WHAT IS A PALETTE? …the range of colors used by a particular artist.
WHY DO WE WORK IN COLOR PALETTES? Of all the elements that seem complicated when thinking about a color session, selecting the clothing colors that will look best tops the list. This is why we created the Palettes. Each palette has a distinct color selection, but not only that, it sets the stage in other areas such as the lighting we use, the sets we choose and the overall styling of the portrait. For each palette, we created BASE COLORS and ACCENT COLORS. Base colors are the main colors worn while the accent colors are to be used close to the face to frame it while not distracting. THE BAROQUE COLOR PALETTE IS CHARACTERIZED BY SIMPLICITY AND A SENSE OF THEATRE. DEEP COLORS, THE USE OF LIGHT AND SHADOW FOR DRAMATIC EFFECT AND SPECIFIC DEEP COLOR TONES ARE TRADEMARKS OF THIS PALETTE. BLACK IS A MAIN COMPONENT OF THIS PALETTE.

THE CLASSIC COLOR PALETTE IS CHARACTERIZED BY SATURATED, BOLDER COLORS. WITH INDIVIDUALS, BOLDER COLORS CAN BE USED TO CREATE STATEMENT PIECES.

Walden’s is often a beta test site for many new papers getting ready to coming into the marketplace. Many frames are available from other sources at cheaper prices, but at Walden’s, we carry a selection of the finest custom frames for our portrait pieces.
