Harbour2Harbour Walk on St. Patrick’s Day *** th
The 13 Annual Aware Harbour2Harbour Walk will take place on St. Patrick’s Day. The walk will see up to 2,000 people walk from Dún Laoghaire to Howth Harbour or reverse, to raise funds for mental health organisation Aware. No road closures or traffic restrictions are in place, public footpaths will be used by participants at all times. Participants will begin the walk from their chosen start point (Dún Laoghaire or Howth) from 10am and all will have arrived to their final destination by 5.30pm latest.
PROPOSED ROAD CLOSURE
Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Military Road, Killiney Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council has received an application from Gas Networks Ireland to temporarily close Military Road Killiney from its junction with Killiney Hill Road and Military Road to its junction with Seafield Road and Military Road from Tuesday 20th March, 2018 to Wednesday 21st March, 2018 inclusive. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate Gasworks. A Traffic Management Plan with diversion routes will be in operation and local access will be maintained for the full duration of the works.
