Reply: Attached are the details of the tree planting programmes undertaken by DLR since 2015. These are a mix of native and introduced, and were planted in various locations, including streets, roadside margins, parks and open spaces, Every effort is made to procure and plant trees of the highest quality and'produced and grown in Irish nurseries. Plans for next year's (2018) planting is usually informed over the course of the year via cr'm's, along with reviews of our existing park and open spaces requirements. The Ezytree tree inventory software is a key component of Dfun ru"ghjii" R"inJo*n County.Council's approach to the management of over 45,000 street trees and it is planned over the next two years to move from a reactive maintenance regime to a proactive evidence based management of tree stock.
This will further lead to providing detailed evidence based information on the amenity value of the existing tree stock, and will inform future tree planting programmes particularly in relation to their importance in the context of Climate Change, particulate pollution and flood attenuation.
