Walbridge constructed a main treatment building, four cast-inplace aeration basins, three final clarifiers, an ultraviolet disinfection facility, two sludge holding tanks, a sludge pump and processing building, a blower building, plant effluent building, RAS/WAS pump station, plant drainage, grit and scum pump station, two bio-filters and three belt filter presses.
Walbridge constructed this $73 million project which involved three major components including an automated primary sewage treatment facility capable of screening and chemically treating 2.4 million gallons per minute; piping, tunneling, and flow diversions as well as interior and exterior renovation of the Patton Park Center.
Walbridge installed several thousand feet of 12 and 16 inch diameter ash pipe, flow control valves, ash receivers, high strength bag filters and state of the art ballistic ceramic blast plating. The project also included refurbishment of 300 horsepower electric vacuum motors, programmable logic controllers and associated instrumentation.
AND WE DELIVER FULL-SERVICE Launching from a base of 30 successful years of continuous services at Detroit’s Jefferson Wastewater Treatment Plant—the largest wastewater treatment plant in the country, Walbridge has expanded geographically to deliver experience and capabilities of water and wastewater construction services to municipalities, state and federal agencies, the electric utility industry, the industrial industry, the petroleum and petrochemical industries, and the Department of Defense.
