Under Coach Narewski, Wallace State’s cross country teams have won a combined seven conference championships, five for the men and two for the women. They finished runner up in 2017, the first year back for both coach and team after retirement. Wallace State won a men’s track and field NJCAA national title in 1997 under Narewski – one of nine national championships for the college. A member of the NJCAA Track Hall of Fame and three-time NJCAA Coach of the Year, Narewski has more than 30 years of coaching experience. Prior to Wallace State, Narewski coached at Auburn, Kansas, Furman, Murray State, Clemson and Florida. Additional information and race results at athletics.wallacestate.edu/womenscrosscountry.

Coach Crider has more than 20 years of experience coaching multiple sports at the high school level, with more than 10 years coaching cross country and track and field at Cold Springs High School. There, he was part of four cross country and track and field state championships. He has been a business owner for more than 30 years. Well known in the local running community, Crider’s mission is trying his best to help in the development of the younger generation’s confidence, dreams, and athletic goals.
