The Evelyn Burrow Museum participating in Slow Art Day on April 6 The Burrow Museum at Wallace State is celebrating Slow Art Day on Saturday, April 6. Museum representatives believe the current “Illuminations" exhibition, which will be accompanied by recordings of Gregorian chanting, is great one for slowing down, even meditating, in an environment surrounded by art. Leave your stress behind, take time to wander the galleries, immerse yourself in artistic expression, and ponder for a while the works on view. Research suggests that most museumgoers spend on average just 28.6 seconds with each work in a given exhibition. Slow Art Day challenges you to choose a few works, and consider them for 10 minutes, then engage in a discussion around the works with your friends or our museum staff.
