Alexis Parcells, MD, FACS, a boardcertified plastic surgeon and skin care entrepreneur, is making waves in Monmouth County’s medical and beauty space. Born and raised in New Jersey, she considers Spring Lake her hometown and has come full circle, transforming the lives of women in her community through her expertise and passion.

It All Began in Spring Lake

Growing up in Spring Lake, Dr. Parcells has deep roots in the community. While her family became full-time residents during her college years, her formative years were filled with cherished memories of playing UNO under the boardwalk at the North End Pavilion and indulging in ice cream from Hoffman’s with friends.

Dr. Parcells was an ocean lifeguard during her college years at Georgetown University, and it was during this time she was diagnosed with melanoma on her back. This experience deeply influenced her commitment to protecting her skin and promoting sun safety. Recognizing the importance of early prevention, she now advocates for the use of SPF and sunprotective products, emphasizing that it is never too early to start.

Committed to Medicine

Dr. Parcells pursued higher education and met her husband, Bert, during medical school. They completed surgical residencies at Rutgers University, deepening their commitment to serving the local community. Returning to Monmouth County was a natural choice for them, where they now live with their two daughters and family dog.
