PROPOSED ROAD CLOSURE

Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Roads within Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council for the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon 2018 Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received a request from the Race Director, SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon, 2018 for the temporary closure of the following roads within the Council’s Administrative area:1. 2. 3. 4.

Clonskeagh Road Roebuck Road Foster’s Avenue Stillorgan Road (R138 Dual Carriageway), North from junction with Foster’s Avenue and via the UCD Flyover to the Dublin City County Boundary.

The Roads will be closed from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on Sunday 28th October, 2018, to facilitate the Marathon and to allow sufficient time for a clean-up to be completed before re-opening the roads to traffic. Manning of the Road Closures and the diversion of Traffic will be under the Control of the Gardaí and race organisers and diversions will be clearly signposted. Local access will be maintained as far as possible. Any interested party may lodge an objection in writing with the Senior Engineer, Traffic Section, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin or email info@dlrcoco.ie on or before Wednesday 17th October, 2018.

ROAD CLOSURES

Section 75, Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Monkstown Road, Clifton Lane Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order to close Monkstown Road from Monkstown Village to the junction with Temple Hill Road from: Tuesday, 7thAugust 2018 to Tuesday, 30th October 2018. The closure is to facilitate Road/Footpath restoration and associated works on Monkstown Road and Clifton Lane. Diversion routes will be via N31 (Old Dunleary Road, Longford Terrace, Seapoint Avenue) and York Road, Mounttown Road Upper, Monkstown Avenue, Stradbrook Road, Frascati Road. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and local access will be maintained. Monkstown Road will be reopened earlier, if progress with the works allows.

Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Tivoli Terrace East, Dún Laoghaire Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council has made an order to temporarily close Tivoli Terrace East, Dún Laoghaire from the junction of Tivoli Terrace South to the junction of Tivoli Terrace North from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on Monday 8th October, 2018 to Thursday 11th October 2018 inclusive, in order to dismantle a crane. The proposed diversions routes will be signposted. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and local access will be maintained.

N11 - Resurfacing ***

Resurfacing works, between Cabinteely footbridge outbound to Kilbogget, will commence on Sunday, 7th and Monday, 8th October 2018 between 19:00 and 06:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Highridge Green, Kilmacud **

Resurfacing works will commence on Friday, 5th October 2018 until Saturday, 6th October 2018 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Carmanhall Road – Junction of Carrig Road and Ballymoss Road **

Works will commence on Saturday, 6th October 2018 and Sunday, 7th October 2018 between 09:00 and 17:00 hrs. to facilitate the erection of a crane. A Stop / Go System will be in place.

College Road /Harold Grange Road Junction **

Public lighting lantern upgrade works will commence on Monday, 8th October 2018 until Friday, 19th October 2018 (intermittent) between 10:00 – 16:00 and 19:00 – 23:00 hrs. (if required). A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the work.

N11 – Northbound between Knocksinna and Westminster Junctions **

Public lighting column and lantern upgrade works will commence on Monday, 15th October 2018 until Tuesday, 30th October 2018. Work will be carried out between the hours of 10:00 - 16:00 hrs. and 19:30 – Midnight (if required). A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the work.

N11 – Southbound between Knocksinna and Westminster Junctions **

Public lighting column and lantern upgrade works will commence on Monday, 15th October 2018 until Tuesday, 30th October 2018. Work will be carried out between the hours of 10:00 - 16:00 and 19:30 – Midnight (if required). A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the work.

Fosters Avenue - at the junction with North Avenue **

To facilitate the installation of a footpath and moving traffic lights for junction upgrade works, work will be carried out on Wednesday, 10th October 2018 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in place.

Blackthorn Avenue, Sandyford *

Public lighting column and lantern upgrade works will commence on Monday, 8th October 2018 until Thursday, 11th October 2018. A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation as required.

Monkstown Road – Road Closure ***

Road/Footpath Restoration and associated works commenced on Tuesday, 7th August 2018 until Friday, 30th October 2018 between 08:00 and 19:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan and signed detours will be in operation and local access will be maintained.

Queen’s Road, Dún Laoghaire – between East Pier and Park Road ***

Snagging works will continue until Friday, 12th October 2018 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in place.

Windsor Terrace – Dún Laoghaire Baths Redevelopment *** Construction commenced on the redevelopment of the Baths site on Monday, 23rd April 2018. Construction is programmed to be completed by Q1 2020. During October, the core of the pier construction will be completed. Works to the shelter will commence. Demolition will be completed and internal construction of the building will Page 4 of 6


commence. There should be no Traffic Management restrictions on Windsor Terrace with the exception of the delivery of materials, which will be short term and between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. Monday – Friday.

Lower Kilmacud Road *** at the junctions of South Avenue and Upper Kilmacud Road Upgrade of existing junctions commenced on Monday, 3rd September 2018. Permanent Traffic Management is in place until the end of November. Any lane restrictions required will be in place from 10:00 to 16:00 hrs. daily.

Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock *** Road surface and footpath restoration works (Phase 1) commenced on Monday, 17th September 2018 for 4-weeks between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and local access will be maintained.

Belarmine, Stepaside ** Gas main installation works will commence on Wednesday, 3rd October 2018 for 6-weeks between 09:30 and 16:30 hrs. A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in place.

Public Lighting Lantern and Bracket Upgrade Works ** Public lighting lantern and bracket upgrade works will take place on: 1. Glenageary Road Lower 2. Deansgrange Road 3. Blackthorn Drive 4. Pearse Park-Estate 5. Clonskeagh Road 6. Leopardstown Road 7. Kilmacud Road Lower 8. Cornelscourt Hill 9. Avoca Ave 10. Monkstown Ring Road 11. Stradbrook Road 12. Sandyford Road These works will continue until Friday, 21st December 2018. A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation as required.
