the Maestro’s irregular shape in Grade 5 titanium, a highly resistant material much harder to manipulate into complex forms than stainless steel.

Another challenge was also to manufacture the watch’s bespoke chronograph pushers and Clous de Paris crown in Grade 5 titanium.

The case and pushers had to be mirror-polished to

capture and retain the elegance for which the Maestro has become known, a feature that gives it its unique character and versatility.

The Maestro GC3.0-TN Chronograph weighs 40 percent less than its sister model in steel.

Inside the watch is the Maestro 3.0 Chronograph Manufacture automatic chronograph calibre. This hand-finished, chronometer calibre meets the notoriously uncompromising technical and aesthetic criteria of the Qualité Fleurier standard for accuracy, durability and resistance. This exquisite movement is visible through a sapphire crystal case back.

The story of the Maestro’s intricate detailing continues on the dial, which is characterized by its three applied, polished counters at 3, 6 and 9, respectively displaying the running seconds, chronograph hours and chronograph minutes. The round-tipped hands and applied hour markers are all filled with a generous quantity of Super-LumiNova for low-light legibility. It’s water-resistant up to 10 ATM (100 meters).

As the pop singer Huey Lewis once wrote, it’s hip to be square!

GERALD CHARLES

Maestro 8.0 Squelette

Ref. GC8.0-A-07

Every watch created by Maison Gerald Charles comes from Mr. Genta’s original designs. It took two years of R&D to develop the skeletonized architecture of the Maestro 8.0 Squelette. The bespoke calibre GCA 5482 is powered by a decentred micro-rotor in 22K Rose Gold 4N which allows the movement to be reduced to 2.6mm, making the Maestro 8.0 Squelette the thinnest timepiece in the Maestro collection, with an overall thickness of 8.35mm. The result is an elegant yet highly technical timepiece, which meets the uncompromising technical and aesthetic criteria of the Qualité Fleurier standard for accuracy and precision.
