Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Castle Street, Dalkey
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received an application to temporarily close Castle Street from Allied Irish Bank to The Church of the Assumption, Castle Street, Dalkey on Saturday 16th June, 2018 and Sunday 17th June, 2018 from 12 Noon to 6.00 p.m. in order to promote Dalkey Book Festival. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate the street festival run in conjunction with Dalkey Book Festival and to bring a festival atmosphere for community and visitors. A Traffic Management Plan with diversion routes will be in operation and local access will be maintained for the full duration of the event. Any interested party may lodge an objection in writing with the Senior Engineer, Traffic Section, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown-County Council or email traffic@dlrcoco.ie not later than noon on Wednesday 23rd May, 2018.
Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of R138 Stillorgan Road (Fosters Avenue) Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council proposes to temporarily close R138 Stillorgan Road from Fosters Avenue to Belfield Bridge on 3rd June from 13.30pm to 16.30pm, in order to facilitate the running of the Women’s Mini Marathon. The proposed diversion route is via Fosters Avenue and Roebuck Road. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and the diversion route will be signposted. Page 1 of 6
Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Burma Road, Killiney Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council proposes to temporarily close Burma Road, Killiney (access Road to Killiney Hill Park) from Dalkey Avenue to Killiney Hill Park between the hours of 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. from 18th June, 2018 to 6th July, 2018 inclusive, in order to facilitate road reconstruction work on Saval Park Roundabout by the Roads Maintenance Section, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and local access will be maintained at all times. Any interested party may lodge an objection in writing with the Senior Engineer, Traffic Section, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire before noon on 11th June, 2018 or email to traffic@dlrcoco.ie

Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Sweetman’s Avenue, Blackrock Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order to temporarily close Sweetman’s Avenue from Temple Road to Frascati Road between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 16.00 p.m. from 21st May, 2018 to 22nd May, 2018, in order to facilitate a gas connection to 7/9 Sweetman’s Avenue. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and local access will be maintained at all times.
Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Red Bull Flugtag Dublin Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order to temporarily close the Queen’s Road and Park Road on Sunday 20th May, 2018 between the hours of 11.30am and 5.30pm in order to facilitate the Red Bull Flugtag Event. Queen’s Road will be closed from the junction with Marine Road to the junction with Park Road. Park Road will be closed from the Junction with Queen’s Road to the junction with George’s Street Upper. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and diversions will be signposted.

Section 75, Roads Act, 1993 Extension of Temporary (Periodic) Road Closure, Kelly’s Avenue, Dún Laoghaire Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received an application from John Sisk and Sons (Holdings) Ltd), Wilton Works, Naas Road, Dublin 22, to extend the temporary closure of Kelly’s Avenue, Dún Laoghaire, from its junction with George’s Place to its junction with Crofton Road to through traffic until Tuesday 12th June, 2018. The road will not be closed continuously during this period. Closures will be periodic and residents will be notified at least three days in advance in each instance. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate works relating to the new Rapid Delivery housing development at George’s Place, Dún Laoghaire. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and the diversion routes will be clearly signposted. Local Access will be maintained at all times.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Road Maintenance Section plans to carry out essential road patching and overlay work on the junction of Tivoli Road/York Road/Mounttown Road Upper/Mounttown Road Lower from Tuesday, 22nd May 2018 to Thursday, 24th May 2018 between 19:00 and 06:00 hrs. and on Knapton Road on Friday, 25th May 2018 and Monday, 28th May 2018 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place.

George’s Street Upper / Stoneview Place, Dún Laoghaire *** As part of the 2018 Footpath Restoration programme, works will commence on George’s Street Upper / Stoneview Place during the week commencing Monday, 7th May 2018 for duration of 4 weeks between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place.
Windsor Terrace – Dún Laoghaire Baths Redevelopment *** Construction commenced on the redevelopment of the Baths site on Monday 23rd April 2018. Construction is programmed to be completed by Q1 2020. Works will be required on the sea side path of Windsor Terrace between Park Road and the car park to facilitate the installation of ducting and the erection of the hoarding. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of these works and lane restrictions will be between 10:00-16:00 hrs. Monday – Friday for approximately 6 weeks. Once these works are completed the construction will be confined within the site.

Ashlawn Park (Estate) ** A Topographical Survey will be undertaken on Ashlawn Park (Estate) on Wednesday, 14 th May 2018 until Monday, 28th May 2018 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place.
Corke Abbey ** As part of the 2018 Footpath Restoration programme works will commence on Corke Abbey, during the week commencing Monday, 14th May 2018 for duration of 4 weeks between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place.
Deerpark Road, Mount Merrion (Mount Anville Road end) ** Public lighting column and lantern upgrade works will commence on Tuesday, 8th May 2018 until Thursday, 28th June 2018 (intermittently). A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the work.
Shanganagh Road, Shankill ** Construction of a new footpath (which impacts on northbound traffic lane) will commence on Tuesday, 8th May 2018 until Friday, 6th July 2018 between 09:30 and 16:30 hrs. A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in place.
N11 – Northbound between the Clonkeen and Johnstown Junctions ** Public lighting column and lantern upgrade works will continue until Friday, 27th July 2018 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. and 19:30 – Midnight (if required). A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the work.
