This February, in celebration of Black History Month, I wanted to recommend a classic American film called A Raisin in the Sun, directed by Daniel Petrie and starring Sidney Poitier and Claudia McNeil. Based on the renowned play by Lorraine Hansberry (who also wrote the screenplay for this film adaptation), this 1961 movie follows the Youngers, a Black family living together in a Chicago apartment.
