Proposed Uniform Changes September 2014 Proposed Uniform: Years 7-11
BOYS Black shoes (no pumps or trainers) Black or grey socks Black trousers

GIRLS Black shoes (no pumps or trainers) White or black socks / tights Black plain skirt, below the knee or black pinafore with a plain skirt below the knee or black trousers School tie (new design) White shirt Blue school blazer (with badge)
Pupils will be designing the new logo for the blazer badge. Additional Requirements: Personal Equipment Students must bring the following to each lesson: Academy planner Pen, pencil, ruler and pencil case Appropriate exercise books and textbooks for the day Students will be supplied with an Academy bag large enough to carry their equipment for the day. All students must carry a bag.
Protective Clothing In some areas of the Academy, for reasons of hygiene and safety, students may be asked to bring appropriate protective clothing, for example when cooking, in Art, or in Technology lessons. The trust will fund, for every pupil in Years 7-11, a blazer, logo badge, tie and school bag. This will be for all pupils on roll on 1st September 2014. Any subsequent purchases of the above will then be made by parents/carers as usual. Once the uniform is finalised you will be informed how you are able to receive the funded items. Proposed changes to the professional dress code for the Sixth Form will follow after half term 2
Proposed changes to the Academy Day – September 2014
Proposed new Academy Day 7.45am..................... Breakfast Club 8.30am..................... All pupils must be on site by 8.30am 8.35am-8.50am ....... Tutor Period 8.50am-9.50am ....... Lesson 1 9.50am-10.50am ..... Lesson 2 10.50am-11.10am ... Break 11.10am-12.10pm ... Lesson 3 12.10pm-1.10pm ..... Lesson 4 1.10pm-1.50pm ....... Lunch 1.50pm-2.50pm ....... Lesson 5 2.50pm-3.50pm ....... After School Activities As happens already for those pupils who choose to be involved, eg, sporting fixtures, clubs, revision sessions. All school transport will be consulted about the changes, this includes any SEND transport. From September 2014 no pupil will be allowed to leave the school premises at lunchtime, except pupils in Years 12 and 13.

This is to represent the link between the Wirral and the City of Liverpool. 4 Date of the Parental Meeting to meet members of the Northern School’s Trust Members of the Northern School’s Trust and its Chief Executive, Nigel Ward, would be delighted to meet parents/carers on Tuesday 10th June 2014 at 5.00pm in the School Hall. This will be an opportunity to hear about the exciting changes ahead and to ask questions of members of the Trust. We look forward to welcoming you at this event. 5 Details of a parental survey about behaviour We would like to ask parents/carers to complete a survey about behaviour. This will allow us to review our systems and practices to ensure an outstanding climate for learning.
