in 1998, i assumed the Position oF executive director oF monmouth medical center. as chief executive officer, i have held responsibility for the daily operations of monmouth, a barnabas health facility and one of the state’s largest teaching hospitals. after nearly 20 years as monmouth’s chief executive, i have been named to the position of executive vice president of barnabas health and chief executive of monmouth medical center, southern campus, and as of april 1, i’m turning over the reins of monmouth medical center to my longtime chief operating officer, bill arnold. bill’s tenure at monmouth mirrors mine as executive director—he joined the hospital in 1998 as administrative director of operations. as chief operating officer since 2006, bill has been recognized as a senior executive who has established himself as a leader in the development of strategic partnerships and a champion in the growth of both outpatient and emergency services. during his tenure at monmouth medical center, bill has developed great community relationships, which place him and the hospital prominently in the community. over the last 17 years, bill and i have developed a unique rapport as leaders of monmouth medical center. together, we have helped guide monmouth to national and statewide distinction, including the thompson top 100 Performance improvement leaders award, and have overseen a period of tremendous growth—in patient volume and services, and in the merger with Kimball medical center, which is now monmouth medical center, southern campus. working together, we have been able to achieve our goals and ensure that monmouth medical center and monmouth medical center, southern campus, continue to thrive as vital resources for healthier communities. it has been my tremendous honor to serve in the top leadership role at monmouth medical center—where i began my career as a surgical resident and where i based my entire professional career as a general surgeon—serving as program director of the general surgery residency program and as president of the hospital’s 900-member medical and dental staff. through my new role, i look forward to participating in clinical integration, strategy and growth as barnabas health expands and combines forces with robert wood Johnson health system to create the state’s largest health system and one of the largest in the nation. sincerely,
Frank Vozos, M.D., and Bill Arnold

LEARNING ABOUT SOLAR ENERGY SPECIAL PROMOTION BY
Do you have a swimming pool and can’t live without air-conditioning—both of which make your electric sky high? One of the latest products AT HOME to save money inside and out is solar energy. Only 1% of homes in the U.S. (that is 1,339,571 houses) have solar panels today. You would have to go around the Earth FIVE TIMES to get to 1,339,571 miles… and we are just getting started. Solar energy market is like the smart phone market of ten years ago. You have to get it. The only difference is the smart phone costs money and solar energy saves money. So when we are seeing our electric bills going through the roof—solar energy will lower them. In fact, over 20 years it will save you around $20,000. With that $20 grand in your pocket, you can buy 40,000 donuts which is enough to last you 109 years (without counting the cost of heart surgery). Whether you want to save $20,000, go around the earth five times, or eat a lot of doughnuts; solar energy will save money AT HOME inside and out. To learn more about the benefits of solar energy AT HOME contact Suntuity, the largest renewable company in the world to save money. For more information on solar energy contact Suntuity at john.knecht@suntuity.com. *Numbers used are for informational purposes only. Actual savings will vary based on the final system size, design, configuration, utility rates, applicable rebates, your ability to realize tax benefits, and your family’s energy usage.
Take control of your rising energy bills and convert your home to solar power. Find out how you can save money and help the environment by going Solar.
NOW IS THE TIME TO GO SOLAR!

April/May issue extols the virtues of home and hearth, and this year is no different. But a look at the pictures starting on page 34 will reveal why this “home issue” has me especially excited about one feature of a home: the backyard pool. Yes, it’s a bit early to use one. Still, those lovely pool images have me psyched for a swim. We hope this issue of Monmouth Health & Life gives you similar inspiration—indoors and out. On page 28, read how the redo of a Spring Lake summer home by just the right designers reflected the style and personality of the homeowners and created the perfect “seaside escape.” And on page 20, intriguing items for the home prove that black and white—far from being tepid inferiors to color—can be a lively duo indeed. (One piece may make you wonder: Is it a chair, a picture of a chair, or both?) Even our travel article has something to say about design. On page 62, visit a storied Beaux-Arts Manhattan hotel that’s a showplace once again, as it was 112 years ago, thanks to a meticulous architectural restoration. It’s a great destination for an almost “staycation” when you want to hang onto those frequent-flyer miles. There’s much more, of course, including three delicious gluten-free recipes (page 48). See a colorful cocktail made with hibiscus tea (page 54). And on page 16, discover five local businesses that can help you make your garden a stunner. Enjoy this home issue—and springtime!

The Fabulous 50’s W
ELCOME to the latest edition of Fiscal Fitness! It’s mid-March and Spring is right around the corner. Tulips are pushing their way through the ground, the days are growing longer and I can smell the salt air of the ocean. Life at the Jersey Shore—it doesn’t get any better than this. The BIG 50 I recently joined the ranks of the fifty & over crowd. It made me think about the changes taking place in my own life and why that number has such a triggering effect. We start asking ourselves—will I have enough to retire? Where do I want to live in my golden years? Should I downsize? Buy a condo? What will I do with my time once I am an emptynester? For many of my clients, the kids are out of the house. Conversations start taking place about longer-term care, not only for ourselves, but for our parents. Isn’t it time to step back and start planning? Conduct a Lifestyle Analysis: Reconstruct your day to day living expenses. How will they change once you retire? Or for that matter, what if you were suddenly single? When preparing for client meetings, I request an expense worksheet to be completed—both present and anticipated expenses. For many, when the columns are finally totaled, it can be quite an eye opener. Are you really spending that much dining out? It’s been well documented in the field of behavioral economics that people who use plastic unconsciously spend more than those who pay with cash. Try using cash for a week. How long will your money last? With interest rates still at historical lows, what are you really earning on your cash after inflation and taxes (commonly referred to as your real rate of return)? Rising healthcare costs have far exceeded the average rate of inflation. When projecting your income in retirement, are you taking inflation into consideration? With traditional pensions going away, many people are taking a fresh look at annuities to supplement their income. The problem is, there are so many choices and confusion
about these vehicles, that it becomes difficult to know if one is right for you. I approach annuities as one of many available tools in a portfolio. Social Security Benefits Should we incorporate social security benefits into our long-term planning? We keep hearing that the Social Security trust fund will run out, just as I hit normal retirement age. So what’s plan B? Do we use a reduced projection of benefits? If you are divorced, you can receive social security benefits based on your ex-spouses work history even if he or she is remarried. Generally speaking, in order to receive benefits from your ex-spouse, you must be: • Age 62 or older • Have been married at least 10 years • Divorced at least 2 years • You are not married For the Ladies in the Room Do you have a clear road map for both good times and bad? As the grey divorce trend continues, I meet far too many women who are in the dark about their finances. We all know the statistics that we are outliving our male counterparts. The bottom line—you must take control to ensure you are prepared for retirement and for living alone. It’s no surprise that nearly three out of four of nursing home residents are women, according to AARP Public Policy Institute. You need to know what Medicaid and Medicare doesn’t pay for and plan accordingly. If you have never taken an active role in how the finances are managed, now may be the time. As a veteran in wealth management, I have been advising couples and newly independent women take control of their financial future for over twenty years. Together we can make it happen.

When books hit home Reading can take you to faraway places—and also very near ones! At this year’s recent Ye Olde Monmouth County Authors Book Faire, the Monmouth County Genealogy Society and the Shrewsbury Historical Society celebrated 16 authors who have written about our area, including:
Randall Gabrielan, who has penned more than 40 books, many retelling the history of Monmouth towns. His most recent, Monmouth County: Past & Present, contains more than 400 historic and present-day images that show changing landscapes and streetscapes over time.
Roberta Van Anda, whose 2015 release, Legendary Locals of Rumson, tells the story of how the borough developed into a town of country estates and an escape for New York City elites.
Joseph Grabas, author of Owning New Jersey. Ever wonder how a particular street got its name or how real estate changes ownership in the Garden State? This volume, which includes a number of vignettes about Monmouth, will enlighten you.

The culinary corner Make it a habit Habit Burger opened its first location in Monmouth and it doesn’t disappoint. The char-grilled burgers are delicious (albeit a bit thin; order a double), the surroundings superclean and the employees friendly and helpful. One staff member rushed over to cut our editor-in-chief’s chicken sandwich in half when he saw her struggling with it! She didn’t have room for dessert, but she overheard that the shakes are worth the caloric splurge. The Habit Burger Grill, 178 Route 35, Eatontown, 732.544.5401; habitburger.com
Pastry perfection Teammates in the kitchen since 2009, Laura Martelli and Matthew Rosenzweig are now vying for culinary gold. Head bakers at The Flaky Tart in Atlantic Highlands, the pair were recently named semifinalists for the James Beard Foundation’s Outstanding Baker award. This honor from the nonprofit culinary arts organization recognizes “a chef or baker who prepares bread, pastries or desserts in a retail bakery, and who serves as a national standard-bearer of excellence.” The self-trained chefs share a passion for art and baking. Their creative sweet and savory treats are made with fresh, local ingredients and have been a delight with locals since the two met at the bakery seven years ago. Raising master bakers isn’t new at The Flaky Tart—chef Marie Jackson was named a semifinalist for the JBF Outstanding Pastry Chef award in 2008 and 2009. tie the
knot! Move over, messy bun. it’s the top knot’s time to shine.
A-list celebrities apparently got the memo. Jennifer Lawrence, Kim Kardashian, Katie Holmes and many other stars have been spotted on the red carpet sporting top knots. And you should be wearing one too—if you have shoulderlength hair or longer—because it’s a universally flattering ’do. By adding volume at the crown, a top knot visually “lifts” the face, drawing the eye up and creating the illusion of more pronounced cheekbones. A top knot can be sleek and slicked back like Kim’s, relaxed and tousled like Katie’s or somewhere in between like Jennifer’s. They all start the same way—gather your hair into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic. Then twist the hair until it starts to coil around itself or divide the ponytail into two sections, twist them together and wrap the rope braid around the elastic. Pin the knot into place with a few bobby pins and you’re ready for a day at the office or a night on the town.

The Unterberg Children’s Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center marks a decade of caring for children.
It was on December 28, 2005, that Monmouth Medical Riddle: Why is a hospital luckier than a kid? Celebrating
High honor for a children’s doctor Who’s the Garden State’s “Pediatrician of the Year”? The choice will likely please all of the friends of Monmouth Medical Center—and surprise none. It’s Margaret C. Fisher, M.D., chair of the medical center’s Department of Pediatrics and medical director of The Unterberg Children’s Hospital. Dr. Fisher was selected for the 2016 honor by the New Jersey Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (NJAAP). It marks “the recognition and respect of peers for consistently providing an exceptional level of care to patients and families and distinguished contributions to the pediatric profession.” And it’s hard to imagine a children’s doctor anywhere in America—let alone in New Jersey—who more deserves such recognition and respect. Eminence makes some outstanding individuals seem unapproachable, but somehow that has never happened to Dr. Meg Fisher. She has the same delighted rapport with individual children that she
had before she earned her stripes as an internationally renowned expert on pediatric infectious diseases (and immunization advocate). She’s the AAP chapter’s immediate past present and—to cite just one of her dozens of publications and other accomplishments—she’s editor-inchief of an AAP-published book titled Immunizations & Infectious Diseases: An Informed Parent’s Guide. She is also a medical educator of the first rank. At conferences and annual meetings, says NJAAP Executive Director Fran Gallagher, “her unique combination of world-class expertise, unbridled enthusiasm and engaging style fills every seat in the house.” Dr. Fisher will be recognized at the chapter’s annual gala in late April in Somerset. But she’s already voiced her gratitude for the “Pediatrician of the Year” designation—and characteristically

bounced the plaudits right back at her Monmouth Medical Center colleagues and her patients’ families. “It is a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated group of healthcare professionals at an exceptional facility and provide care to the children whose families put their faith in all of us,” she said.

Thomas Williams and his wife Gayle.
Saved from a
‘perfect storm’ Fast action by family, first responders and Monmouth Medical Center clinicians restores a heart-attack patient to health. There’s no good time to have a heart attack, but the middle of a blizzard is a very bad one. Fortunately, when Oceanport resident Thomas Williams suffered that fate this winter, the story had a happy ending. Like countless other residents, the 69-year-old painting contractor spent hours on Saturday, January 23, digging out from the heavy snowstorm that was hitting our region. At the height of the blizzard, he suffered a massive heart attack. But unlike nine others on the East Coast who died from cardiac arrest while shoveling snow, Thomas survived—thanks to the quick reactions of his wife, the Oceanport First Aid Squad and a team of doctors and nurses at Monmouth Medical Center. “I remember pushing the snow blower, coming inside and taking off my boots, and feeling short of breath,” he says. “I took two baby aspirins, and then my wife told me to lie down on the couch.” His wife, Gayle, asked if she should call the EMTs, and when he told her, “I think you’d better,” she knew it was serious. Moments later, he suffered what is known as v-fib—ventricular fibrillation—the most serious cardiac rhythm disturbance. “With v-fib, the lower chambers of the heart quiver and the heart can’t pump any blood, causing cardiac arrest,” says Monmouth Medical Center interventional cardiologist Michael A. Wappel, M.D., who performed emergency cardiac catheterization and percutaneous intervention that opened Thomas’ blocked artery and restored the function of his heart. Dr. Wappel notes that while the blizzard created a “perfect storm” of conditions that led to Thomas’ heart attack—severe cold and a great deal of wet, heavy snow—an equivalent “perfect storm” of

timely reactions fortunately made his recovery possible. “Everything worked perfectly,” says the doctor. First Gayle, a retired Long Branch high school guidance counselor, called 911 immediately and performed CPR until help arrive. (She’d been certified in the technique by the Oceanport First Aid Squad years before, when the older of her two sons was born with a congenital heart blockage.) The EMTs recognized Thomas’ lethal arrhythmia and shocked his heart to get it beating again, and then transported him to Monmouth Medical Center’s Emergency Department, where he arrived at 4:30 p.m. Among the first responders playing key roles in his transport and emergency treatment were Oceanport police officers Matthew Cole and William Resnyk, fireman Jerry Bertekap and volunteer fireman Stuart Briskey. In Monmouth’s ER a “Code STEMI” was begun—the process put in place to treat all heart-attack patients. Back in 2006, Monmouth Medical Center joined the American College of

most of the basics were there: beds, a dining room table, a kitchen table, comfy chairs and sofas, and window treatments. But a young family needed professional help to take their Spring Lake summer home across the finish line. “We used as many of their pieces as we could,” says Jon Martinez of Beautiful & Gracious Home Interiors in Asbury Park, who worked on the project with partner James MacDonald. The designers repositioned furniture, selected wallpaper, fabricated custom rugs and shopped for additional furniture, lighting and accessories. “It was very rewarding,” says Martinez. See the results on these pages. For the high-traffic living room the designers chose a circular coffee table surrounded by four chairs. “There’s nowhere to put a sofa because the room has four points of access,” says designer Jon Martinez. “So we created a nice, easy flow with the same amount of seating.” Grasscloth wallpaper in a summery seafoam shade covers the walls, while a custom area rug in beige and coral complements the solid and striped fabrics of the chairs.

In the family room, Martinez and MacDonald worked with the existing furniture, updating the trio of wood tables with crema marble tops and creating custom pillows that pick up the colors of the adjacent living room. Anchoring the space is a custom area rug in the same colors as the living room rug—only instead of beige with a coral border it’s the reverse. Flanking the windows: a collection of 1920s black-and-white sailing prints that the designers discovered in an antiques shop. “We wanted to incorporate the nautical theme in an elegant way,” says Martinez.

Pivoting the dining room table so that it is centered on the French doors instantly opened up the floor plan and allowed for easier traffic flow. Over the table hangs a stunning chandelier adorned with mother-of-pearl, silver leaf and hundreds of freshwater pearls in pink, coral and cream tones. “It brings in the beach theme in a very subtle and sophisticated way, Martinez says. The designers “finished off” the kitchen by painting the walls a soft buttery yellow, introducing foliage prints to complement the existing valance and pillows, and replacing the light fixtures with contemporary globe pendants that make a bold statement. Under the table lies a beige indoor/outdoor area rug with a contrasting green border. “The kitchen is by the back door and gets a lot of traffic,” Martinez explains, “so we wanted a rug that could be brought outside and hosed off when it got dirty or when sand got on it.”

In the guest room, Martinez and his partner worked with the homeowners’ “beachy” window treatments and dust ruffle. Lamps fashioned from faux sea urchins sit atop distressed fruitwood tables, which flank a lacquered grasscloth headboard with whitewashed frame. Palm tree prints were borrowed from another room, and a natural sisal rug brings beauty as well as durability. “It’s not over-the-top beachy,” he says. “Since it’s an adult guest room, it’s a little more formal. You feel like you’re staying at a bed-and-breakfast.”

Although most dogs are natural swimmers, keep in mind that their swimming proficiency diminishes at night and as they get older.

a Tempting trio
can gluten-free mean delicious as well as healthy? you bet— anD these recipes prove it.
There are three secrets for making any day unforgettable: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here’s an enticing recipe for each—and yes, they’re all gluten-free. They’re from restaurateurs Jessica, Jennifer and Jill Emich, who—as triplets—naturally think in threes. They’re believers in using “nutritious, sustainable and wildly delicious ingredients” to create “holistic comfort food” that nourishes body, mind and heart. Some people need to go gluten-free. But why should they have all the fun?

Baked Eggs in Avocado Cups This is a breakfast high in protein and great fats to energize you as you begin your day. It’s wise to choose eggs that are on the small side, as their flavor is more concentrated and they’ll fit better in the avocado cups. For an extra kick and added protein, serve with salsa and a sprinkling of chopped bacon. Serves 2–4
n 2 ripe avocados n 4 small farm-fresh eggs n 1 Tb. ghee or unsalted butter, melted
n Sea salt to taste
n Preheat the oven to 400°F. n Cut the avocados in half lengthwise and remove the pits. Using a tablespoon, scoop out 1 to 2 tablespoons of avocado flesh from each half to create 4 cups, each large enough to hold one of your eggs. (This is a delicate process that can produce ideal results if the eggs are small.)
n Crack an egg into each avocado “cup,” yolks first, followed by whites if space allows. Drizzle each with the melted ghee and sprinkle with sea salt.
n Arrange the avocado cups in a small baking pan to fit them as close and snug as possible. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the egg whites look cooked through. Serve immediately. TIP: If you have left-over avocado you can rub the flesh lightly with a few drops of lemon and olive oil and cover tightly with plastic wrap to keep the freshness and make the color last longer. Best if eaten within a day or two.

Caesar Salad with Roasted Chickpeas This version of classic Caesar dressing is great as a dip for cold chicken, with raw veggies, on sandwiches or—of course—on salads. Consider making it in bigger batches and stashing it in the fridge so it will be at the ready for snacking. Serves 4–6
For the Classic Caesar dressing 2 large soft-boiled eggs ¼ cup fresh lemon juice 3 cloves garlic, minced ¾ Tb. anchovy paste 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce (check label to make sure it is gluten-free)
n n n n n
n ½ tsp. Dijon mustard n ½ cup shredded Pecorino Romano cheese
n 1 cup extra-virgin olive oil For the salad
n 3 heads romaine hearts, torn into bite-sized pieces
n ¼ cup roasted chickpeas
n First make the dressing: Put all of the ingredients except the olive oil in a food processor and blend for 30 to 60 seconds. With the food processor running, slowly drizzle the olive oil down the chute to emulsify the dressing into a creamy consistency.
n Put the romaine and roasted chickpeas in a salad bowl. Add the dressing and toss to coat. TIP: Feel free to get creative with your Caesar, perhaps adding crumbled bacon, soft-boiled egg, roasted tomatoes—or all three. Also, anchovy is a strong flavor. You may wish to start with less, then taste before your final mixing to see if you want to add the full amount.

Pan-Seared Fish with Crispy Skin Choose a fish that is available wild or sustainably farmed in our area. You can serve these crisp-skinned fillets on top of salads, as a main dish acccompanied by a vegetable serving, or with your favorite style of eggs. The acidity of lemon or lime can add some piquant flavor. Serves 4–6
n 4 to 6 fish fillets, about
n Use a sharp knife to score the skin
5 ounces each, skin on and bones out (salmon, bass, trout or snapper)
side of each fillet with shallow incisions, not piercing the flesh. This will help prevent the skin from curling up.
n 2 Tbs. unsalted
n Heat a large cast-iron skillet or sauté
butter, ghee, coconut oil or extra-virgin olive oil
pan to medium to high heat. Add the fat to the pan (preferably ghee) and salt both sides of the fish just before searing it.
n Sea salt to taste n 1 lemon, sliced, for serving
n Add the fish to the hot pan, skin side down, and let the skin crisp up and the flesh cook about two-thirds of the way through, 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the thickness. You can baste the fish with the fat as it is cooking, but do not move it until it is ready to be flipped. (Coax it with a spatula to see if it is ready.)
n Once the fish is cooked most of the way through and the skin is brown and crispy, flip the fish using a spatula. Cook flesh side down until just cooked through. This should only take a minute or two.
n Serve immediately with lemon slices to garnish. TIP: Keep an eye on the fish as you cook it, as overcooked fish loses its delicate flavor and can become more dry and “fishy”tasting.

here’s a cocktail to refresh your palate— and your state of mind too. Hibiscus tea takes the place of cranberry juice in this modern makeover of the classic cocktail, giving it a deep ruby hue—and health benefits too. Research suggests that drinking hibiscus tea may decrease blood pressure, lower levels of LDL (“bad”) cholesterol, boost the immune system and help in treating liver disease. It can be enjoyed in mocktails too!

elegant encore A storied Manhattan hotel enters a second golden age, thanks to a meticulous restoration by architect David Rockwell. by rita guarna sometimes the greatest adventures are those enjoyed close to home. If a Manhattan “staycation sounds tempting, spend a sojourn in the swank Carlton Hotel at Madison and 29th Street in the city’s re-energized NoMad neighborhood. The Beaux-Arts beauty is brimming with ultramodern amenities, while boasting an enchanting history fit for an Edith Wharton novel. Designed by renowned architect Harry Allen Jacobs, The Carlton originally opened as the Seville Hotel in 1904. Built of red brick with white terra-cotta trim on a rusticated limestone base, it featured such sculptural ornaments as rounded copper bays, cartouches and panels with foliage and lion heads. A stunning Tiffany-style glass skylight was also a focal point (later painted over to guard against World War II air raids).

Several years ago, architect David Rockwell completed a multimillion-dollar renovation that returned the hotel (renamed The Carlton in 1987) to its former grandeur. A fleur-de-lis on the original hotel’s second floor so captivated Rockwell that he made it a design motif. He salvaged an existing antique revolving door and put in herringbone-patterned wood floors, oiled-bronze handrails, distressed paneling and antique mirrors. The skylight made a comeback, all 317 rooms were tastefully transformed and a cascading two-story waterfall was installed in the lobby. If you stay, you’ll find Herald Square and all of Midtown’s thrills just a few blocks to the north and the three-story Limelight Marketplace just to the south and west. And after you’ve dined a time or two at the hotel’s own eatery, Millesime, take in a casual-yet-elegant meal at nearby Madison & Vine wine bar or DB Bistro Moderne, a Parisian-style bistro run by famed chef Daniel Boulud that serves contemporary FrenchAmerican fare. All rooms offer complimentary wireless Internet access, 42-inch LCD TVs, iPod docking stations and electronic safes. Not keen on leaving your pooch behind? For an extra $50 your furry friend can come along through the hotel’s pet-friendly package, which includes a doggie welcome treat, bed, blanket, leash and more—just another feature that makes a visit to The Carlton worth staying close by. This page, from top: Rooms at the reborn Carlton are done in a rich palette of browns, creams and golds. A crystal light fixture adorns the mezzanine level. The acclaimed 150-seat Millesime (French for “vintage”) is a casual seafood brasserie presided over by chef Laurent Manrique. Opposite, from top: Behind a soothing waterfall in the lobby there’s a vintage photo of the hotel in its infancy as the Seville more than a century ago. Raw oysters are just one of the enticing menu items at the Oyster Bar at Millesime. monmouth bergen he alth he alth & Life& Life | april/may | april 2016

Tighten Sagging Skin with New Technologies DR. THEOCHARIDES of Beginnings Aesthetic & Laser is at the forefront of ThermiRF®, a groundbreaking non-surgical technology for tightening loose, sagging skin and reducing cellulite with radio frequency generated heat that penetrates the layers of the dermis to promote collagen production. The beauty of ThermiRF® is that it can be used on parts of the face and body that once could not be tightened—with zero downtime! The technology is long lasting, has little or no discomfort and the process activates a natural healing response without damaging tissue. Dr. Theocharides’ office was one of 10 in the country to conduct a now completed study with ThermiVa®, one of the ThermiRF® technology treatments used for vaginal rejuvenation. Women with vaginal looseness, sexual dysfunction, dryness

and urinary leakage from birthing or aging experienced extraordinary results with this procedure, and it is now available for you! In addition Dr. Theocharides was one of a handful of qualified cosmetic physicians around the country who participated in the now ThermiSmooth250™ clinical study for cellulite reduction (now FDA approved). Through a series of four short, pain-free treatments, patients typically experience a tightening of the skin and subsequent shrinkage of the treated area. ThermiSmooth250™ effectively targets leg and buttock cellulite and abdominal fatty deposits to help patients achieve smoother looking skin that gradually tightens over time. For those who have had little success reducing through diet and exercise, ThermiSmooth250™ can be the perfect, nonsurgical solution!
