ROAD CLOSURES

Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary Closure of Johnstown Road, Cabinteely

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order to temporarily close Johnstown Road between the junctions with the N11 and the Old Bray Road, Cabinteely.

The closure is to take place from 8.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. each night from: Monday, 14th November 2016 to Wednesday, 16th November 2016.

The purpose of the proposed closure is to facilitate road works as part of the N11Johnstown Road Junction Improvement Scheme.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

The proposed diversion route will be via the Old Bray Road and onto the N11 at the junction with Clonkeen Road and vice versa.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and the diversion will be clearly signposted.

Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Extension to the Temporary Closure of Tivoli Terrace South, Dún Laoghaire Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Traffic Section has approved an extension of the temporary closure of Tivoli Terrace South, Dún Laoghaire from its junction with York Road to its junction with Tivoli Terrace East from: Saturday, 22nd October 2016 to Friday, 16th December 2016 inclusive, in order to facilitate the rehabilitation of a water main for Irish Water in addition to the road restoration and associated works as part of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council’s Road Restoration Programme 2016.

The Road Closure will remain in place overnight and Local Access will be maintained at all times to Tivoli Terrace South via the Tivoli Terrace East.

A signed detour will be in place for the duration of the works.

ESB cabling works will take place on Sunday, 13th November 2016 between 07:00 and 13:00 hrs.

Footpath restoration works will commence on Monday, 14th November 2016 until Friday, 2nd December 2016 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs.

Frascati Road, Blackrock***

Road works will continue on Frascati Road, Blackrock between Mount Merrion Avenue and Rock Hill between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. and also from Monday, 21st November for four nights.

All work will be completed by Saturday, 3rd December 2016.

These works are associated with the redevelopment of Frascati Shopping Centre.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in place.

N11 / Johnstown Road Junction ***

Works to facilitate the upgrade of the junction of Stillorgan Road (N11) / Johnstown Road junction will take place from the end of June 2016 to January 2017. Various traffic restrictions will apply over the duration of the scheme.

During December works will be on-going in the central median.

Whitehall Road, Churchtown **

Drainage and water main connection works will continue on Whitehall Road until Friday, 18th November 2016.

A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation between 10:00 and 16:00 hours.

Sallynoggin Road, Sallynoggin **

Road works will take place on the Sallynoggin Road between the Glenageary roundabout and the junction with Pearse Street on Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 16:30, on Saturdays 08:30 to 19:00 and on Sundays from 10:00 to 18:00 until 3rd December.

The works are to facilitate connections to the public sewer from the adjacent Lidl development.

A Stop / Go Traffic Management arrangement will be in place and local access will be maintained.

Mount Anville Road, Goatstown **

Works will take place on Mount Anville Road, Goatstown, near Mount Anville Park to facilitate the laying of a new gas main in the road.

A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in place on weekdays from Monday, 14th November 2016 to Friday, 18th November 2016 between 10:00 and 16:00 hours inclusive.

Salthill DART Station, Monkstown ** and at the Junction of Longford Terrace

Linemarking and landscaping works will commence within the car parking area of Salthill Dart station during the week commencing Monday, 14th November 2016 for duration of 2 weeks between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs.

Closure of parking bays will be phased as required to facilitate works.

A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Brooklawn, Blackrock ** and at the Junction of Mount Merrion Avenue

Line marking and snagging works will be undertaken during the week commencing Monday, 14th November 2016 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs.

Pay and Display parking spaces will be suspended as required to facilitate works.

A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Hillside Estate / Dalkey Park / Dalkey Grove / Barnhill Avenue ** and all the adjoining junctions

Extended works will continue until Friday, 18th November 2016 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs.

Line marking and snagging works will commence on Fairlawns, Saval Park Road during the week commencing Monday, 14th November 2016 until Friday, 25th November 2016 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs.

A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Bird Avenue, Churchtown / Dundrum / Clonskeagh *** Footpath and road reconstruction works plus drainage and ducting works will take place from Monday, 15th August 2016 until end of November 2016 between 08:00 and 19:00 hrs.

A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Ballinclea Road / Killiney Road AIP Scheme *** Works are under way at the Ballinclea Road / Avondale Road junction to install the above scheme. Works will proceed along Ballinclea Road and onto Killiney Road. Construction will take approximately 8 weeks.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation which will include Stop / Go as necessary

Pearse Villas, Sallynoggin ** Footpath repairs and road restoration works will continue until Friday, 25 th November 2016 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs.

Ballycorus Road, Ballycorus** Works will take place on behalf of Eir to replace poles and cables along the Ballycorus Road between 09:00 and 17:00 hours beginning on Monday, 17th October 2016 for a period of six weeks.

Carmanhall Road, Sandyford Business District, Sandyford ** Work will take place to construct the Carmanhall Road Pedestrian Improvements Scheme, on Carmanhall Road, Sandyford, near the junction with Blackthorn Drive, from Monday, 10th October 2016 to Tuesday, 29th November 2016 inclusive.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation during this time. It will be necessary to use a Stop/Go Traffic Management set up intermittently during the works between the hours of 10:00 and 16:00 hours.

The Rise, Mount Merrion * (between Greenfield roundabout and Roebuck Avenue on The Rise) Footpath restoration works will commence on Monday, 24th October 2016 until Friday, 25th November 2016 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Avoca Avenue / Avoca Park, Blackrock * Footpath restoration works will continue until Wednesday, 30th November 2016 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs.

A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Temporary Traffic Signals will also be in operation as required to facilitate works.
