Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary Closure of Kelly’s Avenue, Dún Laoghaire
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received an application from John Sisk and Sons (Holdings) Ltd, Wilton Works, Naas Road, Dublin 22 to temporarily close Kelly’s Avenue, Dún Laoghaire from its junction with George’s Place to its junction with Crofton Road to through traffic from Monday, 21st August to Monday, 18th September 2017. The purpose of the closure is to make a new drainage connection for the new Rapid Delivery housing development at George’s Place, Dún Laoghaire. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and the diversion routes will be clearly signposted. Local Access will be maintained at all times. Any interested parties may lodge an objection in writing with the Senior Engineer, Traffic Section, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire not later than noon on 15th August, 2017 or email traffic@dlrcoco.ie

Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary Closure of Castle Street, Dalkey Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order to close Castle Street from the Church of the Assumption, Castle Street, Dalkey to Allied Irish Bank on Saturday 26th August, 2017 and Sunday 27th August, 2017 from 12 Noon to 6.00 p.m. in order to facilitate the Dalkey Lobster Festival. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate the ‘Dalkey Lobster Festival’ - a family festival to promote local seafood. A Traffic Management Plan with diversion routes will be in operation and local access will be maintained for the full duration of the event.
Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Ironman 70.3 Triathlon - Dublin Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order to temporarily close the roads listed below on Saturday 19th August, 2017 and Sunday 20th August, 2017 in order to facilitate the ‘Ironman Swim / Cycle Stage of the Ironman Event’. Section A: August 19th 2017 07:00 – 17:00 hours Otranto Place/ Marine Parade from its junction with Sandycove Avenue West to its junction with Marine Avenue. Section B: August 20th 2017 04:00 – 10:00 hours Windsor Terrace, Newtownsmith, Marine Parade, Otranto Place, Sandycove Avenue West and Sandycove Point from 04.00 hrs. to 10.00 hrs. on Sunday 20th August, 2017.

Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 DLR Bay 10K Road Race Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order to temporarily close the roads listed below on Monday 7th August, 2017 in order to facilitate a
‘10K Road Race’.
The race will take the following route: Newtownsmith, Windsor Terrace, Queen’s Road, Crofton Road, Harbour Road, Dun Leary Road, Longford Terrace, Seapoint Ave, Seafield Ave, Monkstown Rd, Carrickbrennan Rd, Mounttown Upper, Mounttown Lower, Upper Glenageary Rd, Albert Road Upper, Albert Rd, St. Catherine’s Rd, Castle Park Rd, Elton Park, Sandycove Rd, Glasthule Rd, and Link Rd. Newtownsmith, Windsor Terrace, Queens Road, Crofton Road, and Harbour Road will be closed from 06.00 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. and the remaining roads will be subject to a rolling closure as the race progresses between 9.50 a.m – 12.30 p.m. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and diversions will be signposted. Full details of the diversions will appear on our website www.dlrcoco.ie and will also be available at our public counter in Harbour Square, Crofton Road, Dún Laoghaire and in Dún Laoghaire and Blackrock Libraries.
Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary Closure of Killiney Hill Road, Killiney Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is undertaking footpath restoration works on Killiney Hill Road from the junction of Victoria Road to the junction of Stream Ville Court from Tuesday 8th August, 2017 to Friday 29th September, 2017 (inclusive). It is proposed to close Killiney Hill Road in three phases in order to facilitate footpath restoration works and to minimise disruption to traffic, local residents and local business. The three road closure phases are listed as follows: 1. Junction of Victoria Road to Strathmore Road 2. Junction of Strathmore Road to Killiney Avenue 3. Junction of Killiney Avenue to Military Road A Traffic Management Plan with diversion routes will be in operation and local access will be maintained for the full duration of the works.
Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary Closure of Sallynoggin Park Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council proposes to extend the temporary closure of Sallynoggin Park at the new Housing Development “The Mews” from 14th July 2017 to 15th September 2017 inclusive, in order to facilitate drainage connections and associated works adjacent to 49 Sallynoggin Park. Killiney Hill Road, Killiney (Phase 1 - Road Closure) ***
In order to facilitate footpath restoration works on Killiney Hill Road, Phase 1 road closure will commence on Tuesday, 8th August 2017 until Monday, 11th September 2017 between 8:00 and 18:00 hrs. PHASE1 FROM:-08th August 2017 To:-11th September 2017 KILLINEY HILL ROAD will be CLOSED From its Junction with KILLINEY ROAD to its Junction with KILLINEY AVENUE. During Phase 1 Works:1. A Manned Road Closure will be in operation during Working Hours. 2. Access / Egress will be maintained at all times for Emergency Services, local resident, businesses and Refuse collection. 3. Access to Killiney Beach and Killiney train station will remain open Via Seafield road and / or Military road from Ballybrack Village. 4. Drainage works will commence on Friday, 4th August 2017 until Saturday, 12th August 2017 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.
R118 / Wyattville Dual Carriageway, Cherrywood **** The delivery of the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone will involve significant construction works over the next 9 months in the Cherrywood area. The first phase of infrastructure provision for the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone will be delivered by JCL the joint venture between John Cradock Ltd. / Jons Civil Engineering. Major road works began on the Wyattville Dual Carriageway between M50 Junction 16 and the N11 at Cherrywood, on 9th February 2017 and will continue for the remainder of the year. The primary focus of this phase of the infrastructure works is the upgrade of the Wyattville Roundabout to a signalised junction, and upgrade of Tullyvale Road, involving road construction, road drainage, public lighting, provision of utilities, etc. Traffic restrictions will be in place for the duration and delays can be expected. It is intended to retain two lanes of traffic inbound and outbound. Please note that Pay and Display parking on Tullyvale Road will cease permanently from 1st February 2017, however, Pay and Display parking is available adjacent to the Brides Glen Luas stop, on Cherrywood Avenue Extension. From the 24th April 2017, traffic shall be reduced to 1 lane in both directions on the R118 Wyattville Link Rd between the N11 and M50 from 10am and 4pm daily. This is to facilitate the installation of new service crossings across the R118 Wyattville Link Road in multiple locations. From the 24th April 2017, it is also intended to install barriers to the median of the R118 Wyattville Link Rd (between the M50 and Cherrywood Roundabout) to facilitate works in the median. Wyattville Road Pedestrian and Cycle Scheme *** Work commenced on the Wyattville Road Pedestrian and Cycle Scheme on Monday, 8th May 2017 between 08.00 and 18.00 hrs. Monday to Friday. The scheme involves the upgrade of Wyattville Road between Wyattville Close and Churchview Road and is expected to continue until May 2018. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.
Frascati Shopping Centre Extension *** Right Turn into Shopping Centre from City Centre - Closed Straight Ahead into Shopping Centre from Rock Hill - Closed In order to facilitate the on-going extension works at Frascati Shopping Centre the existing right turn lane, on the outbound carriageway from the City Centre and the existing straight ahead movement from Rock Hill into Frascati Shopping Centre will be closed temporarily. The temporary closures of the right hand turning lane and straight ahead movement from Rock Hill are to facilitate the on-going construction process for the new underground car park. A one-way traffic management system will be implemented on site to facilitate the works. Car park attendants will be deployed at peak times within the shopping centre to ensure that shopping centre traffic operates smoothly during the period of the development works. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works. Diversions will be in place to direct traffic towards the shopping centre entrance at the end of Georges Avenue.
Monkstown Village Improvement Scheme *** Work commenced on the Monkstown Village Improvement Scheme on Monday, 24th April 2017 between 08.00 and 18.00 hrs. - Monday to Friday. Works affecting two-way traffic through the Village are restricted between 10:00 and 16:00 hours. The current phase of works is along the south side of Carrickbrennan Road up to Goggins Pub. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and information relating to the scheme will be available at: www.dlrcoco.ie/monkstown
Cherrywood Estate ** Footpath and road restoration works on Cherrywood will commence Monday, 31st July 2017 until Thursday, 31st August 2017 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs.
