Welcome to the Pink Satin Pearls

The Pink Satin Pearls program was designed to specifically guide our Pink Satin Pearls in personal development, providing a positive and important foundation during their formative years. Our Pink Satin Pearls gained an understanding of how important it is to give back to their community through charitable acts. Our Pink Satin Pearls have developed their social graces by participating in etiquette workshops. Our Pink Satin Pearls also participated in a leadership workshop where they learned how to work with others and speak in public while boosting their self-esteem. All along the way, they had fun and made new friends! Let’s also celebrate our Little Gents who are accompanying and escorting our Pink Satin Pearls. They also participated in many of the activities, had wonderful experiences and gained new friends. This afternoon’s culminating event for the Pink Satin Pearls and the Little Gents is where we, their friends and family, gather to not only celebrate their accomplishments but also to be mesmerized by their grace and beauty. Congratulations Pink Satin Pearls and Little Gents! Our Waltz in Wonderland would not have been possible if not for the vision, dedication and execution exemplified by Tonya Robertson, Sharelle Stagg and the entire Pink Satin Pearls Committee. Congratulations ladies for what promises to be an amazing afternoon to Waltz in Wonderland!

Sincerely,

Saundra R. Roberts Saundra R. Roberts, Executive Director D.C. Pearls III Foundation, Inc.

March 30, 2019

Dear Pink Satin Pearls and Little Gents, It has been our great pleasure to take this wonderful journey as the first Pink Satin Pearls Luncheon Program participants. Over the past six months, each of you have participated in several activities aimed at providing opportunities for civic engagement, social interaction and academic enrichment. We kicked off the program with a meet and greet in September of 2018. Additional activities included the National Museum of Health & Medicine, the Prince George’s County STEAM Fest, our awesome FUN-raising events at Imagination Stage, Lanham Roller Rink, Dave & Buster’s and our great Etiquette and Leadership Academy. From the very beginning, you all have bonded and built on the relationships and skills learned. You all have accepted the responsibilities put before you and we could not be prouder of the young leaders that you have become. This experience would not be possible without the support of such a great group of parents. We sincerely thank each of you for allowing your daughters and sons to participate in the Pink Satin Pearls Program! We know that it takes time and effort and we appreciate all that you have given to make your child’s participation a rewarding experience. To the Pink Satin Pearls and Little Gents Committee members, thank you very much for all of your support, dedication, and hard work. Your contributions have not gone unnoticed. We appreciate all that you have done to make the first Pink Satin Pearls Luncheon a success! Finally, we have faith that you, our Pink Satin Pearls and Little Gents, will go out into the world and continue to foster the relationships that have been created amongst each other. We encourage and expect you to continue to help your communities, take pride in your culture and yourselves and never put ceilings on your possibilities. No matter what, we will be here as your support system as we fulfill our call to always be of service to all mankind. Best Wishes,
