A Golden Revelation

I silently prayed, “Lord, I would love to see one of these beautiful birds!”

Two days later, as I sat in my backyard waiting to capture photos of a Painted Bunting, the clouds behind me continually covered and uncovered the sun, taunting me and my camera settings. I heard a very high-pitched sound of “chee-chee” and wondered where it was coming from. Looking in the direction of the sound, I couldn’t see anything at first. Suddenly, the clouds parted and the bright shining sun gloriously revealed the golden breasts of a flock of 25-30 Cedar Waxwings feeding on seed pods at the top of a Cypress tree behind my house!

While shooting the photos, I thanked God and praised Him for such a magnificent sight and answered prayer! God provides everything for all His creation. Matthew 6:26 states, “Look at the birds of the air, they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” He not only allowed me to see one Cedar Waxwing, He provided an entire flock! What a good, good Father we serve!

Thank you, Father, for your love and provision!
