FRIENDS AND FAMILY CPR (IN-PERSON)

This program was developed to instruct parents, grandparents, babysitters and nursery school personnel on prompt care for a choking infant or child along with CPR skills. Additionally, the course provides instruction on child safety and childproofing the home.

YOGA FOR ADDICTION RECOVERY AND OVERCOMING EATING DISORDERS (VIRTUAL)

Yoga has many mind and body benefits that can aid in recovery from a substance use disorder, such as alcoholism or drug addiction, and in overcoming an eating disorder. The practice can stabilize your mood, help you relax and manage anxiety, allow you to reconnect with your body, increase self-control and coping skills, explore selfcompassion and acceptance and even improve insomnia.

Our area hospitals are our partners in health, whether in-patient or at home. These are a few of the many educational courses and programs, both virtual and in-person, that ensure residents have the knowledge to maintain healthy minds and bodies. FRESH START SMOKING CESSATION (IN-PERSON)

This four-session program is available to help you to quit smoking. The decision to quit smoking is a fresh start to a new life. The sessions will teach you how to stop and how to stay stopped, how to cope with urges and withdrawal, medication options and many other tools to help you quit.

PREPARATION FOR BREASTFEEDING (VIRTUAL)

This class provides mothers-to-be and their partners the opportunity to learn more about the art and science of breastfeeding. Although breastfeeding is a natural process, it is not instinctive. This one-night class will provide information and support needed for a positive nursing experience.
