NATIONAL COUNCIL OF JEWISH WOMEN

During the holidays, the Essex chapter of the NCJW collected and donated more than 360 toys to their clients as well as children and families at the Focus Hispanic Center for Community Development. 3 NCJW members prepare toys to be donated to children in need.

MORRIS HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

The Theta Phi Alpha sorority at Montclair State University raised and donated $1,973 for Morris Habitat for Humanity. Each sorority member participated in the fundraising campaign, and the top three fundraisers were awarded a gift card for their efforts. 1 Theta Phi Alpha members visit the Morris Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Randolph.

MONTCLAIR FILM FESTIVAL

Organizers and friends of the Montclair Film Festival celebrated the group’s 10-year anniversary with programs like Virtual Cinema and Carpool Theater. More in-person events will be planned for the upcoming season. 4 MFF staff and volunteers work the Carpool Theater.

BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF ESSEX, HUDSON & UNION

More than 35 members of the BBBS Leadership Council, based in Newark, participated in a volunteer effort at the Community Food Bank of New Jersey during the holiday season. 2 The Leadership Council crew poses for a photo before their volunteer work.

FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE

Friends and family of the Livingston-based Friendship Circle participated in the annual Friendship Circle Walk. Part of the organization’s mission is to engage children and teens with special needs through a full range of experiences and to enrich, inspire and motivate youngsters. 5 Friendship Circle members participate in the group’s annual walk.
