How to apply?

If you are ready for the rewarding challenge and the unique and want to gain new experience, then fill in the NEW EYES youth exchange . You can get the application form on our websites: www.waiyin.org.uk or contact Wai Yin Youth Team (see the contact details).

Programme Cost £80 per person (includes food, accommodation, activities and travelling to Sweden and Greece. For Manchester: free charge. You will be expected to cover your own spending money during the trips.

What happen next?

If you are shortlisted, you will be asked to come for a short interview. This will take 15—20 minutes.

Interview date: Week beginning 19th January 2015.

After the interview, 10 young people will selected to attend the first preparation meeting.

Within the group 6 of young people will be selected to go to Sweden in July and Greece in September 2015.

What do you need to do?

If you apply for this programme, you will need: 

To attend a preparation meeting where you can meet other young people



To work together as a group to prepare materials



To work with local women as a peer mentor and share your experience with Wai Yin Managers and other local organisation



To take initiative in planning, implementing, reviewing, reflecting and evaluating.



To take responsibility to follow instruction and be on time for the meetings.

What is NEW EYES?

Benefit of the programme

NEW EYES is a youth exchange programme for young people who are 16-24 years old.

You will meet people from Sweden and Greece and experience their cultures which will plant the seeds for a lifetime of international understanding

As a young person you will have the opportunity to travel abroad, make lifelong friends with young people from other countries and learn from each others.

You will grow and develop your confidence and independence with the ability to take advantage of the wider future opportunities that an exchange will open for you.

Activities of the programme You will take part in a wide range of activities: individual and/or group presentation, discussion, public speaking, games, research, peer learning, personal & cultural awareness.

You will return home with valuable experience to add on your CV. An experience such as this will make you more attractive to future employers or develop your own business.

Eligibility The NEW EYES Youth Exchange Programme is open to young people age 16-24 years old with current EU / British Passport You must also be a resident of the United Kingdom To qualify applications should have good IT Skills and show interest in entrepreneurship.
