UNAMID

The African Union - United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) is one of the largest peacekeeping missions. UNAMID has the protection of civilians as its core mandate, but also is tasked with contributing to security for humanitarian assistance, monitoring and verifying implementation of agreements, assisting to facilitating an inclusive political process, and contributing to the promotion of human rights and the rule of law.
