What we have discovered
Since 2006 we have infused fresh thinking to solve a wide range of multi-faceted issues that face our iwi clients. Whether you are a pre or post settlement entity, an urban authority, or sit somewhere else along the Kaupapa Māori spectrum, we want you to know that we have specifically developed our systems so that we can walk the journey with you.
We often find that there are many common problems that our clients face. Many iwi organisations lack an IT infrastructure to underlie and best support their mahi.
We have tackled a number of systemic issues for iwi over the years, problems that are unique to the realm where iwi meets business. This will often lead to double handling, missing files that no-one can search or locate anymore, multiple sets of the same data floating around, and 12 versions of the same document - but no-one knows which one was officially approved. What is OMS?
OMS operations management system OMS is a Cloud based platform created to support management and staff, particularly those in the field or off-site on a daily basis. OMS provides the ability for iwi to access and complete reporting templates while out and about from a laptop, iPad or smartphone device. If staff are in remote areas with no internet available, OMS (locally stored) can operate off-line, then sync in with the network on your return to the office. You can easily monitor departments and projects from home or the office and view progress or evaluate your organisation’s response to client demand. OMS can be customised to meet your organisational requirements starting with your branding and customising the ‘look & feel’ to reflect your website. Whether you are in health, education, tourism, practically any industry, OMS is flexible and easy to use and can be integrated seamlessly.

Tribal Register connecting whānau, hapū, iwi Waka Digital has developed a Tribal Register, designed to assist you to meet the expanding and divergent needs of Tribal Authorities. When registers first started, they were often constructed in a narrow treaty settlement framework. Today, it is vital that the database evolves into a business critical tool that allows you to align resources, deliver outcomes, and communicate with your iwi members. Our Tribal Register solution is a Cloud based application hosted in our Tier 1 Data Centre in Auckland. Through the Cloud, the Tribal Register can be accessed internally at your office or remotely using internet capable devices such as smart phones, iPads, Tablets or Laptops. The database can be accessed by all of your units to ensure that they are able to focus their resources, delivery, and communication objectives efficiently. Practically everything you need from an iwi register can be done using our Tribal Register platform. We can configure our system to provide basic to advanced reporting at the click of a button.

What is FMS?
FMS fisheries management system Waka Digital in partnership with Te Ohu Kaimoana have created and deployed e-ika, a fisheries management platform designed to not only report back to the Ministry of Primary Industries on a quarterly basis, but also have the ability to generate reports on other aspects of fisheries (customary and commercial) that provide an intimate perspective of your fisheries rohe.
