Madison Fine Time

For the serious watch collector, vintage Patek Philippe wristwatches are amongst the most sought-after timepieces in the world. Madison Fine Time, the world’s first independent Patek Philippe gallery, is the dream of owner and curator, Michael Safdie. A prominent collector himself, Safdie started out in his family’s business of fine art and later drifted into the field of watch collection. He became a passionate watch collector, but soon found himself most fascinated by Patek Philippe and began concentrating his collection entirely on this prestigious brand. Over the past 30 years, he has built one of the largest collections of Patek Philippe watches, both vintage and new. His vision to share his passion and collection with other watch lovers around the world thus resulted in the opening of Madison Fine Time, housed appropriately in a former art gallery on 61st and Madison in New York City. The collection, which features the rarest of the rare Patek Philippes under one roof, is an incredible opportunity for watch collectors to see such a vast collection of Patek wristwatches from the 20th century, as well as have the option of buying one of these exquisite timepieces from the existing collection.
Typically, the only place to see watches such as the famous reference 1518 perpetual calendar chronograph which is the first of its kind, the 2499 known to be the most perfectly balanced watch ever made, or the neoclassic 3970, the ultimate modern watch, would be at famous auction houses. With the creation of Madison Fine Time, Patek Philippe enthusiasts, collectors or those just curious to learn more about these fine timepieces, will have an unparalleled, one of a kind experience.
