Dear Jenn, It was a PLEASURE meeting with you yesterday! We are extremely excited about the possibility of having Rocky Top Catering as the exclusive catering for our Friday Night Fundraising Gala. Colon cancer tried to kill me..but it didn’t succeed. I am on a chemobreak and I’ve been feeling better. So, I’ve decided to concentrate less on me and concentrate more on being a blessing to those around me. The Making Memories Matter event series promises to be one of a kind. The itinerary will be comprised of an entire weekend of educational yet entertaining social events. The following media kit will explain in depth my story, my desire to make a difference and our specific goals for a fundraising campaign which will take place this October. I would really appreciate your consideration to become an in kind sponsor by helping us by considering to reduce our overhead costs. Sponsor support will be vital to the success of our goal. My husband & I work hard to offer sponsorship opportunities at levels that fit companies of all sizes. Please review the media kit and call our office to discuss your options or alternative benefits. We pride ourselves on working with each of our sponsors to develop collaborative opportunities specific to each individual company’s needs. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Colon Cancer Alliance’s Blue Note Fund which gives one-time grants of $300 to colon cancer patients who are currently in treatment. My contact information is below. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Enthusiastically Yours,

SPOKESPERSON Kesha Monk is a radio personality who has worked in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. She is also a professional voiceover actress. After six months of misdiagnosis she is battling stage IV colon cancer. Currently on a chemotherapy break, Kesha has decided to use her voice to promote cancer awareness and research.
“I often tell people that I feel like my life has been hit by a tornado that went undetected. After the eye of the storm passed, I encountered massive devastation that nearly destroyed my physical, emotional, financial, psychological and spiritual being. In November 2011, I received my first diagnosis of colon cancer. After nearly twelve intense rounds of chemotherapy treatments, the cancer resurfaced in my neck. After a few surgeries, more wretched chemo and many sleepless nights, I had a revelation. My perspective on life has completely changed. Having cancer has not been an easy journey - but if it were not for such a fierce support system, I would not have made it this far. I’m making a conscious decision to do more than merely exist. I want to live and I want to make memories matter. The plan? To pay it forward! This October, my husband & I along with some of our colleagues will plan a series of events that will benefit the Colon Cancer Alliance’s BLUE NOTE FUND and begin our own research and outreach program. We will party with a purpose. Will your company consider being a sponsor?
