VOLUNTEER NEWSLETTER
Your Collective Impact 8,769 Volunteer Hours Served in 2021
New volunteers began joining Animal Care League this past month, and I want to thank each and every one of you for the warm welcome you have given to them. We could not do the work that we have accomplished this past year without you all volunteering your free time to be here with all of the animals. There's a lot of exciting changes happening to Animal Care League with new volunteer positions opening and construction starting. I hope everyone is excited for what 2022 will bring to ACL!

New Volunteers New Volunteer Orientation resumed on November 21st, and since then we have onboarded 21 new volunteers. These volunteers have mostly joined us in cat and dog enrichment, but we have onboarded new 2nd Chance Shop, Cat Care Assistant, and General Shelter Support volunteers. We are still actively recruiting new volunteers to join us in all open positions!

GIVING TUESDAY
RECAP
Giving Tuesday was on November 30th this year and we raised $86,000 from the community! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped raise funds through kennel lock-ins, creating online fundraisers, sharing our Giving Tuesday goals, and donating. Our original goal was to raise $65,000 which we achieved around 6:30pm so we decided to increase our goal to $75,000 which we achieved and then surpassed! Maggie Lynch was the first kennel lock-in person broken out when she reached her $3,000 goal (double the required amount to be broken out!) and all of our kennel lock-in participants reached their $1,500 goal that evening. A huge thank you to Chatka Ruggiero who is matching donations which means we raised well over $100,000 this year!
