If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water. Loran Eisley, The Immense Journey, 1957

1. CONCEPT

Water is an essential element. It means life. Water flows modeling various topographies. Despite the nature of the going through or carved entity it always settles horizontally. Water responds to the vertical legacies of gravity by horizontal caress of earth. Our concept vibrates around horizon, horizontality and primordial shape. Holding hands together to take, bring closer and drink water is an archetypal gesture still valid, used and celebrated. Water steles horizontally in this “incipient” recipient. Fusing archetype with the utter most expression of purity in form we seek to create a bottle in the purest shape that water may take. But water has the versatility, obedience and impertinence to both take and change into any forms.

The aim was to select a form with embodied power to convey substance to water that fills the form. Consequently sphere could be the answer. Still this perfect shape is condemned by gravity to alterations. The cube, pyramid and cylinder are other archetypes. WE postulate the water perfect shape is when is “free”. Then what perfect shape a bottle might have? We express conviction that is precisely a container that enhances water proprieties: transparent, colorless (and smell-less). characteristics: smooth density, versatile, reflecting and refracting light and surroundings dominance: horizontal, indicating dynamic equilibrium between natural forces image: both deep substance and mirroring aim: maintain an open horizon

FABRICATION The glass bottle shape is made using the blow method. Forming machines hold and move the parts forming the container. Powered by compressed air, the mechanisms are timed to coordinate the movement of all parts. Treatment process to improve the chemical resistance and quality of the inside. The role of the cold end is to inspect the containers for defects, package the containers for shipment and label the containers. Glass containers are 100% inspected; automatic machines, or sometimes persons, inspect every container for a variety of faults. MATERIALS GLASS: At a simple level the structure of glass is strong, though glass itself is a brittle material. A process called tampering can strengthen glass, tampering is achieved when the glass surface is cooled more rapidly then the middle. By doing this it causes the surface to become ridged first and when the interior cools and contracts it pulls on the surface, causing a residual compressive stress. Tampered glass still looks and feels the same as regular glass it is just more durable. ALUMINIUM: is a silver-white, soft metal and the most abundant metallic element, comprising 1/12th of the Earth's crust. It must be combined with oxygen and other elements and processed to produce the aluminium used in bottlecans. Bottlecans are made from 100 percent recyclable aluminium through either an extrusion or Coil to Can (C2C) process to a wide range of shapes and sizes RECYCLING & SUSTAINABILITY Glass can be recycled indefinitely as part of a simple but hugely beneficial process, as its structure does not deteriorate when reprocessed. In the case of bottles and jars, up to 80% of the total mixture can be made from reclaimed scrap glass, called "cullet". From bottle banks it is known as foreign and its actual properties will not be known. If recycled glass is used to make new bottles and jars, the energy needed in the furnace is greatly reduced. After accounting for the transport and processing needed, 315kg of CO2 is saved per tonne of glass melted. Aluminium is 100% recyclable without any loss of its natural qualities. Recovery of the metal via recycling has become an important facet of the aluminium industry. In terms of sustainability bouth aluminium and glass materials are the most desirable in the recycling steam as their recycleing process requires only 5% of the energy required to manufacture them.
