The Wallace State Adult Education program is a nonprofit program dedicated to assisting individuals committed to improving their academic and life skills. Instruction is based on individual student need. Day and evening classes are offered FREE OF CHARGE on-campus in Hanceville and Oneonta, and at selected off-campus sites in Blount, Cullman, Morgan, and Winston Counties. GED EXAM FEE VOUCHERS The GED classes are divided into progression levels toward the GED Exam and the orientation will start that process for each student individually. As the student progresses, up to $120 in vouchers may be earned to apply toward the cost of the GED Exam. NON-TRADITIONAL HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA The non-traditional high school diploma allows students who either dropped out of high school without earning the essential number of credits to graduate or who failed certain sections of the former Alabama High School Graduation Exam to complete their high school diploma. SCHOLARSHIP Wallace State Adult Education students who successfully complete the GED receive a scholarship for a free 3-hour college-credit class.
