Lots of you may be wondering how a nice, normal girl like myself became a witch. LOL, just kidding. I’m not a witch, I just talk to the moon, manifest stuff and sell magic rocks. Back in the 1800s, I would probably have been considered one, but these days I’m called an “energy worker.” Actually, I don’t really care what you call it, because it’s pretty freaking awesome.

I‘ve always been on a quest to find out how we can truly live in the moment. I breathed and exhaled a million times over, and trusted that what I needed would be put in front of me. I began experimenting with different stones and meditation, intention settings and manifesting the crap out of my life. And you know what? It flipping worked. I found that I’m happier, more present, less stressed out and living a fuller life than ever before. That’s not to say everything has been perfect. Life is still throwing sh*t bombs at me, but I am much better at dodging them, dusting myself off and getting up. Always get back up. In fact, now I pop up like a Tommee Tippee cup.

Moon & Stone is my jam. My partner, Lauren, and I have a vintage camper named Moonshine where we showcase our collection. We have our kids hanging around, we jam crystals in our bras and we go out sharing our light. I still get overdressed for just about every occasion, and now I just trust in my fashion even more. I feel more confident in my over-the-top gowns and continue to just “do me” 100% of the time. I’m loving raw stones, gems and rocks as beautiful pieces of wearable art when adorned with gold and silver, polished and cut into a million facets. More is once again, more. These badass jewels hold vibrations, meanings and energy that can bring you peace, abundance or enlightenment.

How do crystals work? Well, a human’s vibration or energy changes from moment to moment. When you’re upset, your vibration may rise. When you’re depressed, it may lag. However, gemstones and minerals have a stable and constant frequency all their own. They can be tools to steady, raise or lower your vibration, based on the work that you do with them. Different stones are related to different parts of your body and different “chakras’; or energy portholes that relate to a certain emotion. When you are in a balanced state and your vibration is energized you can move through the world in a way that doesn’t limit your potential. You trust your gut, your soul begins to speak louder and the Negative Nelly in your head shuts the heck up, finally. Who doesn’t want that?!

One of my all-time favorites is amethyst. This purple stone is best used for the crown and the third eye chakras, giving it a wonderful power of guidance, peace and calm. Three kids? No problem, gonna drench myself in these. In ancient Egypt it was used as a protective charm against evil spirits; now it protects me against cranky teens. Amethyst can also be worn close to the heart in a necklace to help circulate the energy from heart to head and back again. Purifies your aura and blocks negative energies. Office Christmas parties? Hell yes.

CITRINE

Citrine is the stone of abundance and joy. With energy and healing properties of the sun, it can assist in manifesting prosperity and success associated with the solar plexus chakra. It’s sunshine on a gray day, or a little pick-me-up when you can’t find your favorite sunglasses. Citrine takes its color from the traces of iron in the quartz; it can be anything from a pale yellow to a bright amber. It has a hexagonal crystal system and can be carved into beautiful jewelry shapes. I love the glisten of this emerald-cut citrine bracelet mixed with the feathers on a peachy dress, filling me with confidence and light!

TURQUOISE

Turquoise is thought to be a super healer. When worn around the neck it is particularly helpful for the throat chakra; this is the center of communication. Got something to say? Go for it. Just make sure that you don’t put your foot in your mouth with your mother-in-law at Thanksgiving dinner. Turquoise will help you speak thoughtfully and communicate clearly (hopefully you can hold some things back). It is also a soothing stone during times of transformation, and I can’t think of a better sidekick for post-pandemic changes.

MOONSTONE

Moonstone is the stone of new beginnings. It is deeply connected to feminine energy and energy that is given off by the phases of the moon. This stone teaches you to embrace the transitions of life, explore hidden truths and come to a deeper understanding of who you really are. Moon and Stone was named with this mission in mind. To dive into a new way of being without fear, trusting the universe and allowing yourself to be guided by the moon toward a full life. Trust that the universe will provide exactly what you need.

Whether you enjoy raw minerals or faceted gems that have been fashioned into fine jewelry, remember to set your intentions with your jewels. They are there to work for you and with you. But without your guidance and trust, they can be lost without a purpose. Sit with them, spend time meditating or being peaceful with them. Enjoy their beauty and tell them what you want. You’ll be surprised at how the universe responds. Trust, have faith, believe it, manifest it. We got you.
