• Before Packing: You want to reserve your movers or moving company at least eight weeks prior to your move during busy periods to guarantee availability on moving day. Once you have your movers selected, you can start to pack up your belongings in anticipation of their arrival.

Some moving companies will even pack for you, simplifying and streamlining the moving process.

By knowing the terms of the rental contract ahead of time, you will be well informed and able to determine if the location is the right one for you. Once you choose your location, a landlord should give you adequate written notice when rent or landlord services have been adjusted, and you should be able to discuss any clarifications or adjustments before a new lease is signed.

Many landlords and property management companies do their jobs well and care about the property they own as well as the people who live there. It is in their best interest to keep good tenants.
