House on the Rock Trip

Amberlea Childs - Recreation Center Join plant based chef Amberlea Childs as she celebrates the holidays in a healthy plant based version. Not only good for you, these dishes will taste amazing too. We’ll demo and then dine on 3 holiday favorites like: Creamy Butternut Curry Soup, Spinach & Potatoes Au Gratin and Quinoa Salad with Orange Miso dressing. Then we’ll discuss the power plant foods have in preventing disease and how food can help the body heal from illness. Code Day 330300.02 TH

Soup is savory and warms the heart. This class will highlight seasonal and root veggies for soup and an electric pressure cooker, known as an Instant Pot. We’ll make two plant based soups: Dill Pickle Potato Chowder, a savory Red Lentil Dahl and Cumin Basmati rice. Join us to learn how to make soup creamy, healthy and hearty without dairy and cholesterol.

In 1960, Alex Jordan opened his dream house built atop a chimney of rock to the public. Over the years, the house has expanded and there is now something to see for everyone! The ABC’s of Medicare Marsha Kowalski - Recreation Center Are you getting closer to the age of 65 and feel like you don't know a thing about Medicare? Join Marsha Kowalski as she explains Medicare A, B, C, and many important issues you need to know about. Previous attendees have said, "I am so glad I attended this class!"
