VOYPA means heavy. The street has shaped an entire culture, that youth embodied. It created a language true to itself. At the end of the day, we’ve all grown up in a street… no matter the context. This is how this street smart youth wants to communicate and emphasize their various origins. Then us, as street sons, shouted VOYPA , is heavy - for the hero and anti- hero who’s in each of us. VOYPA - pronounced “ vo[ï]-pa “ - is for all we see as beautiful and as ugly as it is, for all the joys and all the sorrows we feel. This is how, eyes see on the street : it can be hot and cold , but classy at the same time. Voypa is bringing in : street wealth, language, prestige and contemporary bourgeoisie.
