Since ancient times, when the first hops bushels were steamed in giant pots of boiling water, mighty warriors have enjoyed two things - A hearty brew after a long and bloody campaign and using their enemies broken skulls in games of skill. They would line the skulls up across a granite table and throw expensive gems to see who had the best hand eye co-ordination and decide who would receive warrior bragging rights. Many centuries later, warriors still face each other down across a table in beer pong battles harking back to the days of old. 4 Pines Brewing Company will host the inaugural WA Beer Week 4 Pines Craft Beer Pong Challenge. Teams will be pitted against each other on the night to see which team is the ultimate Craft Beer Pong Champion. To keep the everyone pumped as they tumble in defeat or shower themselves in glory,
Come and see the boys in action. Our head brewer Paul Wyman, Mark Rielly (Head brewer of The Old Brewery), and Jackson, (who is both Mark and The Monk’s assistant brewer) will be brewing our next seasonal creation. Yes, you read it correctly; The Monk and The Old Brewery share the talent of Jackson Purser so we thought it was about time we got together and did a collaboration brew! They will kick off at 11.30am and everyone is invited to pop their head into the brew house to have a sneak peak and say hello, or even spend the day with them and learn the tricks of the trade. If you are lucky enough to be there at the right time they may let you play with their brewery toys and allow you to mash in some malts or throw in some hops. No cost or official arrival time, just bring your passion for craft beer and later on you can relax on our terrace with a nice cold beer and have a bite to eat. Cheers
