Introduction
WAG connects artists from all over the world, of all artistic branches, disciplines and expressions. In art projects for a new generation, WAG brings together children, schools, teachers and mentors, from many countries. WAG is the meeting point for art lovers and artists. In this year`s edition of “Contemporary Art & Artists”, we feature visual, literary, musical and performing artists. Showing both renowned and rising artists, as well as students, who are just laying their artistic path. It is an honour to be in the book, together with artists from different parts of the world and to be part of one big international artistic family. With this Book, we want to pay tribute to WAG members who work hard to create, who live arts passionately. We want to present their art to a wide audience. WAG HQ is proud of the successes and achievements of its members. We appreciate their loyalty toward our organization and adherence to postulates of the WAG Charter - humanity, equality, free choice and freedom in diversity, understanding and accepting of our differences in life and art. We hope that for many more years to come, we will continue to develop our organization together, to expand the circle of our international family with more countries, more artists and friends, and to meet regularly at various WAG events, Festivals, Team Buildings and other projects and gatherings. Good luck and success in further artistic creation WAG HQ Presidents Peter Weisz & Jasminka Blazevic Paunovic

To you, many years later You've been holding my hand for many years already. You keep my fingers warm with a protective hold. I don't complain that so much water has flowed by and that the wrinkles have settled on our faces. I don't mind that the shoulders in my embrace are a little slumped, and our Argentine tango sweetly slowed down.
The splendor of the night
I still love your laugh, and that you sing gypsy songs to me when the guitars play, winking at me roguishly.
When the night shines in the light and the rock breaths, the dreaming flowers smell sweetly, and the cloud races by quickly then, just then a star falls carried by desire stricken by love. When the night shines, touched by the light of a full moon a shadow moves deeper in the shadows, then, just then, I dream with my eyes open, I cleanse my thoughts, future nestles in my heart. When the night shines all things, all things are possible.
Time alongside you drips soundlessly. If I could choose afresh I'd choose you again for a trip around the world. And once again I'd lay down my life into the shell of your palm.

Longing for freedom Tiny bird flutters in a little cage. Thin, silver-plated bars, almost invisible but present. The bird sings and spreads her wings, not of joy, but to be ready if the cage is opened for a second. She will seize the moment and fly away. Shoot at me, evil people, I am not coming back alive! Big cage, strong and grand built for a lion, the King of animals. Visitors look at him from the outside, ignorantly thinking that he walks up and down for pleasure, showing off his beauty and strength. What a mistake! He is just training his body, prepared to run away if the cage remains unattended for the glance of an eye. Shoot at me, evil people, I am not coming back alive! A man sits behind the high iron fence, in some incidental country far away from home he had to leave, heading for some free and happier place. He left his home and abandoned his family to save his Life, Pride and Freedom. Nothing is saved in this refugee camp, only the sky above is free. If some soldier leaves the big iron gate, accidentally unlocked, the man will run away, to find himself again. Shoot at me, evil people, I am not coming back alive!

Fame Once upon a time, Basil (the father figure) met Lawrence Hills. Basil, the main character, Bumped in to Mr. Hills While bumbling Around the world Of the garden. As for Mr. Hills He is a founding For-father of organic cultivation And has published many books And has founded the Henry Double-day Research Association A very noble organization And so Mr. Hills spoke of bashing away At the garden the garden with axe handles And crashing through the jungle And so my dad did as such, As well as making a few deals For his latest project, The Organic Gardening magazine And fame grew by the minute And circulation soared And the fat lady sang And Andy gave us all an extra five minutes Free And the sun came up And went down And that's it
Impossible poem In the refrigerator I knew a horse Wrapped in plastic Under the desert Next to some old peas Too stiff to move Too cold to talk Red and grey Like the Redcoats Born yesterday Knowing not what they do Impossible to leave Decomposing in to despair Covered in blood Pine trees piercing the sky Controversialy established The royal we Royal fox hunt A royal bore In this town In this refrigerator

Full Fathom Five Hickory dickory dock Jackson Pollack. One ton of steel wrapped around a tree. I came here to see your paintings, I wish you could do the same. But one long night on Long Island took that all away. I see radiator paint and screws, A perfect back drop for a movie star Or another night at the Cedar Bar. I wish you could be here tonight, Jackson, Your spirit is few and far between, Although your paintings still live on and gleam. Black and silver, and white and green, The immediacy of a gesture captures the energy of me. And what a moment, momentarily over. A response to the 1940's Responded to by disbelief. Yet in this tangled labyrinth, I find peace. Full Fathom Five, and we took a dive. Were you finished with life or just bored? Let he who live by the brush be loved.
Yellow Container Under a yellow container Down with a brush In to a TV I can read psychiatric journals on a CD Jigsaw puzzles and bags of pretzels Running from an academic posse Odd coloured flowers On top of the Twin Towers Sex runs rampant in New York But New Orleans will always have the Mardi Gras And for God's sake, don't forget the kids parents And spare a thought for Clarence 13

The limit is the sky I couldn't sleep for dreaming of the sky The endless sky A lonely seagull drifting in a sea of blue Floating high above the emerald patchwork of fields and matchbox houses, ant people, flashing waves, Diving in the clear expanse of nothingness, lifted by cool currents of air Ecstatically sailing the azure breezes, redolent of rose-petals, cut-grass, lavender Powerfully swooping, surfing the cold air – high octane ionosphere – dizzying heights Exhilarating! In the far distance, the subtle wisps of clouds And far – very far The immense cloud palaces with the majestic marble goddess presiding, serene, immobile in the last rays of the sun Wheeling, gliding, diving, swimming, I sail the blue expanse – turning rosepink, bloodorgange, purplenightshade And then making holes in night's black tent, Pin-pricks of light A planetarium of power An immense universe of overwhelming darkness and possibility 'The limit is the sky,' he said From somewhere a frisson of fear The bricklayers of the earth, busy building walls Grimly determined to end the frivolous swooping of the birds Limiting the blue The scintillating stars and balmy breezes Importing Arctic stillness Imposing order with their relentless cementing Limiting our vision, our ability to see Curtailing opportunity, possibility, imagination If sky is the blue barrier, there is nothing beyond the blue.

Curtains Reworking the intricate artistry of Jack Frost, Spanish curtains create the cobwebbed window panes of my childhood, A fickle sun, gropes for the dawn. Brushing aside the grey tenuous fibres, I gaze upon the tiny neglected handkerchief of a lawn, I see the grimy sandstone terrace, backyards, privy sheds, dustbins, abandoned, rusty bikes. Twitchy curtains betray the interest of our neighbours, their crooked fingers peering beyond the greying lace. These are my mother's 'little birds' who always register my movements. Sinister smiles, prying eyes and betrayal, behind the twitching, tell her all....... Hidden behind my curtain of hair, with my short leather skirt and high stiletto heels, I totter down the street. I can hear the tutting ... 'No kissing boys at bus-stops', I remember! Next door, the body wrapped in a shroud does not murmur though... Then the accolade – take a bow! A curtain call! My parents, clapping and cheering Despite the prediction of a bad end, here I am, receiving a prize at the school speech day! Hallelujah chorus all round! Remembering my dad's favourite film : 'I'll never go hungry again. Tomorrow is another day!' And now here I am in the haberdasher's sumptuous emporium, amidst the gorgeous fabrics of existence! Here are the hooks and rods, poles, rings, tassels, rails, pelmets, tie-backs, hold-backs, headings of life All the fabric of life is here! What will I make of all these wonders? I wield my trusty sewing-machine like a weapon, waging war on the uncompromising materials, I work like a demon, determined to create the most exotic Aladdin's cave in existence, To exclude all the violence, the sinister and resident evils, which loiter in the darkness – And now – safe from being observed and not wishing to observe, I think about those tapes and linings and seams, the trappings of my life... When will I face the final curtain call? When will it be 'curtains' for me and you? Will I recall all the openings as day breaks And all the closings at day's end? All the opportunities taken and lost? Those final curtains, will they have pleated headings and fringes? Will I be satisfied with the colour when they are finally drawn?

Passion Exotic music, the steady sound of drums, an intensive smell of joss stick in the air. Your hand caressing my hair, your mouth nibbling on my earlobes, pleasant shivers coursing through my body. Leaves whispering in the soft wind, I emerge from the silky water between gentle waves and seem to float in the air above green palmtops towards a spectacular sunset.
Essential silence Unbearable is the clamour of the city, assaulting my delicate ears, aggravating my nerves, upsetting my equilibrium, robbing me of sleep. Out into the fields and woods, up a mountainside I race, until the wonders of nature embrace me. Quickly I relax, enjoying the natural beauty, deeply inhaling the essential silence around me.

Celebrating Celebrating every day of your life like a precious gift, never taking anything for granted, will make your existence more meanginful. Celebrating your happiness with friends will help make it more worthwhile. Celebrating Christmas like you did in your childhood will make you more thankful.
Success For the first time in my life I'm not trying to swim against the current. Instead, I float on the water, like a seagull, caressed by the gentle waves, as they slowly roll towards the ocean, forgetting about yesterday, and not thinking about tomorrow. I am happy, maybe happier, than ever before, as at long last my life is a success. 19

HOW THE LEOPARD GOT ITS SPOTS African animal stories, songs and games for children from 5 years and adults The world of stories and songs in West Africa is mysterious and funny, populated by animals that are unfamiliar to us. The worries and grades of schoolchildren have just as much space in it as the respect for the elderly and the king of animals. Old traditions and modern experiences mix in the melodies and rhythms. And everyone dance...

ICLME - is the operational arm of Leadership For Today Ltd. We are probably the only CMI Centre where all our CMI Approved Tutors are also CMgr - the highest accolade for a practising professional manager. Evidence suggest that the COVID-19 pandemic has exposed vulnerabilities in organisational systems everywhere. Taking the opportunity to strengthen and reimagine our systems may not only ensure better preparation for future crises but also deliver more effective future organisations. The challenge is making and sustaining changes that shift our mindsets to pro-active risk sensitive activities while ensuring resilience and flexibility. Through his R & D activities, coaching, consulting and advice interventions, since 1995, in Africa, Canada, Europe, South America, UK and the USA, Doctor MOJ has
developed DE&Inclusionism™. What is DE&Inclusionism™? It is a sister concept of Stakeholder Capitalism located in Doctor MOJ's Stakeholder Leadership Model S.T.E.P. DNA 4Ds Method®. This is a Registered Trade Mark with the Intellectual Property Office, UK. DE&Inclusionism™ defines value in broader terms as in Stakeholder Capitalism. Successful organisation in the future - post COIVID-19 - need to include a broader set of stakeholders, beyond just shareholders in their decision-making. DE&Inclusionism™ is your go-to evidence based methodology. Collaboration seems easy, unfortunately, it is a rather 'messy' business to get it right. Artists NEED NOT Ignore HOW Business Acumen Could ASSIST YOU!!

Giving the perfect combination that allow the viewer to feel, vibrate and have a unique connection with their own self. Across my life, I have always held a variety of interests simultaneously. Many of which are seemingly unconnected to one another. During elementary school I participated in model boat and rocket building, amateur radio and photography courses. From these, photography has stuck with me. We taped, developed film and made photographs. They showed us little tricks such is the one of creating a matte effect of a photo on a shiny surface. Throughout my life I have dabbled in many different areas of interest, across various categories – I played sports and travelled to all continents (except Australia, for now) with a camera always in my hand. Sometimes, a very basic camera. I filmed without a predetermined reason. I took a photograph only for the sake of memory, so sometime in the future I stumble across it, or to entertain my friends with stories and pictures of adventures that they haven't participated in. These photographs will sometimes evoke a desire for new travels and adventures. ‘'There is a beauty in attaining something real, but there is even greater happiness for a person to have a strong emotion in his or her soul to relive that which in reality would not be able to see and feel. That which has already happened'' (H. Katedralis)

Carrie Burke
Carrie has always been an explorer of materials. Her creativity is a life journey that has diversified many times along the path. “I love to see how far a material will take you, be it cotton, silver or steel!” Whether stealing fabric from her Mothers sewing room as a child, or dumpster diving when something catches her eye-she has never seen objects purely as what they were made for, rather for the qualities they contain. “Creative solutions are way of life for me. Raising children alone with little money meant clothes were frequently 'upcycled' and re-worked-long before it was cool!” Finally finding her way to an art school in 2003, she graduated with an Honours Diploma in Art & Creativity. This is where, amongst other things, she discovered a love of working with metal. She enjoyed the processes of jewellery making until a concussion injury in 2017 meant a reassessment of her practice. “I'm still not able to focus on it for long. The vision area of my brain was pretty messed up! The hardest thing was that I was unable to even view artworks. I thought about my experiences with the WAG organization, and some of the amazing gallery visits…..it was a challenging time.” Having returned to her studies in 2016, she graduated with an Advanced Diploma in post-modern design with The Learning Connexion in 2018. “It really pushed me! But it sent me on another exciting journey into the unknown…taking the idea of materiality to the extreme” Those ideas are present in her 'drawings', produced in 2019 using 30 year old book binding fabrics. “My work often references ongoing concern for the planet. Water cycle reminds us of the role we have in disrupting the balance of Nature-as evidenced in the cycle of drought and deluge we now face. I have been taking it out and planting it in various sites, it's causing fantastic conversations with children!” As well as creating impermanent site specific sculptural installations (2010-), Carrie has enjoyed exhibiting in joint art events many times, both in her home country of Aotearoa (NZ) (2005-2018) and through participation in WAG events 2013-2016. “I continue to explore……” Contact: carrie.burke@gmail.com 113

Professionally as a Graphic designer having experienced varied platforms like news channel, newspaper, lingerie brand etc, list is endless. Eventually my passion for art & crafts resulted in various participation in exhibitions. Also, having thrist for knowledge and craving towards new learnings even undertook teaching children and adults. I love different shades of colors like adding joys to one's life. Sometimes people divide their life into two parts: before and after a significant occasion. For me-it happened when sculpting came into my life. Twenty years ago, during a living period at Texas USA, I find out that sculpting is like a miracle for me. I create with clay and cast in Bronze. My inspiration comes mostly from my own personal human landscape (memories and pictures of my family, neighbors, friends etc.) The forming process in clay, of each sculpture takes me several months, and at the end, I feel as if I am giving a birth. My sculptural style is figurative images accomplished in a realistic approach. During sculpting, I try to pour into it all my love and compassion for human being. I have participated in many exclusive and group exhibitions, and some of my works take place in private collections in Israel and other countries around the world.

Iris Vrus
I have been an artist my whole life, but art is an ongoing process of changes, thus fitting my nature. This time I have created something completely new. Being connected to the sea, I have found joy in little pebbles of all different forms that have washed ashore. I have combined various stones, an ancient alphabet from this region, my different experiences, the art inside of me and added a little magic to come up with a meaning that goes beyond the meaning of the letter itself. To the pebbles being tossed by the sea and undergoing an alchemy of their own, I add ancient symbols and describe their meanings. This is the process of creating this Glagolic Alphabet. It is pleasing to the eye and can sometimes be used to provide answers. I have written a short manual so everyone can use these pebbles may receive answers to questions we deem important. As a little girl I used to play for hours with buttons that my grandmother kept. I made pictures from these buttons of different colors and shapes. When I was finally satisfied with a creation, I would take it apart and start making another image. Before starting elementary school, I acted in a film ''Seventh Continent' - a piece by a Croatian Oscar winner that left quite an impression on me. In the film, I played the role of a children's gang leader who gathered all the children of the world with the premise of leaving the world of adults that was a heartless world of cruelty uninterested in children, beauty and goodness. In our imagination we created an island, a continent, and all the children of our planet came to live there. It was called the ''Seventh Continent''. At moments I feel as I have never left this continent. I make things different from anything ever seen before, look at life from a different perspective, and I am always searching for beauty, goodness and meaning.

Joanne Black
Joanne Black is an award winning artist and Photographer from Whakatane New Zealand. Joanne's artistic work reflects the time in which it is created. It is also a mirror that reflects my perspective as an artist as well as of the viewer. ''Art to me is my life. It defines me and gives me a purpose. I like to provoke, stir emotions and give pleasure.” Artist Statement The artworks I create are from my re-imagined tūpuna with the intent to embrace diverse cultural elements with dignity. Highlighted are the challenges to ancestral voices from the past. Colonisation is an unseen process that cloaks our bodies. I desire to promote a Māori world view where mainstream views currently dominate. My reimagined Tūpuna portraits that combine my Māori heritage and influences of the Renaissance style, are instinctively reimagined from the guidance of my tūpuna. In my artworks there is a mixture of delight and repulsion and this is my intention that I apply to my imagery. Having the symbolic meaning of the use of mirrors in my art is wonderfully ambiguous. The mirrors reflect a hidden truth. Thus, the image that appears can be thought of as being more revealing than the mere surface appearance. The mirrored surfaces give the intent of a reflection of ourselves and our gaze that is returned by the very gaze that looks. We watch ourselves watching ourselves. Mirrors as a symbol in art became closely connected with women,a common place theme in art history. The result is a surreal mix tape of genres that both attract and repel simultaneously. Joanne has won major New Zealand and global art awards for her art and photography along with being a finalists in prestigious art competitions throughout New Zealand and global. The World Art Games international art calendar 2022 successful submission is a recent highlight along with the New Zealand Parkin prize award this year. She continues to exhibit, and sell her work internationally and throughout New Zealand.Paris and Croatia a highlight! Joanne artworks have featured in international books and newspapers globally along with New Zealand featured magazine and news articles. She currently is beautifying her home district of where she lives with mural projects with children and is involved with charity art projects inspiring the art everywhere. My art worldview The art of modern society has a myriad of works of art that spring from individual emotional sensibilities and various materials and applications. The division and dissolution of art forms, colors, light, sound, and various ideologies are expanding the concept of art value. These days, ideas and inventions accelerate the development of art and affect society, economy and culture as a whole. Such changes can confuse the spiritual world of artists. I am no exception. I had a slump too. However, after a hard time, in 2015 I built my own art world by enhancing the completeness of the technology handed down in my country. Pottery, a traditional and original work, is at the center of my art world. Characteristics of Rice jar The unique production technology of the Korean people, which is not found in any other country in the world, is to make pottery by tapping clay with "panjangjil-tarum." The comb pattern of the tool remained on the surface to enhance the artistry of the work, and from 2020, it applied for a patent for the invention by painting "ottchil" (natural lacquer) that has waterproof, heat dissipation, and insect repellent effects. Ceramic's inspiration for visual art. Gyeongju is my hometown and place of inspiration from art work and pottery is a craft that is easy to understand Korean life. Especially, I often go to see pottery in Gyeongju Museum. The museum has a large collection of artifacts. the idea treasure of my work...here

Date of Birth: 6th January 1953 Living in Somerset in the United Kingdom. Following two careers, the British Army and a priest in the Church of England, I retired early due to chronic ill health. Following retirement, I took up art again and found it essential to support my mental health and wellbeing. Rediscovering old skills, developing new ones and gaining a network of artist friends has been a wonderful experience. I have been a member of the World Art Games for just over seven years and have been to events in Croatia and Montenegro as part of the British Contingent. There I delivered two drawing workshops which I enjoyed very much; I like to think that others did too! This was not my first time leading art workshops. As a clergyman visiting local schools, I sometimes taught the school children how to use water colours. As well as WAG exhibitions in Europe, I have exhibited in both Bristol and Taunton in the UK. One of those events was a solo exhibition concentrating on my life drawings and paintings. I have been Artist In Residence at various small businesses in Taunton, including Somerset County Cricket Club, which frequently provides players for our national team. I was the first ever Artist In Residence for the Taunton Flower Show which is believed to be one of the longest running flower shows in the world. My paintings can be found in locations as far afield as Puerto Rico and the EU Education department in Brussels. I enjoy painting and drawing the landscape around me, and I like drawing people, not just in formal classes, but as they go about their daily lives. I run a life drawing class and an Urban Sketchers group. My preferred media is acrylic and pastels but I also use watercolour and have recently branched out into oils. In recent years, she has combined her love of both fields of art; painting and sculpting, by focusing on creating visual compositions in a way of painting on sculptures that she herself creates. The sculptures are colorful and full of joy of life, movement and imagination. Many years she sculpted and painted women and portraits of women, when the subject of self-image, exploitation and suffering of women occupied her and was the focus of the work while emphasizing facial expressions and body posture. The issue of marital relations has also taken an important place in her work. In early work, her sculptures were mainly naïve. With time passing her work became realistic and figurative. Her abstract work is characterized in vivid colors and it radiates beauty, light, dynamism and harmony and reflect her feelings and the balance she has reached in her adult life. As an example of the search for harmonious and colorful connections, she recently created a series of ball sculptures. Balls that form a chain. While the sphere is a perfect geometric shape, the spheres that Rachel creates on wheels have no perfection in them and each sphere in itself, despite its color, is trivial. By placing the balls and connecting them, Rachel examines the relations in space. Only when the balls are threaded and bonded together, the harmonious feeling is created and the perfection that does not exist in the individual balls becomes evident. The diversity of the individual spheres, in terms of the rhythms and colors and the diversity of the circles and shapes, connects into a whole and creates a composition and synergy in terms of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. Rachel has exhibited in many exhibitions in Israel, in Russia and in an international exhibition of naive art in Poland. Living in Karmiel city, there I work and teach art in my studio. I am a multidisciplinary artist mainly engaged in painting and sculpture in an iron mesh, or the combination of the two mediums. Finished my curator studies in "Seminar Hakibutzim" college. Have a B.A. in arts from Haifa University. Studied Art education in "Oranim" College, teaching Art for over thirty years and retired from the education system four years ago. I am a member of the national artists association, member in Haifa and artists union, a member of The Association for the Study of Gender Art Women And a member of WAG an international union (WORLD ART GAMES ISRAEL). In my works I draw images from within my immediate surroundings. I borrow from reality without shedding them. These images are drawn from a collection of objects that I "hoard" Part of collective and personal memory. For me, they echo as exciting -happy moments alongside other more painful ones. All of these moments are fractions and parts from "the Entire Scene". Some of the images are taken from photographs I took in open space or from recordings of family-social events. I'm doing this not only for the need to release a heavy, burdening emotional charge. but also, with a strong desire to find cooperativeness and even to inspire identification with the viewer. In my works I combine this image and texture with the desire to emphasize materialism when i create multiple layers. Art is where I can capture the essence of my perception of my world. The open and tangible world alongside this mystical side This is a process that for me constitutes self-reflection alongside emotional moments of catharsis. Over the years, I took part in numerous exhibitions around the country and world. In April 2020 virtual exhibitions in: MICHAELSON APPLIED ART GALLERY; WAG world art games In September 2019 exhibition in MEXICO I took part with five childrens from Karmiel. In June 2019 exhibition in Katovich - Poland In April 2019 participate in ''Festival basalt stone" in Tiberia, Israel. In March 2019 participating in an exhibition taking place in London, at the "Espacio" gallery. In October 2018 I presents a Solo exhibition called "Diagnosis" in Karmiel. Sabine Poppe
For German-born, New Zealand-based artist, Sabine Poppe, art has created a world where no words are needed - a place where individuality and selfexpression are celebrated. Inspired by the complexity and beauty of the human face, Poppe possesses the ability to connect with her audience directly through the eyes of her portraits. Through her bright and vibrant use of colour, and bold brushstrokes, Poppe's work is both exuberant and striking. As the saying goes, eyes are the windows to the soul, and through Poppe's work, innermost feelings and emotions are revealed. Each painting has a story to tell, and a voice demanding to be heard. As we navigate our way through times of uncertainty, Poppe's paintings reflect and reinforce the pure joy that comes with being alive. From here, there is a sense of escapism and happiness for those who find themselves fortunate enough to be mesmerized by her magic. “My art makes it possible for me to connect with people who see the world as I do, and who might be dreaming of a life free of boundaries, where normal rules don't apply. Poppe's paintings are highly sought after both within New Zealand, and abroad. She has won top art awards, exhibited from Paris to New York, Vienna and Zagreb to New Zealand. She has sold out solo exhibitions; and had her work published in magazines, newspapers, and books; from the New York Arts Magazine to the recent book, Ko Aotearoa Tātou- We are New Zealand by M.Elvy, P.Morris, and J. Norcliffe. In addition to this, Poppe is currently the World Art Games New Zealand President.

I have always been divided between Art and Literature. I studied English and Spanish Literature at Newcastle University and then decided to become a teacher. I have taught many subjects English, German, Spanish, Media Studies, Citizenship to most ages – 7yrs to adult and also English to foreign students. During all this period, Art was a great hobby and I attended many courses, with famous artists, during my free time. I also became passionate about Drama, a new subject in schools. I started directing plays and taking students to visit the theatre in London and Stratford. Then I had the opportunity to go to Bristol University to study Art and Aesthetics. It was a very interesting and unusual course, not offered by any other university – a study of all the arts with all the philosophical reasons for this. It was absolutely perfect for me and life-changing. I have a great passion for all the Arts: music, dance, photography, drama, painting, literature. It's been difficult to choose where to direct my time. Of course, I started a club for arts students who wanted to go to university – and their parents! It was very successful! During lockdown I have achieved many things! The most important is that I achieved the important qualification of Chartered Manager, which means that I have transferrable skills so that I can be employed or give advice to any company. More importantly, I am the first person IN THE WORLD to be a Chartered Manager for Cultural Industries! I achieved this with much encouragement and support from Leadership 4 Today, Doctor MOJ, who provided first-class coaching and support. But I also used all my experience as President of WAG UK to achieve the qualification. My second achievement was my dual citizenship with Germany in 2021. This has given me freedom to travel without a Visa. One of my 6 referees was Silke Oldenhage, former President of WAG Germany, whom I met through the World Art Games and I would like to thank her in this public space. My paintings reflect my interests, in this case Italy and the myth of antiquity. My friend owns a restaurant called Re Mida ( King Midas) I painted “ Zoe” for her because this poor girl was turned to gold as a result of her father's greed. My poems are more intimate and generally reflect our human condition. It's always been my great privilege to be a member of World Art Games International because I believe that it entirely reflects my values and I am so happy to find a wonderful organisation like this. By being a member of well-run organisations, maybe you can't change the world, but you can change your life! Big hugs to everyone! Contact: E-mail: vanessagarside1@aol.com Tel. 0044 7925585605 145

Artist and poet I deal in my paintings and poems (in Hebrew & English) with the subjects of our fragile planet ecology, society injustice, and the quest for peace. In my paintings, one can find wildlife in danger of extinction, Africa and all its problems, Migrating birds are an inspiration and metaphor for peace without borders. A New painful subject is #METOO and the murder of women in the family. I use mixed media techniques, transparent and opaque, mainly on paper. Streams of spontaneous running paint cages a blurred deer, rudely trod upon by my sole. An elephant with a broken task appears out of chaos. An abused nude body of a woman, head covered with a leaf of a fig tree, and a knife and fork beside her. HUBBLING Hubbling Seven billion people. Hubbling in space, visiting the moon, discovering galaxies, did not pace towards each other.
