Multi-dimensional ranking and comparison tool of higher education institutions. Every user – student, researcher, decision maker - can create their own mixture of performance indicators across five dimensions:
· teaching and learning · research · knowledge transfer · international orientation · regional engagement.
U-Multirank visualises the results with sunbursts. Each ‘ray’ represents one of the 30-plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator.
VUB’s overall profile for 2021 shows top performance across various indicators, with 15 ‘A’ (very good) scores overall.

QS rankings are reputation-driven, with 50% of an institution’s score derived from surveys.
The capital of Belgium and headquarters of the European Union, Brussels is known for its international character – and this is reflected in the high proportion of international students at its universities. As well as being known for its international diversity and central role in European politics, Brussels is also famed for its chocolate shops, comic strip art, pubs, cafés and attractive architecture.
