Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary closure of Coliemore Road

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council proposes to temporarily close Coliemore Road, Dalkey from its Junction with Castle Street to its Junction with Sorrento Road from Monday, 15th May 2017 to Wednesday, 17th May 2017 inclusive, in order to facilitate road restoration and associated works adjacent to House number 92 Coliemore Road part of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council’s 2017 Patching Programme.

A Traffic Management Plan with diversion routes will be in operation and local access will be maintained for the full duration of the works.

Any interested party may lodge an objection in writing with the Senior Engineer, Traffic Section, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin or email traffic@dlrcoco.ie on or before noon on 9th May, 2017.

Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary closure of R138 Stillorgan Road (Fosters Avenue)

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council proposes to close, R138 Stillorgan Road from Fosters Avenue to Belfield Bridge on Monday, 5th June 2017 from 13.30pm to 16.30pm, in order to facilitate the running of the Women’s Mini Marathon.

The proposed diversion route is via Fosters Avenue and Roebuck Road.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and the diversion route will be signposted.

Any interested party may lodge an objection in writing with the Senior Engineer, Traffic Section, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire before noon on Friday, 12th May 2017.

Nutgrove Avenue - Saturday, 29th April 2017 ****

Nutgrove Fire Station Open day takes place at 13:00 hours on Saturday, 29th April 2017. Expect Traffic Delays along Nutgrove Avenue and Nutgrove Retail Park between 12:30 and 16:30 hours.

Traffic Management will be in operation involving An Garda Síochána.

Rás Benildus – Friday, 5th May 2017 **

5k and 10k Charity Runs will take place along the local road network in the environs of Benildus College, Upper Kilmacud Road, from 7.30pm on Friday, 5th May 2017.

The Runs will start and end at Benildus College.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and the route will be clearly sign-posted.

Cabinteely Garda Station, Cabinteely **

To accommodate works on Cabinteely Garda Station, traffic signals will be switched off in Cabinteely Village from 10:00 until 16:00 hours on Wednesday, 3rd; Thursday 4th & Friday 5th of May 2017.

A Stop and Go system will be in operation for the duration of the works.

R118 / Wyattville Dual Carriageway, Cherrywood **** The delivery of the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone will involve significant construction works over the next 18 months in the Cherrywood area.

The first phase of infrastructure provision for the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone will be delivered by JCL the joint venture between John Cradock Ltd. / Jons Civil Engineering.

Major road works began on the Wyattville Dual Carriageway between M50 Junction 16 and the N11 at Cherrywood, on 9th February 2017 and will continue for the remainder of the year. The primary focus of this phase of the infrastructure works is the upgrade of the Wyattville Roundabout to a signalised junction, and upgrade of Tullyvale Road, involving road construction, road drainage, public lighting, provision of utilities, etc.

Traffic restrictions will be in place for the duration and delays can be expected.

It is intended to retain two lanes of traffic inbound and outbound.

Please note that Pay and Display parking on Tullyvale Road will cease permanently from 1st February 2017, however, Pay and Display parking is available adjacent to the Brides Glen Luas stop, on Cherrywood Avenue Extension.

From the 24th April 2017, traffic shall be reduced to 1 lane in both directions on the R118 Wyattville Link Rd between the N11 and M50 from 10am and 4pm daily. This is to facilitate the installation of new service crossings across the R118 Wyattville Link Road in multiple locations. This shall be continued daily for approximately 6 weeks.

From the 24th April 2017, it is also intended to install barriers to the median of the R118 Wyattville Link Rd (between the M50 and Cherrywood Roundabout) to facilitate works in the median. This shall stay in place for approximately 8 weeks. Two lanes shall be maintained.

Monkstown Village Improvement Scheme ***

Works will commence on the Monkstown Village Improvement Scheme on Monday, 24th April 2017 between 08.00 and 18.00 hrs, Monday to Friday. Works affecting two-way traffic through the Village are restricted between 10:00 and 16:00 hours.

The first phase of the works will focus on the area around the Church of Ireland and will continue until June 2017.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and information relating to the scheme will be available at: www.dlrcoco.ie/monkstown Works are expected to be completed in November 2017.

Slit trench works will commence on North Avenue, opposite the Church on Tuesday, 2 nd May 2017 until Friday, 5th May 2017 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Slit trench works will commence on Tuesday, 2nd May 2017 until Friday, 5th May 2017 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs.

Patching works will commence on Tuesday, 2nd May 2017 until Friday, 5th May 2017 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs.

Slit trench works will commence on Tuesday, 2nd May 2017 until Friday, 5th May 2017 between 8:00 and 18:00 hrs.

The majority of works on the scheme are completed. The final works on Tivoli Terrace East and snagging works on the scheme will be on-going intermittently over the next two weeks until Friday, 12th May 2017.
