Scholarships

Wakefield Girls' offers a number academic scholarships to students from Wakefield Girls' senior section and new students joining our Sixth Form from a different school.

We hold academic scholarship examinations annually in January for candidates. Music and Instrumental scholarships are awarded by competitive audition. Art scholarships are awarded by letter of application and informal discussion of a portfolio of work. Our Sports scholars will already have significantly represented Wakefield Girls' or their own school at sport and should apply by letter.

How To Apply

Please complete the application form on our website for a place in our sixth form. You can apply at any time but to secure your choice of subjects please apply before the end of February. Our Admissions Secretary can always be contacted for help: jblignaut@wgsf.net.

What happens next We will confirm receipt and arrange an informal interview with a member of the Senior Leadership Team. This is a chance for us to get to know one another.

We offer places following interviews and receipt of school reports, conditional upon satisfactory GCSE results.

Places are confirmed following GCSE results in August.
