Harbour2Harbour Walk on St. Patrick’s Day *** The 13th Annual Aware Harbour2Harbour Walk will take place on St. Patrick’s Day. The walk will see up to 2,000 people walk from Dún Laoghaire to Howth Harbour or reverse, to raise funds for mental health organisation Aware. No road closures or traffic restrictions are in place, public footpaths will be used by participants at all times. Participants will begin the walk from their chosen start point (Dún Laoghaire or Howth) from 10am and all will have arrived to their final destination by 5.30pm latest.

Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of the access road into St. Anne’s Square, Temple Road, Blackrock, Co. Dublin
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received an application from Bracegrade Limited, Taney Hall, Eglinton Terrace, Dundrum, Dublin 14 to temporarily close the access road into St Anne's Square, Temple Road Blackrock to vehicular traffic on Wednesday the 14th March 2018. The purpose of the closure is to allow service connections to facilitate the delivery of housing development at Temple Road, Blackrock, Co. Dublin. Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Military Road, Killiney Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received an application from Gas Networks Ireland to temporarily close Military Road Killiney from its junction with Killiney Hill Road and Military Road to its junction with Seafield Road and Military Road from Tuesday 20th March, 2018 to Wednesday 21st March, 2018 inclusive. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate Gasworks. A Traffic Management Plan with diversion routes will be in operation and local access will be maintained for the full duration of the works. Section 75, Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Monkstown Roundabout, Stradbrook Road (part of), Abbey Road, Monkstown Avenue, Link Road Deansgrange Road (Night works) Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received an application to close Monkstown Roundabout, Stradbrook Road (part of), Abbey Road, Monkstown Avenue, Link Road Deansgrange Road between the hours of 7pm and 6am from Monday 26th March to Sunday 8th April 2018 inclusive, in order to facilitate road restoration works by the Roads Maintenance Section, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. The proposed diversion routes are via Deansgrange Road – Kill Lane – Kill Avenue – Mounttown Road Lower – Mounttown Road Upper and Carrickbrennan Road – Monkstown Road – Stradbrook Road – Deansgrange Road. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and local access will be maintained. Section 75, Roads Act, 1993 Extension of Temporary (Periodic) Road Closure, Kelly’s Avenue, Dún Laoghaire Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received an application from John Sisk and Sons (Holdings) Ltd), Wilton Works, Naas Road, Dublin 22, to extend the temporary closure of Kelly’s Avenue, Dún Laoghaire, from its junction with George’s Place to its junction with Crofton Road to through traffic until Tuesday 12th June, 2018. The road will not be closed continuously during this period. Closures will be periodic and residents will be notified at least three days in advance in each instance. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate works relating to the new Rapid Delivery housing development at George’s Place, Dún Laoghaire. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and the diversion routes will be clearly signposted. Local Access will be maintained at all times.
Section 75, Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Cornelscourt Hill, Cabinteely Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Road Maintenance Section, proposes to temporarily close a section of Cornelscourt Hill from the junction with Gort na Mona Drive to the roundabout at the entrance to Park Drive, Cabinteely. The closure will be from 8.00 a.m. on Saturday 17th March to 7.00 p.m. on Monday 19th March, 2018. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate culvert re-construction and drainage works across the roadway on Cornelscourt Hill. The proposed Traffic Diversion will be via Brighton Road, Westminster Road, N11 DualCarriageway and Bray Road and vice versa. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and the diversion route clearly signposted. Local access will be maintained at all times.

Section 75, Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Kellystown Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16 Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council proposes to temporarily close Kellystown Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16. The proposed closure will be from Tuesday 20th March, 2018 to Friday 13th April, 2018. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate drainage works between the junction with Ticknock Road and “Briarwood”. The proposed traffic diversion will be via Ticknock Road and Harold’s Grange Road and vice versa. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and the diversion clearly signposted. Local access to Kellystown Road, via College Road/Harold’s Grange Road junction will be maintained at all times.
Section 75, Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Bath Place and Main Street, Blackrock Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council proposes to temporarily close Main Street, Blackrock from its junction with Bath Place to traffic lights at Temple Road and Carysfort Avenue, Blackrock to through traffic on Saturday 17th March, 2018 from 12 noon to 3.30 p.m. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate St. Patrick’s Day festivities for the local community including a road race. The proposed diversion route will be signposted and details of the plan will be available on our website www.dlrcoco.ie. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and the diversion routes will be clearly signposted.
Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Enniskerry Road, Stepaside Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received an application from the Stepaside Business Association for the temporary closure of a section of Enniskerry Road, from the junction with Burrow Road southwards through Stepaside Village to the junction with Glenamuck Road South from 12 noon to 5.00 p.m. on Saturday 17th March, 2018. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate a St. Patrick’s Day Parade and associated events in Stepaside Village. Diversion of traffic will be via Hillcrest Road, Kilgobbin Road, Ballyogan Road and Glenamuck Road South and vice versa. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and the diversion routes will be clearly signposted.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation to facilitate the disassembly of a tower crane on the following dates and times: 8.00pm on Saturday 10th March to 9.00am on Sunday 11th March 2018 and 8.00pm on Sunday 11th March to 6.00am on Monday 12th March 2018. The Traffic lights at the junction of the Old Dublin Road and Kilmacud Road Lower will be switched off to accommodate the works and a Stop and Go will be in place.

Sallynoggin Road - between O’Rourke Park and Rochestown Avenue ***
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received an application from Clancy to close one lane of Sallynoggin Road between O’Rourke Park and Rochestown Avenue from 10:00 on Monday 12th March 2018 to 16:00 hrs. on Friday 23rd March 2018. The purpose of the closure is to enable a new electricity supply to be installed to Rochestown House - Phase 3. The proposed diversion route will be signposted and details of the plan will be available on our website www.dlrcoco.ie. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and traffic lights will be used for the duration of the works.

Works are well advanced on the delivery of the first phase of the road infrastructure for the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone by JCL, the joint venture between John Cradock Ltd. and Jons Civil Engineering. Road surfacing works will be undertaken as follows:

Wyattville Road Pedestrian and Cycle Scheme *** (Night Works)
Work commenced on the Wyattville Road Pedestrian and Cycle Scheme on Monday, 8th May 2017 between 08.00 and 18.00 hrs. - Monday to Friday. The scheme involves the upgrade of Wyattville Road between Wyattville Close and Churchview Road and is substantially completed. Snagging works are expected to be completed in March 2018. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.
Ballybetagh Road ** Public lighting works will commence on Monday, 26th February 2018 until Thursday, 15th March 2018. A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the work.
Grange Road, Ballinteer ** Ducting and cable laying works will commence on Monday, 12th February 2018 until Friday, 23rd March 2018 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. and 18:00 – 23:00 hrs. (if required). A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the work.
N11 – Northbound between the Clonkeen and Johnstown Junctions ** Public lighting column and lantern upgrade works will commence on Monday, 29th January 2018 until Friday, 27th April 2018 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. and 19:30 – Midnight (if required).
