I first saw Molly Goddard back in October of 2016. She presented her Spring/Summer 2017 collection as part of a Top Shop event at Old Spitalfields Market. Truth be told, I accidently found my way to this show because I simply boarded the wrong fashion week bus and the rest was history. Goddard has a clear style -the volume, the tulle, the edgy vibe mixed with distinctive femininity. She’s daring and definitely not shy in her creations. Fast forward to London Fashion Week and her Autumn/Winter 2019 event. This collection definitely screams Molly Goddard with the tulle and soft textures, but what set this apart is that there was an added level of styling which blended darker, tailored pieces and geometric prints into the mix. As the pieces paraded around the catwalk, there was a touch of haute couture in the beautiful collection, all within an exquisite setting. Bravo Molly! You’ve reached new heights and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
