McLennan County Master Gardeners July 8

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Downtown Farmer’s Market, 500 Washington Ave. with help for planting fall gardens. They will have handouts available and seeds for planting as well as being able to answer questions.

July 19th, Dr. Joan Windmiller will present “The Lore of Herbs”. Dr. Windmiller has been growing herbs for over 30 years. Join her as she discusses the folklore of the most fascinating plants we have and their links to the past. They flavor our foods and heal our wounds. What is the difference between herbs and spices? A new and exciting four part documentary series that explores Waco history, premiering July 6th and 7th at the Grand Lodge of Texas (715 Columbus Ave, Waco, TX 76701). Waco High School will host Fish Camp for the Class of 2021 from Monday, July 17 to Thursday, July 20. Come be a part of the excitement as you spend the day meeting new people, reunite with friends, and learn the secrets to success as a high school student. These fun-filled days will feature games, competitions, and insider information on how to get off on the right foot when the 2017-2018 school year begins. Breakfast is served each day at 7:30 am and events go from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm. Lunch will also be served. Join us to find that Lion Pride Runs Deep!
