Warhol's 15 Minutes of Fame Quote Is on Artsy Campbell's Soup Cans Campbell’s is selling an artsy line of special edition collectible tomato soup cans featuring Andy Warhol's famous quote, “In the future everybody will be famous for 15 minutes.” The cans are available only at Target stores and were
introduced in September. Bearing labels reminiscent of the pop artist’s iconic paintings, the 1.2 million cans come in four color schemes. Each will cost 75 cents and be available at Target stores while supplies last.
The piano failed to meet the seller's expectations, who thought it would sell for more than a million dollars. The previous owner purchased the piano for $154,000 at an auction in the 1980s.

Elvis and Beatles Autographs Top Forged List in 2012 Elvis Presley and The Beatles topped the list of most-forged celebrity signatures in 2012. Memorabilia experts have announced a list of celebrities whose fake signatures were most frequently sold by scammers in 2012. The research was undertaken by memorabilia authenticators PSA/DNA. According to the study, only
half of all of all signatures by Elvis and the Fab Four that were offered for sale proved to be authentic. According to Heritage Auctions, secretaries and assistants of celebrities were partially to blame for the high number of fake signatures appearing on the market as they answered most of the fan mail for their celebrity bosses.
Film memorabilia collector Ralph DeLuca paid $1.2 million for nine rare movie posters last month at a bankruptcy auction in Los Angeles. The lot included a rare 1927 poster from the German science fiction film Metropolis. The lot included posters from the movies King Kong, The Invisible Man and Arsenic and Old Lace, and the original painting of Elvis Presley used for the Jailhouse Rock movie poster. The Metropolis poster, is one of only four known copies, and it was illustrated by Heinz Schulz-Neudamm. Continue on page 5

Use Heirlooms to Teach Kids

By Lily Morgan
Family heirlooms are often among the most treasured of possessions. This is especially true when they are incredibly old or tied to an era that most of us can only read about. The value of these objects is often priceless to those who cherish and keep them. There are often further uses for a family heirloom than to simply stay stored away. There is plenty to be learned from these items both for adults as well as children. Don’t miss out on what could be a valuable learning tool.
