Aegean Odyssey combines the best of traditional cruising with all the modern conveniences of a first-class ship. Classically elegant, but far from stuffy, she also provides wonderful service and an intimate atmosphere on board. Carrying around 350 guests, Aegean Odyssey’s advantage is her size, and the ability to visit ports too small for larger vessels, navigate close to scenic islands, and even cruise inland.

EXPERIENCE THE BEST OF A taste of the world The gastronomic culture of using the very best fresh local ingredients cooked in a simple but delicious style is the inspiration for the menus on board Aegean Odyssey. The elegant Marco Polo Restaurant has full waiter service and a casual countryclub elegance. The Terrace Cafe offers a combination of indoor and outdoor seating replicating the charm and ambience of a seaside trattoria. Refresh the body as well as the mind On board you will enjoy a programme of lectures and discussions, designed to bring to life the wonderful sites you visit on your journey. There will normally be a number of guest speakers on your cruise, each with different areas of expertise.

SMALL-SHIP CRUISING morning yoga sessions to set you up for the day. Before dinner, enjoy a drink in the Charleston Lounge or watch the sun go down from The Terrace Cafe. In some ports we organise local entertainment to perform on board. The library is beautifully appointed and well-stocked. Newspapers are delivered via satellite and are available in the library. CLASSICAL CIVILISATIONS Combine the natural wonders and

IN THE FARE Italy

Sailing between two iconic cities and with a twonight hotel stay in each, the trip begins in that most picturesque of cities, Venice, where you will experience a private tour of St Mark's Basilica. Since its first incarnation as the 7th-century BC Greek colony of Byzantium, no other city has played a more important role in the fortunes of the eastern Mediterranean than Istanbul and it is here, most fittingly, that this journey ends.

TRAVEL WITH THE EXPERTS Philip Hurst is a very popular lecturer on world affairs, geopolitics and modern history. After several decades practising international law, his focus is now history, with a particular interest in modern states in transition, from colony to independence and from dictatorship to democracy. Formerly Deputy Director of The Australian Institute of International Affairs in Canberra, and Counsel at The World Bank in Washington DC, Philip is a distinguished Anglo-Australian international and constitutional lawyer. Since withdrawing from legal practice, Philip devotes his time to lecturing at sea, historical research and writing. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, London (F.R.G.S.), and now lives in Zahara de la Sierra, near Seville, Spain.

EXPLORE THE SPLENDOURS OF VENICE Whether you are seeing the great sites of Venice for the first time or revisiting them, there is no better way to explore the city than with a morning’s walking tour. During your two-night hotel stay there is also an exclusive evening visit to St Mark's Basilica which is not to be missed. DALMATIA’S NATURAL AND ANCIENT WONDERS The ship winds its way through the breathtaking beauty of the Kornati Islands en route to Split for a morning tour of one of the greatest of all Roman sites, the Palace of Diocletian. Said to be the birthplace of Marco Polo, the pine-forested island of Korcula is home to some splendid Venetian architecture. After cruising past the beautiful islands of Hvar and Brac, the ship arrives at Dubrovnik in time for an evening ashore. The next morning, see the magnificent fortifications and the cathedral. Heading south down the Croatian coast, our sail around the stunning Bay of Kotor in Montenegro, known as Europe’s southernmost fjord, is a memorable experience. ELEGANT CORFU TO ANCIENT OLYMPIA With cricket still played on the green, the legacy of British rule is evident in Corfu Town as you will see during this morning’s tour. Next is the port of Preveza and a visit to the magnificent Byzantine sites near the town of Arta. Then cruise the Ionian Sea en route to Ithaca where you will be able to

Mykonos, Greek Islands

spend the evening in the charming port of Vathy. Arrive the next morning at the port of Katakolon for a tour of ancient Olympia, site of the first Olympic Games and believed to be the home of Zeus. CLASSICAL GREECE & ATHENS Inhabited since the Neolithic age, Pylos is a treasure trove of historical sites and in 1827 its bay was the site of the Battle of Navarino. Then on to Monemvasia for a walking tour of the beautiful lower town. The final island call before Athens is Hydra, long a tranquil haven for wealthy Athenians and perhaps the most charming of all Greek islands. Enjoy a guided tour of Athens’ ancient sites including the Acropolis and its wonderful Museum. A GREEK ISLAND ODYSSEY: FROM DELOS TO RHODES The island of Delos is one of the most interesting archaeological sites in Greece. Nearby Mykonos, with its lively cafes and shops, is the perfect contrast. Among the Aegean's most spectacular sights are the cliffs of Santorini rising from a great half-moon caldera. Here you’ll visit Akrotiri, an ancient Minoan outpost with the remains of a sophisticated civilisation dating back to the 16th century BC. The most famous archaeological site on Kos is the Asklepeion, a temple to Asklepios, the god of health. The next port of call is Rhodes and a chance to explore the Citadel of the Knights of St John and the Acropolis at Lindos.

Grand Bazaar, Istanbul

TROY, EPHESUS & TURKEY From Fethiye visit the ruins of the ancient city of Patara including the impressive agora, while from Izmir you’ll visit some of the most spectacular sites of antiquity: Ephesus contains the largest collection of Roman ruins in the eastern Mediterranean and Pergamon once rivalled Athens and Alexandria as a centre of culture and learning. The siege of Troy has fired the imagination of poets over thousands of years. Alternatively, take a ferry across the Dardanelles to the moving memorials of Gallipoli. End your cruise holiday with a 2-night hotel stay in Istanbul where sightseeing takes in the Byzantine 6thcentury cathedral of Hagia Sophia, the Topkapi Palace and the Blue Mosque. You are then free to explore the city at your own pace.

Welcome to Morocco

Overnight hotel stay in Marrakesh

MOROCCO: TANGIER TO AGADIR In Tangier your tour includes the caves of Hercules – a place of stunning natural beauty and where Hercules is said to have rested after finishing his 12 labours – and the Kasbah. Leave Casablanca by road for Rabat; en route visit the Hassan II Mosque, the second largest mosque outside of Saudi Arabia. Located on the Atlantic coastline, Rabat is Morocco’s capital and highlights here include the Kasbah of the Oudaias, the Royal Palace, and the old town founded by the Carthaginians, conquered by the Romans and later settled by the Arabs. Then to Marrakesh with its famous medina and bustling Djemaa el-Fna Square. Continue on to Agadir to rejoin Aegean Odyssey. FROM THE CANARY ISLANDS TO THE WESTERN SAHARA DESERT Head inland from Las Palmas to discover Gran Canaria's spectacular but little visited interior including the Bandama Crater and the historic city of Arucas with its charming Marquise's Gardens. From the port of Dakhla, once capital of the Spanish province of Rio de Oro, you’ll journey through one of the world’s great unspoiled desert landscapes with its authentic nomadic lifestyle and view the wildlife surrounding a beautiful lagoon. REMOTE ISLANDS OF THE ATLANTIC OCEAN Enjoy the African feel to Praia, capital of the Cape Verde island of Sao Tiago. Travel to the old Portuguese capital of Cidade Velha

Namibia’s skeleton coast

with its fort, cathedral and colonial houses. The island of Sao Tome, another former Portuguese colony, has many interesting sites including the National Museum, lively city market and the chance to visit a plantation. Spend a day relaxing and enjoying tropical beach life at the exoticallynamed resort of Bom Bom on the island of Principe. CROSSING THE LINE Just South of the island of Principe, Aegean Odyssey crosses the Equator, An old Navy tradition when you cross the equator by sea is the "Line Crossing Ceremony" which is held by King Neptune himself. Until you cross the Equator you are known in Navy terms as a Pollywog (or Tadpole) and you must be cleansed of your misdemeanours at sea before you can become a trusty Shellback! Participation in the celebrations is entirely voluntary but those who put themselves forward receive a certificate as well as the memorable experience of the Captain smashing an egg on their head! ANGOLA AND NAMIBIA’S SKELETON COAST Once known as the “Paris of Africa”, Luanda has suffered a traumatic recent history and this tour will reveal a city beginning to regain its confidence. See the Palacio de Ferro designed by Gustav Eiffel, the colonial suburb of Cidade Alta and visit the fascinating Angolan National Museum. Your first port in Namibia is Walvis Bay from where you take the short but scenic (sand tunes on one side, the rolling Atlantic

Western Sahara Desert

on the other) drive to the colonial town of Swakopmund. Return to the Walvis Bay Lagoon renowned for its marine and bird life. Further down the coast is Luderitz a town of history and charm. Founded by Bremen merchant Adolf Luderitz in 1883, your walking tour will take in the remarkable colonial architecture and the Luderitz Museum that tells the town’s story as a diamond port. 3 DAYS IN HISTORIC CAPE TOWN “To us on Robben Island, Table Mountain was a beacon of hope. A TASTE OF CAPE TOWN Set against the backdrop of the iconic Table Mountain, the beauty of Cape Town never ceases to take the breath away. Your stay in this city will include a trip up Table Mountain, the opportunity to see Mandela’s cell on Robben Island and to tour the Stellenbosch Valley including a wine tasting. ON SAFARI The Addo Elephant Park is the first of your game reserve safaris and features the park’s namesake African elephants. At Hluhluwe Game Reserve as well as the chance to get up close to many beautiful species, the stand out attraction is the park’s population of rare white rhinos. A different experience awaits at St Lucia Wetland Reserve as you cruise the lake in search of hippo and crocodiles. This park also boasts an incredible variety of birdlife. TROPICAL ISLANDS Mayotte, in the crescent-shaped Comoros archipelago, is encircled by a barrier reef and blessed with one of the world's perfect lagoons. Exotic trees edge the border of white sand beaches on the beautiful Seychelles islands: on granite-peaked Mahe there is a quaint charm to the capital Victoria while La Digue is home to many rare species of birds. Praslin, sanctuary for the rare black parrot, is one of only two places in the world able to grow the famous Coco-de-Mer palm tree. After cruising through the Maldives, enjoy a barbecue on the sandy beaches of the uninhabited island of Kuda Bandos.

Spices of Madras

SRI LANKA – PEARL OF THE INDIAN OCEAN A jewel of an island, Sri Lanka offers a unique combination of scenery, culture and history. Although Colombo is a thriving modern city, it has not lost its Old World charm and this contrast will become apparent as you see the colourful Pettah Bazaar and visit the Asokaramaya Buddhist temple with its incredible murals. The final destination in Sri Lanka is Galle, home to the well-preserved 17th century Dutch fort. INDIA & THE ANDAMAN ISLANDS Chennai, formerly known as Madras, was founded nearly 400 years ago and your tour will include Fort St George, built by the East India Company in 1640. Situated in the Bay of Bengal, the Andaman Islands were an important British naval base and penal colony. Its capital Port Blair is home to the Andaman's historic monuments and museums. BURMA – LAND OF GOLDEN TEMPLES Gentle and humorous people, monumental golden statues of the Buddha and a sense of travelling back in time to the days of old Asia are just some of the experiences that will greet you in Myanmar (Burma). Berthed in the heart of Yangon (Rangoon), you will have plenty of time to explore the many highlights including the aweinspiring golden Shwedagon pagoda with its 320-foot-high stupa that is covered in genuine gold plates. There’s also a full day excursion to Bago or you may choose to take an optional excursion by air to Mandalay or Bagan.

Vibrant Singapore

THAILAND, MALAYSIA & SINGAPORE From Phuket, a local boat will take you to the natural wonders of the Phi Phi Islands. Penang was part of the Malay Sultanate until 1786, when Captain Francis Light built a fort at the site of present-day Georgetown and managed to get the island ceded to the British East India Company. Malacca was the centre of the Malay world in the 15th and 16th centuries. Its rich colonial history will come to life as you tour the ruined Portuguese fort “A Famosa,” St Paul’s Church that overlooks the Malacca Strait, and Dutch Square. Finally enjoy a two-night hotel stay in Singapore, one of the great modern cities of Asia.

The rich history of Malacca will come to life as you tour the main colonial sites including the ruined Portuguese fort “A Famosa,” St Paul’s Church and Dutch Square. Penang, along with Malacca and Singapore, was one of the three British Straits Settlements and the capital, Georgetown, was named after King George III. You will spend the afternoon exploring Georgetown with its well-preserved colonial centre. COLOMBO & KANDY, SRI LANKA Although Colombo is a modern city, it has not lost its Old World charm. This contrast is apparent as you see the colourful Pettah Bazaar and visit the Asokaramaya Buddhist temple. After a drive through Sri Lanka’s stunning hill country and tea plantations, you arrive at the picturesque, naturally fortified hill town of Kandy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you will visit the Temple of the Tooth and the Botanical Gardens. CRUISE THE MALABAR COAST TO MUMBAI Situated in the state of Kerala, Cochin has a remarkable history: here you will see the oldest church in India and palaces from the days of the Raj. It was here in 1524 that the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama died

and his body was entombed in the chapel of Santo Antonio until it was moved to Portugal in 1538. With its languid, tropical atmosphere and magnificent chapel of St Aloysius, Mangalore is a delightful stop on your way up the west coast of India. Old Goa, founded by the Portuguese, is home to churches dating back to the mid-16th century. As well as seeing the historic villas of the Portuguese era, you will visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus. Your tour will visit all the main sights of Mumbai including Mani Bhavan, a museum that was once the residence of Mahatma Gandhi, the Victorian monuments of the British Empire, the Prince of Wales Museum and the Gateway of India BIRTHPLACE OF A HERO Mohandas Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbandar, where his father, uncle and grandfather had all been prime ministers to the Jethwa Rajput rulers of the princely state. The site of Gandhi’s birth, Kirti Mandir, is now a museum. OMAN – MUSCAT AND SALALAH The 16th-century Portuguese admiral Alfonso de Albuqueque described Muscat as a “very elegant town with very fine houses,” and his description of the capital of Oman still holds true today. The old town is dominated by two great stone forts, Al Jalali and Al Mirani, which were built by the Portuguese in the late 16th century, and on the waterfront stands the Sultan's imposing palace. Salalah is a city of antiquity, boasting both the ruins of the fortified town of Sumharam and the Tomb of Job.

EGYPT’S VALLEY OF THE KINGS & ANCIENT JORDAN From Safaga we head to Luxor for an overnight hotel stay. Highlights here include the massive Karnak Temple and tombs of the pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings. Disembarking in Aqaba, the drive to Petra takes a scenic route via Wadi Rum. Your first glimpse of the ancient rose-red city of Petra is one you will not forget, as you emerge from the mile-long path that winds between two overhanging cliffs to stand in front of the stunning, colonnaded Treasury. Citadel Hill in Amman is the site of an impressive concentration of antiquity including the 2nd-century AD Temple of Hercules. Graeco-Roman Jerash was founded by Alexander the Great in the 2nd century BC and was a flourishing city of the Decapolis, the league of ten Roman cities.

ATHENS & GREEK ISLANDS Your two-night hotel stay in Athens includes a full-morning's guided tour of the city's ancient citadel, the Acropolis, built during the "Golden Age" of Athens, and the Acropolis Museum. Among the Aegean's most spectacular sights are the cliffs of Santorini rising from a great half-moon caldera. Here you’ll visit Akrotiri, an ancient Minoan outpost with the remains of a sophisticated civilisation dating back to the 16th century BC. The island of Delos is one of the most interesting archaeological sites in Greece, and nearby Mykonos, with its lively cafes and shops, is the perfect contrast. EPHESUS, TROY & THE HISTORIC COAST OF TURKEY After leaving the Greek Islands, we cross to the Turkish coast and the port of Izmir to visit Ephesus, which contains the largest collection of Roman ruins in the eastern Mediterranean including the Library of Celsus. Also included is an excursion to Pergamon which was founded by the Greeks in the 8th century BC and once rivalled Athens as a centre of culture and learning. The siege of Troy by warriors from Greece has fired the imagination of poets over thousands of years. Alternatively, take a ferry across the Dardanelles to the moving memorials of Gallipoli. BYZANTINE ISTANBUL One of the major highlights of your cruise is when you sail through the Bosphorus and dock in the heart of the Byzantine masterpiece that is Istanbul. Your included sightseeing features the 6th-century

Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the Blue Mosque. You will also have free time to explore on your own, perhaps visit the amazing underground cisterns or the Archaeological Museum. Sail past the astonishing monasteries at Mount Athos and enjoy a lazy afternoon on the “Mama Mia” island of Skiathos. CLASSICAL GREECE From Gythion you’ll travel to Sparta and Mystra, followed by Katakolon for a morning's tour to Ancient Olympia. The first Olympic Games took place here in 776BC and the site was also an important religious centre, as Mount Olympus was believed to be the home of Zeus. Return to the ship for a lunchtime departure to Ithaca where you will be able to spend a relaxing evening ashore. CORFU AND ANCIENT BUTRINT With cricket still played on the green, the legacy of British rule is evident in Corfu Town as you will see during the morning tour. You will also visit the Byzantine Museum housed in the Church of Panagia Antivouniotissa and the elegant Esplanade. The archaeological site of Butrint has been occupied since at least the 8th century BC. Power struggles between Byzantium and successive Norman, Angevin and Venetian states have made this a fascinating archaeological and historical site. THE WONDERS OF DALMATIA After cruising deep into the stunning fjord of Kotor Bay in Montenegro, the ship arrives at Dubrovnik for a free evening ashore. Next morning, your sightseeing features the magnificent fortifications

Knossoss, Crete

3 days in Venice

including the 10th century city walls and the Cathedral which boasts Titian’s Assumption over the main altar. The Croatian town of Split is home to one of the greatest of all Roman sites, the Palace of Diocletian where there will be a morning tour of this remarkable palace. The Romans, Byzantines and Venetians all coveted the port of Zadar and as a result it is rich in fascinating monuments. Your morning walking tour of the town will include the Roman forum and the Church of St Donat. DAZZLING RAVENNA AND VENICE In the 5th century AD the power of Rome was in decline and the capital of the Western Roman Empire was moved to Ravenna, now famous for its superb early Christian mosaics and buildings including the Church of San Vitale. Whether you are seeing the great sites of Venice for the first time or revisiting them, there is no better way to end your trip than with two-night hotel stay in this lovely city. On your first evening, you’ll enjoy a spectacular private visit to St Mark’s Basilica.

Now a suburb of modern Tunis, in its heyday Carthage was one of the most powerful cities in the ancient world. Razed to the ground by the Romans, only traces of the original Punic Carthage remain, but you won’t be disappointed thanks to its marvellous museum and excellent archaeological remains. Alternatively, you can take a full day’s excursion inland to visit the spectacular Roman city of Dougga. Cartagena is home to the moving ruins of the Cathedral of Santa Maria la Veija and a spectacular Roman amphitheatre. From the port of Motril, you head inland to Granada. The Alhambra was the last capital of the Moors in Spain and your tour includes the Royal Palace and the Generalife with its splendid gardens.

Seville, Spain

GIBRALTAR & THE BEST OF MORROCO Gibraltar, or the Rock, rises nearly 1,400ft above sea level and is said to be one of the legendary Pillars of Hercules. Your tour includes Europa Point, the southernmost point of Gibraltar, and the famous St Michael’s Cave. Leaving Casablanca by road we make our way inland to Marrakesh where sightseeing features a walk through the famous medina, a visit to 14th century Ben Youssef Medrassa, finishing in the famous Djemma el Fna Square. Overnight in a Marrakesh hotel, then return to Casablanca for a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, the second largest mosque outside of Saudi Arabia. CRUISING INTO ANDALUSIA From the port of Cadiz you travel to Jerez de la Frontera for a tour of the city before visiting one of the famous bodegas for a sherry tasting. Aegean Odyssey then sails up the Guadalquivir River to moor in the heart of Seville. During your three nights here, you’ll visit the Royal Palace Alcazar and travel to the city of Cordoba, one of the world’s great destinations and contains one of the Wonders of the Medieval World, the Great Mosque. Specific information for your cruise and land programme will be provided at the time of booking. Please also refer to the applicable government website for any updates to this information. Requirements for other nationalities can be obtained from the consulates of the countries to be visited on the specific cruise and land programme. It is each guest’s own responsibility to ensure that they have the required documentation prior to travel. Failure to produce the required documentation at embarkation may result in denied boarding and any expenses incurred as a result are not the responsibility of Voyages to Antiquity.

PASSPORTS Full passports are required and must be valid for a minimum of six months after the last day of your holiday. Special Note: Guests on itineraries which include calls to Arab countries and that may have an Israeli visa or entry stamp in their passport are strongly encouraged to obtain a new passport prior to travel. This is simply a recommendation and is not a requirement.

VISAS At time of printing, Australian and New Zealand passport holders need to obtain prior to departure a visa for Sri Lanka and a multiple entry visa for the cruises featuring India. Egypt When arriving to Egypt by sea on board Aegean Odyssey, Voyages to Antiquity will obtain the visa on your behalf and add the cost to your on-board account. Turkey does require Australian passport holders embarking or disembarking in Istanbl to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) prior to arrival in Turkey. The ETA can be applied for online at https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en. The cost of the ETA if purchased online is US$60. New Zealand passport holders are exempt. At least 90 days prior to departure, we must have the following information relating to each passenger: full name (as it appears on passport), address, nationality, date and place of birth; plus passport number, expiration date and date and place of issue. Guests cannot be included in any ship-issued group visas if this information is not supplied by the required time.

HEALTH As health regulations are ever changing, we recommend that you consult your doctor or your local health department at least 10 weeks before your intended departure to check the latest requirements for the countries you will be visiting. Upon receiving pre-documentation materials, we will advise you of any mandatory vaccination requirements. Any guest arriving at the airport/port without the correct certificate will be refused permission to board and any expenses incurred as a result are not the responsibility of Voyages to Antiquity. Depending on the itinerary, guests should consult their doctor regarding the possibility of taking a course of anti-malarial tablets prior to their departure. Yellow fever inoculations are required only when arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission – please consult your doctor before travelling. There is a well equipped medical centre staffed by a doctor and licensed nurse for the benefit of both the guests and the crew. The medical centre is primarily intended to provide acute care for illness and accidents that may occur while on holiday and is not intended to provide long term care for patients with chronic illnesses or as a substitute

for regular health care. Charges apply for consultations, prescriptions, and cabin visits. Guests that require regular treatments or testing of any kind during the cruise and land programme must advise Voyages to Antiquity at the time of deposit. Voyages to Antiquity has the right to refuse or revoke passage to anyone who, in its judgment, is in a physical condition that is beyond the care that can be provided or made available.

Verification of your travel insurance policy may be required by Voyages to Antiquity. 6. Itinerary Changes The holidays featured in this brochure are planned many months in advance. Occasionally, events can occur that will require changes (including cancellations) to be made to the published itineraries – both before and after bookings have been confirmed. Some changes are minor, but occasionally they can be a significant change. Cancellations of, or changes to, itineraries may be made for a number of reasons including (but not limited to) war, civil unrest, industrial disruption/strikes, natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, adverse travel

advisory warnings issued by Governmental organisations, insufficient bookings or to maintain and protect the safety of passengers, crew and the ship. A significant change with alternative arrangements, or cancellation and refund A significant change is defined as a change to either your initial embarkation port or to the disembarkation port from that in your published itinerary to a port in a different country and advised to you at least 15 days prior to your travel departure. You can choose to either accept the alternate arrangement(s) which we will advise to you, or to cancel your booking and receive a refund of moneys that you have paid to the travel agent for the services that were to be provided by Voyages to Antiquity. Changes to any Port of call in your itinerary Changes to the order, or substitution, of any dates or times at the Ports of call in the published itinerary are not considered a significant change and do not entitle you to any refunds or compensation. Normal cancellation fees will apply should you choose to cancel when advised of these Ports of call changes prior to your travel departure. The ship’s captain is responsible for the safety of the ship, passengers and crew. The captain has absolute discretion in making any alterations during the cruise to the published itinerary as the captain considers necessary and no compensation or refunds apply. Your rights in all other situations In all other situations, neither Voyages to Antiquity nor the travel agent or any of their affiliates, subsidiaries, employees or agents have any liability to you and you will need to ensure that your travel insurance will compensate you for any and all delays, cancellations, or changes to any part of your total travel itinerary that occur. This includes any airline or ground arrangements that you may have. 7. Consideration for others We expect all passengers to have consideration for other people. If in our reasonable opinion the behavior of any passenger is likely to cause damage, upset or distress to any third party or damage to property, the Company reserves the right to terminate that passenger’s cruise without prior notice. In these extreme circumstances no refunds will be made and the Company will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination of the cruise. The departure of the ship from any port will not be delayed for passengers who are not on board by the published departure time. 8. Fitness and Eligibility The focus of the cruises featured in this brochure is on the extensive programme of included sightseeing and to fully participate in this you need to be reasonably fit and have no walking difficulties. In any event your mobility should not be an impediment to others on the guided tours. We also reserve the right to refuse to accept a booking without giving a reason. 9. Liability The liability of the Company and any other party that may be involved in providing services in connection with any of the holidays in this brochure may be limited where international conventions apply. These include the Warsaw Convention which relates to carriage by air and the Athens Convention which relates to carriage by sea. Travel on board the mv Aegean Odyssey is subject to the conditions of carriage issued by the ship operating company and travel on board aircraft to join the Aegean Odyssey is subject to the airline’s standard ticket conditions. Full details are available on request. The Company is not to be held responsible for any act, event or omission during the time passengers are not aboard the vessel. The Company acts only as an agent for the supplier of off-ship services such as airlines and other off-ship transportation carriers, meals, shore excursions, accommodations, air ambulance and shore-side physicians. These may limit or exclude liability. Claims other than for personal injury, death and illness are limited to a reasonable amount.

10.English Law The conditions form part of the contract with the Company and any disputes arising out of it are governed by English Law. All proceedings shall be within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. 11.Independent Travel Arrangements Voyages to Antiquity is not responsible with regard to air or land travel or accommodation arrangements made using non-refundable, restricted travel or frequent flyer air tickets or frequent traveler hotel accommodations. This exclusion of liability includes the consequences of delays in the arrival at any airport, hotel, or port location that may occur when passengers who have purchased a cruise only holiday are using independently arranged air or land travel or when changes in travel arrangements may need to be made due to changes Voyages to Antiquity may make to the embarkation or disembarkation ports and the time of embarkation and disembarkation. The Passenger Ticket/Passage Contract contains full terms and conditions for these exclusions. 12.Final Travel Documentation Travel documents including any air charter tickets are issued only after passport details have been received and final payment has been made to Voyages to Antiquity. In most cases the final documentation is sent no later than 30-21 days prior to scheduled departure. It is the responsibility of the passenger(s) and for his travel agent to verify that the full name(s) on any cruise, land, or air charter arrangements and reservations are the same as listed on his/her passport. Voyages to Antiquity is not responsible for cancellation or pre-bookable fees imposed by any supplier due to incorrect names provided by the travel agent or guest. 13.Services provided by Independent Contractors All shoreside tours and services described in this brochure or on the website including air charter, hotel, transfers and excursions are provided by independent contractors. All handcarried luggage and personal effects are the responsibility of the guest at all times. Voyages of Antiquity is not responsible for the loss or damage to guest luggage.
