Billabong and VONZIPPER joins WRV... The Billabong bus rolled into Wave Riding Vehicle’s Easter weekend bash. The shop hosted a sales event for the weekend. Billabong and VZ rolled out the dog and pony show and kicked things off with an old fashion Easter egg toss. This was followed up by an insane product toss fueled by Monster Energy Drinks. Afterwards the kids were sent scrambling thru the store for WRV’s Easter egg hunt. Everyone got something and everyone left super stoked! Till next years Easter Bunny returns, Thanks for having us!

Kerzy and Taj - One and Two (again) This past weekend at Margaret River in Western OZ, VZ went with a one-two punch at the 6star Drug Aware Pro, with Josh Kerr taking the top spot over fellow VZ slasher Taj Burrow in a rematch of their final earlier this year... These two are making a habit of ending up in finals together.. And we LIKE it!!! Josh came from behind to beat TB with a perfect ten with seven minutes left in the final, winning the event with a a series of massive punts that left the 7000 folks on hand to witness the event dumbfounded.. According to Taj, Kerzy was congratulating him on his fourth win in a row when Josh decided to spin on the next wave that came through and put on a show for the crowd.... Two of the biggest airs ever landed in competition later, Kerzy ends up on the high water mark on the podium.... Taj is currently ranked number one in the world heading to Bells Beach for the second stop on the WCT, while Josh has done well for his requalifying efforts to get back on the big tour for the reseed in August...

SUPERPARK... Last week hundreds of the best riders and soon to be ones from all over the globe descended on a little town in the Sierra’s called Mammoth. Destined to either make a name for themselves or to get broken in the process, the week was filled with nothing less than amazing snowboarding. VonZipper had riders from both North America and Europe throwing down for Snowboarder Mag and their staff of video dudes and picture takers. VZ shredders in attendance were Hana Beaman, Kyle Lopiccolo, Marc Swoboda, Spencer Link, Alex Dawoud, Sketchy D, Nick Visconti, Aymeric Tonin, Clint Allen, Pat Milbery and Andrew Hardingham. Not only did our crew blow minds on a daily basis, they also got coverage every single day on Snowboarder Magazine’s website.

Dano interview-AX champ Heres our newest champ. Dano Aulseybrook, Dano won the AX lites east championship a few weeks ago. Dano gave VZ a bunch of press not only at the event but on Speed TV. Dano crushed it on the track and always thanked VZ on the podium. His teammate AJ Catanzaro won the other championship in the lites class on the west. 2 for 2 Dano lays it low with the flow...

TICKLE WINS!!! Monday conversation with last weeks winner from Seattle, #20 Broc Tickle. Tickle was able to capitalize with the break and come back fresh with some outdoor testing under his belt. Tickle had his best finish of the west coast season before the time off with a second place finish. Seattle marked the first win of Tickle’s young career and VonZipper’s first win of the Supercross season.

VEGAS RECAP... The shakes and sweats of 5 day in vegas have almost subsided so i bring you a recap of the last round of Supercross for 2010. VonZipper had 10 Lites riders on hand for the East/West Shootout with 3 riders under the two tents of Star Racing and Honda of Troy. With only the top 20 of each coast invited to ride at this season ending event. #20 Broc Tickle finished just outside the top 5 in 6th place in the main event with his teammate #577 Martin Davalos just behind him as the checkered flag came out. 6th place is pretty impressive since 1st-4th place was the whole pro circuit team. All 3 DNA/Shred Stix Star Racing riders of #48 Max Anstie, #577 Martin Davalos, and #20 Broc Tickle all captured heat race wins throught the season and Broc Tickle won his first lites event of his career in Seattle. Broc Tickle finished 4th overall out West with his teammate Max Anstie finishing in the top ten in 9th place overall in his first season of SX. Expect alot more out of the 16 year old brit. On the opposite coast Martin Davalos rebounded from a tuff start back east to finish out strong winning 3 heat races in a row. Davalos finished 9th overall back east. Honda of Troy rider Mike Willard had his best results of his career on his new team finishing 10th overall. And now we switch gears heading from indoors to the great outdoors. the Rock Star Hangtown Outdoor national is in 2 weeks in Sacramento, CA. Back in action will be factory Suzuki rider Matt Moss for round 1 of the outdoor series. Moss was recovering from a broken back and wrist injury shortly after his SX championship in Australia.

HANGTOWN RECAP... he 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship kicked-off on Saturday with the 42nd Annual Rockstar Energy Hangtown Classic. VonZipper had a fleet of riders in the Lites class and factoy 450 riders in the mx class. In the Lites Class #20 Broc Tickle wasted no time in the first practice setting one of the fastest lap times of the entire day. Tickle qualified 2nd and ran up front all day. Besides for slidding out in a corner late in moto one, Tickle, showed everyone he has what it takes to be a contender for the championship in the Lites class. Tickle would have had to top fives finishes but ended the day going 11-5 for 7th overall. His DNA Shred Stix Yamama teammates of #48 Max Anstie went 12-14 for 11th overall and #577 Martin Davalos went 16-11 for 13th overall. Honda of Troy’s Darren Durham ran up front in both moto’s but slipped back in the first moto due to his contact falling out. Double D had the sickest color combo setup with matching pink gear, goggles, and helmet in practice. In the 450 class #122 Dan Reardon looked solid with his new team and bike. Reardon’s lap times were just off the top riders in the stacked big bike class. But when the gate dropped on the main events Reardon suffered bad starts and had to charge from the back of the pack. Reardon put his head down and moved towards the front but ran out of time and ended the day going 14-17 for 15th overall.
