#「敲敲打打」是一種透過遊戲與探索、自我 學習、個人表達、共同協作,以及結合科學、 藝術與技術的學習途徑。


INTRODUCTION

What Does It Take to Create a Tinkering Workshop? ▶▶▶ Facilitation These principles inform the interaction between staff (facilitators) and museum visitors. The staff ’s facilitation should be welcoming and done with the intention of sparking interest. The facilitators should focus on visitors’ attention, realizing that individual paths of understanding are affected by their personal e x p e r i e n c e . Fa c i l i t a t i o n s h o u l d help to strengthen understanding by helping visitors clarify their intentions through conver sation. The facilitators must avoid taking on the role of a traditional classroom teacher. Instead, they need to put themselves in the shoes of the visitors, identify with the learners’ perspectives, and support them to achieve their goals. The facilitators put control in the hands of the visitors by asserting that the workshop is about the exploration process rather than the end results.

▶▶▶ Environmental Design E n v i ro n m e n t a l d e s i g n p r i n c i p l e s refer to the guidelines for the design and use of the workshop setting. For example, models from past projects a n d c u r re n t a c t i v i t i e s s h o u l d b e displayed in the workshop to seed ideas and inspiration. Studio layout should support individual initiative and autonomy. Since the aim of the workshop is to create opportunities for the cross-pollination of ideas, activity station design should enable cross-talk and invite collaboration. ▶▶▶ Activity Design S T E M ( S c i e n c e , Te c h n o l o g y , Engineering, and Mathematics) education is only a means to an end, not an end in itself. Thus, tinkering activities should integrate the use of materials, tools, and technologies and build on visitors' prior interests and knowledge. They need to invite visitors to inquire, experiment, and modify their solutions. Ultimately, they encourage learners to complexify thinking over time.

2. 利 用 熟 悉 的 管 子 、 漏 斗 、 軌 道 、 玩 具 零 件 、 滑 輪 、 擋 板 、 鈴 鐺 、 氣 球 和 骨 牌等材料,製作各種關卡與結構,讓彈珠滾進終點。

2.Use familiar materials such as tubes, funnels, tracks, toy parts, pulleys, bumpers, bells, balloons, and dominos to create your marble machine. Put in different obstacles and contraptions and watch your marble roll to the bottom.

可插細木棍的洞洞板、木筷或細木棍、剪刀、紙膠帶。

Peg Board, dowels (wooden chopsticks), scissors, and masking tape.

靈感素材: 木 製 或 紙 製 軌 道、 彈 珠、 漏 斗、 寬 橡 皮 筋、 塑 膠 軟 管、 銅 管、 管 托、 鈴 鐺、 彈 珠 台 小 釘 板、 輪 子、 曬 衣 夾、 泡 棉、 適 合 在 軌 道 上 滾 動 的 各 式 球 類、 塑 膠 網、釣魚線、細繩、束帶、彈簧、長竹籤、冰棒棍等。

利用管子、漏斗、軌道、滑輪、擋板、 鈴鐺、氣球和骨牌等各種材料,設計一 個讓彈珠滾動的裝置,或是為自己設定 挑戰的目標,讓彈珠的運動過程更加有 趣;可以來回滑行、發出聲響、彈跳或 是啟動一系列的連鎖反應。嘗試不同材 質、大小與重量的彈珠,他們的運動有 何不同?結合故事情節與美感,觀察其 他人的彈珠機有什麼有趣的機構設計, 試著改造你的彈珠機,讓它更加好玩有 趣。

A Marble Machine is a creative ball-run contraption designed to send a rolling m a r b l e t h ro u g h t u b e s a n d f u n n e l s , across tracks, pulleys, and bumpers, hitting bells, balloons, and dominos on its way to a catch at the end. You can set many challenges for yourself to make the marble race more fun: you can make the marble zig-zag, collide with other objects and make sounds, bounce in the air, and trigger complex chainreactions.

Objects for Inspiration: wooden/cardboard tracks, marbles, funnels, broccoli bands, flexible plastic tubes, copper pipes, pipe holders, bells, Plinko board, wheel, clothespins, foamies, all kinds of balls, plastic mesh, fishing line, string, cable tie, springs, pulleys, pipe cleaners, skewer sticks, and popsicle sticks.
