PROPOSED ROAD CLOSURES
Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary Closure of Commons Road, Loughlinstown Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council proposes to temporarily close Commons Road, Loughlinstown from its Junction with N11 to its Junction with Shanganagh Road from Wednesday, 10th August 2016 to Friday, 16th September 2016 inclusive, in order to facilitate road restoration and associated works as part of Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, 2016 Road Restoration Programme. A Traffic Management Plan with diversion routes will be in operation and local access will be maintained for the full duration of the works. Any interested party may lodge an objection in writing with the Senior Engineer, Traffic Section, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council or email traffic@dlrcoco.ie not later than noon on Tuesday, 2nd August 2016.

Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary Closure of Tivoli Terrace South, Dún Laoghaire Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council proposes to temporarily close Tivoli Terrace South, Dun Laoghaire from its Junction with York Road to its Junction with Tivoli Terrace East from Wednesday, 17th August 2016 to Friday, 21st October 2016 inclusive, in order to facilitate road restoration and associated works as part of Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Councils 2016 Road Restoration Programme. A Traffic Management Plan with diversion routes will be in operation and local access will be maintained for the full duration of the works. ROAD CLOSURES
Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 DLR Bay 10K Road Race Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Traffic Section has approved the temporary closure of the roads listed below on Monday Bank Holiday, 1st August 2016 in order to facilitate a 10K Road Race. The race will take the following route: Newtownsmith, Windsor Terrace, Queen’s Road, Crofton Road, Harbour Road, Dunleary Road, Longford Terrace, Seapoint Ave, Seafield Ave, Monkstown Road, Carrickbrennan Road, Mounttown Road Upper, Mounttown Road Lower, Glenageary Road Upper, Albert Road Upper, Albert Road, St. Catherine’s Road, Castle Park Road, Elton Park, Sandycove Road, Glasthule Road and Link Road. Newtownsmith, Windsor Terrace, Queen’s Road, Crofton Road, and Harbour Road will be CLOSED from 06.00 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. and the remaining roads will be subject to a rolling closure as the race progresses between 9.50 a.m – 12.30 p.m. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and diversions will be signposted. Full details of the diversions will appear on our website www.dlrcoco.ie and will also be available at our public counter in Harbour Square, Crofton Road, Dún Laoghaire and in Dún Laoghaire and Blackrock Libraries.

Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary Closure of Killiney Road, Killiney Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Traffic Section has approved the application received from Amazon Developments, Unit 4 Ballymount Corporate Park, Ballymount Avenue Upper, Ballymount, Dublin 12 to temporarily close Killiney Road from the junction of Ballinclea Road to Killiney Hill Road to through traffic from Monday, 8th August 2016 to Wednesday, 17th August 2016. The purpose of the closure is to make a connection to the mains water and foul water system to a new housing estate and also a surface water culvert diversion. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and the diversion routes will be clearly signposted. Local Access will be maintained at all times.
Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary Closure of Barnhill Road, Dalkey Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order to temporarily close Barnhill Road to through traffic from Castlepark Road junction to Barnhill Avenue Junction. The closure is to take place from Monday, 1st August 2016 to Thursday, 4th August 2016. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate a storm water connection. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and the diversion routes will be signposted. Local Access will be maintained at all times.
Bird Avenue Road and Footpath Improvements Scheme Works to be undertaken between 2nd August and mid/end October 2016 Proposed Road Works and Traffic Management Notice Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Road Maintenance Section, propose to undertake extensive road and footpath improvement works along Bird Avenue, Clonskeagh, Dublin 14. This work will involve full road reconstruction. Drainage works and kerb realignments to facilitate the provision of indented parking. While local access will be maintained at all times, these works will entail severe restrictions for through traffic in order that the Scheme can be completed in a safe and efficient manner. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place.

Footpath restoration works will commence at the junction of Grange Road with College Road extending to Pine Valley Avenue on Tuesday, 2nd August until Friday, 19th August 2016 between 10:00 and 19:00 hrs. A 4-Way Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Old Dunleary Road, DĂşn Laoghaire ***
Works will continue on Old Dunleary Road between the Purty Kitchen and Clarence Street junction until Friday, 5th August 2016 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. to facilitate road marking reinstatement and raising of ironworks. A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Bird Avenue, Clonskeagh ***
Works to facilitate the upgrade of a watermain on behalf of Irish Water will continue on Bird Avenue, Clonskeagh until Friday, 12th August 2016. A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.
Convent Road, Blackrock ** KN Network Services will be carrying out footpath widening works on Convent Road, Blackrock from its junction with Carysfort Avenue to Carysfort National School Entrance. Works will be carried out from Monday, 18th July 2016 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. for 8 weeks. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.
N11 / Johnstown Road Junction ** Works to facilitate the upgrade of the junction of Stillorgan Road / Johnstown Road junction will take place from the end of May 2016 to the end of October 2016. Various traffic restrictions will apply over the duration of the scheme. The outbound bus lane on the N11 is currently closed approaching the junction. Myrtle Grove, Stillorgan * Road restoration works will commence on Monday, 25th July 2016 until Friday, 5th August 2016. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.
Marley Grange Estate, Rathfarnham * Footpath restoration works will commence on Monday, 18th July 2016 until Friday, 12th August 2016 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.
Balally Estate, Dundrum * Footpath improvement works will commence on Monday, 11th July 2016 until Friday, 12th August 2016 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.
