Agenda Item 22 MEETING OF DÚN LAOGHAIRE AREA COMMITTEE 22nd September 2014 SUNDAY MARKETS AND STREET CLEANING IN DÚN LAOGHAIRE
Question: Councillor M. Merrigan “To ask the Chief Executive to ensure that the Council’s road-sweeping and cleansing schedules are operating in a manner that will permanently remove the current and unacceptable necessity for the residents on the roads adjacent to the People’s Park in Dún Laoghaire and, in particular, Rosmeen Park and Rosmeen Gardens, to clean up their own streets of plastic cups, food containers, wrapping paper and other food rubbish deposited by persons parking in these areas to attend the County Council operated Sunday Markets in the People’s Park?” Reply: The manual sweeper that sweeps Dun Laoghaire has been asked to visit these areas on Monday morning to clean up any waste that may have been left over from people visiting the peoples Park Sunday Market.
