Harbour2Harbour Walk on St. Patrick’s Day ***

The 14th Annual ‘AWARE’ Harbour2Harbour Walk will take place on St. Patrick’s Day. The walk will see up to 2,000 people walk from Dún Laoghaire to Howth Harbour or reverse, to raise funds for mental health organisation ‘Aware’. No road closures or traffic restrictions are in place, public footpaths will be used by participants at all times. Participants will begin the walk from their chosen start point (Dún Laoghaire or Howth) from 10am and all will have arrived to their final destination by 5.30pm latest.

Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Shanganagh Road, Shankill

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council proposes to temporarily close Shanganagh Road, Shankill from Shanganagh Wood to Common’s Road between the hours of 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. from 22nd April, 2019 to 26th April, 2019 inclusive, in order to facilitate road patching works on Shanganagh Road by the Roads Maintenance Section, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council proposes to temporarily close Killiney Avenue from Church Road to Killiney Heath between the hours of 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. from Monday 15th April, 2019 to Friday 19th April, 2019. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate Road patching works at Killiney Avenue by the Roads Maintenance Section. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and the diversion routes will be clearly signposted. Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Main Street, Blackrock

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order to temporarily close Main Street, Blackrock from its junction with Bath Place to traffic lights at Temple Road and Carysfort Avenue, Blackrock to through traffic on Sunday 17th March, 2019 from 12 noon to 3.30 p.m. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate St. Patrick’s Day festivities for the local community including a road race. The proposed diversion route will be signposted and details of the plan will be available on our website www.dlrcoco.ie. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and the diversion routes will be clearly signposted.

Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Enniskerry Road, Stepaside

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order to temporarily close off a section of Enniskerry Road, from the junction with Burrow Road southwards through Stepaside Village to the junction with Glenamuck Road South from 1.30 p.m.to 6.00 p.m. on Sunday 17th March, 2019. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate a St. Patrick’s Day Parade and associated events in Stepaside Village. Diversion of traffic will be via Hillcrest Road, Kilgobbin Road, Ballyogan Road and Glenamuck Road South and vice versa. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and the diversion routes will be clearly signposted.

ROADWORKS / LANE RESTRICTIONS

Corbawn Lane, Shankill **

Works will commence on Monday, 11th March 2019 until Friday, 22nd March 2019 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. in order to connect main foul sewer on Corbawn Lane. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation. The works and the Traffic Management will be removed for the St. Patrick’s Day Bank Holiday weekend.

Clonskeagh Road *** from Leinster Lawn to Whitethorn Road

Upgrade of pedestrian and cycling facilities along Clonskeagh Road will commence on Monday, 4th March 2019. Permanent Traffic Management will be in place until end of June 2019 with lane closures between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. on weekdays.

Lower Kilmacud Road, Stillorgan ***

Ducting works will take place on Saturday, 9th March 2019 between 05:30 and 15:00 hrs. A Traffic Management system will be in place.

Wyattville Road, Druid Valley, Cherrywood **

Cycle Track improvement works will be undertaken on the Wyattville Road, Druid Valley at bus stop 5047 on Wednesday, 13th March 2019 until Friday, 12th April 2019 between 09:00 and 17:00 hrs. A Traffic Management system will be in place.

Monkstown Road, Queen’s Park, Brighton Avenue and Clifton Lane, Monkstown **

Snagging works will continue until Friday, 15th March 2019 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.

One South County Business Park, Leopardstown * To facilitate the removal of a crane on the two-way road between South County Business Park and the Leopardstown Road on Saturday, 9th March 2019 until Sunday, 10th March 2019 between 09:00 and 17:00 hrs. A Traffic Management System will be in place.

Lower Kilmacud Road *** at the junctions of South Avenue and Upper Kilmacud Road Upgrade of existing junctions commenced on Monday, 3rd September 2018. Permanent Traffic Management is in place until end of March 2019.

N11 Cabinteely (closure of bus lane – north bound carriageway only) *** Works will commence on Tuesday, 26th February 2019 to construct a new signalised junction and construction of 135 m of new Druid’s Glen Road until autumn 2019. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Village Road, Aiken’s Village, Stepaside ** Works will commence on Monday, 4th March 2019 until Monday, 11th March 2019 between 09:30 and 16:30 for the realignment of site entrance. A Traffic Management and Pedestrian Plan will be in operation.

Public Lighting Lantern and Bracket Upgrade Works ** Public lighting lantern and bracket upgrade works will take place on: 1. Glenageary Road Lower 2. Deansgrange Road 3. Blackthorn Drive 4. Brewery Road. 5. Clonskeagh Road 6. Leopardstown Road 7. Glenageary Road upper 8. York Road, 9. Brennanstown Road. 10. Sandyford Business Park. These works will continue until Friday, 29th March 2019. A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation as required.

Lower Kilmacud Road, Old Dublin Road, Allen Park Road ** Water main construction works commenced on Monday, 14th January 2019 and will continue until Sunday, 14th April 2019 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

N11 – Inbound between Brewery Road and Newtownpark Avenue Junctions ** Upgrading of public lighting columns and lanterns will commence on Monday, 28th January 2019 until Friday, 31st May 2019 (intermittent). Working hours 10:00 – 16:00 and 19:30 – Midnight (if required). A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.

N11 – Outbound between Brewery Road and Newtownpark Avenue Junctions ** Upgrading of public lighting columns and lanterns will commence on Monday, 28th January 2019 until Friday, 31st May 2019 (intermittent). Working hours 10:00 – 16:00 and 19:30 – Midnight (if required). A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.

Windsor Terrace – Dún Laoghaire Baths Redevelopment ** Construction commenced on the redevelopment of the Baths site on Monday, 23rd April 2018. Construction is programmed to be completed by Q1 2020. During February / March, pier construction and the internal construction of the building will continue. The retaining works to Queen’s Road will be completed and construction on a new sea wall will commence. There should be no Traffic Management restrictions on Windsor Terrace with the exception of the delivery of materials, which will be short term and between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. Monday – Friday.

Maple Avenue/Spruce Avenue/Holly Avenue/Rowan Avenue * Public lighting column, lantern and cabling upgrade works will take place between 7th January 2019 and 22nd March 2019. Working hours 09:00 - 16:00. (Night works if required). A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.
