In 1994 American rockers Nine Inch Nails (aka NiN) wrote a song called hurt. The song was covered brilliantly by Johnny Cash in 2002. Cash sang it in a lower voice than the original and with lines like Everyone I know Goes Away In The End made it a tear jerking classic. Adele had a big hit with Make You Feel My Love.
