Sleep Matters in Mental Health
Date: Wednesday 10 August 2022, 9:00am - 12:00pm Facilitator: Ruth Troughton|Cost: $99 per person Sleep is essential for health and wellbeing. This workshop will explore aspects of sleep and strategies to optimise sleep ‘health’, based on perspectives from neurobiology and the two-way influence of brain and body. It will emphasise the importance of sleep for health and wellbeing and aims to equip attendees with practical strategies for self-management and to help clients.
Anxiety Disorders: Understanding and Providing Effective Support
Date: Thursday 18 & 25 August 2022 (over two parts) 9:00am - 12:30pm | Cost: $229 per person Facilitators: Dr Chris Taua & Paula Rountree Gain a fundamental understanding of the various types of anxiety issues that sit within the umbrella term of Anxiety Disorders. These include generalised anxiety, phobias, panic, PTSD, OCD, and other specific issues such as social anxiety. An overview of effective, recommended responses and supportive strategies will be overviewed to guide participants in supporting individuals who experience anxiety.

Skills to Assist Clients
Date: Thursday 1 September 2022, 9:00am - 1:00pm Facilitator: Sharon Bennett|Cost: $129 per person Change is constant, yet some change is harder to manage than others. This workshop will explore change, to better understand it. It will look into aspects of perception and control, and how these processes play a key role in managing the change before us. It will be useful for those in roles who want to develop their skills in helping clients to better navigate change, such as social workers, support people and caring professionals.
